We won't be here come the end of the season, but no reason we can't take a seat for now.

The Championship 16/17 is not governed by reason. It's much like bird law.

Anyone can go up this season. Just can't wait to see the fallout when only 3 of the big spenders (Newcastle Wednesday Sheep Norwich Villa) go up

6th place despite facing all of the sides coming down for the Premier League...

Thinking twice about it we might actually not end up in the mid-table thread for a while

We're definitely good enough for the play offs. The board, management, players and fans have a bond like I've never seen before, place is buzzing. Obviously have to see how we react to inevitable bad form but our fitness is without doubt up there with the best around and plenty of talent in there too.

Tipped you as dark horses for playoffs before a ball had been kicked. Seen no reason to change that, your definitely a club heading in the right direction.

What's going on with Wednesday this seaso Liam_SWFC Walkley_Owl? Obviously early days and you're not far off the top six, but I expected you to be the pace setters given you kept all of your key players and strengthened in some key areas.

A failure to take our chances is killing us mate, I also think our summer recruitment has seen us fail to bring in what we really needed, as much as Almen Abdi and David Jones are good players I'm not sure we really needed them if Carlos wants to stick to his 4-4-2. The system being used at the minute is too slow and teams are finding us predictable, we're also lacking pace which is why I'm hoping Matias gets fit quickly. Carlos needs to get it right sooner rather than later or the pressure will be on.

Don't want to talk to soon, but hope we're here to stay. 4 of the teams you would have expected to be up here are now in the top 6, don't expect top 2 to come from outside current top 6. Looks like top and bottom now starting to take shape. Normally 1 team has a late charge from out of the pack. Can Villa or Derby still do it? Any other outside bets Preston? Bad start last year, same again this, but seem to have started putting a good run together earlier this time. Anyone else fancy their teams chances?

Not really, we'll be there or there abouts but probably fall short. We need to make the most of this season whilst we have Tammy here, and I think if we are where we are in January, Lansdown will delve deep into his pockets to try and make sure we stay there.

Not many will beat em this year so if we can then we're well on our way. If not, oh well, not many will take the points off em.

Recent performances suggest we won't be in here too much longer. Could change if we manage to put in a good performance for a whole game. Either way I'll just enjoy it while it lasts.

And despite how poor we've been, we've still won five of our last seven.

On the other hand, you could say that being able to win whilst not playing that well is a sign that we can mount a challenge. The one time we did produce a decent 90 minutes we gave our opponents a real thrashing (Fulham)

For what its worth, I dont think we are genuine contenders just yet. Think we'll tail off to about 10th by January. After that, who knows!

Mid table I would be delighted with. But I don't know what has happened in the past month or so but it seems everything has just clicked into place.

I don't know about you but the past few performances at Deepdale have been up there with the best I've seen in years.

If you told me at beginning of season Garner would be gone, and our strike force would be Robinson and Hugil I would have thought we would be in Rotherhams position.

Think positive

Why? That's such a defeatist and dull mentality being content with mediocrity. I appreciate your budget is small and such, but Brentford finished in the top six a couple of seasons back. Same as Ipswich.

No one going to pick up on JJH calling someone else defeatist?
