See Fabric lost it's fight to stay open. Big shame and of course usual shite from Police and Council. Their statement they read out at the hearing was spot on.

We went to a great local night at the weekend which was a lot more enjoyable than the massive Hydra night at Studio spaces. Some great music not always to my taste but was good to hear some different techno. Glad we dragged our asses out for it.

Bluebird I see DVS1 is coming to Cardiff in November. A few of us will be coming over for that. :)

The Fabric thing is just one massive joke, from the years old planning permission on the site to the undercover police report on the place being safe and easy going. When will these people learn that the way to stop drug related deaths isn't through closing down "hotspots" but by regulation and controlled distribution through legal taxable means.

As for the gig you mentioned, the only google search I found was from back in 2011 when he played in The Vaults! Got a link for it as my November is looking quiet at the moment..

As I said in the box last night, when T.A announced the closure of Fabric, may as well shut every club in the UK down. Haven't been for years to Fabric, never used to pay as a mate of mine was friends with a guy in the ticketing department, we always got put on 'the list' as he called it.

Jeez that statement is a work of art. Can't disagree with a single thing written in it. Did you see the quote where the Council suggested lowering the BPM to see if that would help?! When those are the sort of people being dealt with, you have absolutely no chance of coming away victorious.

Oh yeah I did see it pop up on Facebook yesterday as it goes! Hopefully be able to round up some mates to take a look at it.

Shame about Fabric, unfortunately I never got the chance to go. Hope they get a bit of luck with the appeal, but it'll probably end up getting turned into flats.

HIXXY!!!!
Absolute tunes, the lot of them. Especially, I Seeeeeee the Liiiiiiight. That Bonkers 13 album cover in the first video has a bonus cd called Hixxy's Old Skool Killa Cuts which is quality.

These three are all bangers too, that need adding to yours...

Because Hixxy gets slated a bit for making everything a bit trancey and new skool, this ones a bit of a bouncy old sounding effort...

Zadig in Manchester was utterly insane last night - 3 hours of complete chaos on the dancefloor I wish it had never stopped. Completly blown Hydra out of the water :) Full on driving Techno that just kept going and going and going. Unreal, and I don't that say that lightly.

Bluebird_Dai we have tickets for compound so get on board. ;)

This weekend didn't go to plan. Room 237 put on a brilliant night at the Coroner's court in Bristol in Spring. This time around the music was poor... Why they put October who plays house in the main room I have no idea. The organisation from Lakota was even worse, two portaloos for 100's of people and one got blocked, two people at the Bar, no cloak room and to top it off someone was sick on my girlfriend. That was a bit amusing and gave us an excuse to leave at about 3am. Really not sure how they managed to get it so wrong after it being so right six months earlier.

Yes mate going to be there. :) I came off my bike and fucked my knee last Friday but as I've still gone to work all week this is my treat. Looking forward to it and the clubs right near the station correct?

Yeah mate it's a 5 minute walk from Cardiff Central, it's marked on Google maps as well so you can't get lost finding it. Will probably end up bumping into you at some point during the night!

I'll message you tomorrow evening so you know who to look for so you're not wandering around asking people if they post on a football forum. :)

Epidemik last Friday was quality. So good to be back raving again. Ratpack tore it up, like they usually do. Gammer and Breeze did a good history of hardcore set too and the drum n bass room was pretty old skool and jungley, which is obviously the way it should be.

Anyway, this popped up on my Youtube feed. I have no idea who this Marshmello chap is, I suspect he's some rubbish American EDM dj/producer and you can slate me all you like but I've got to say this is a tune...

Oh and I've had my ticket for the Bangface Weekender 2017 for a month or so now and the initial lineup was announced last week...
http://www.bangface.com/events/weekender2017/lineup/
...Luke Vibert, TQD, Hype, Bogdan Raczynski, Ratpack, Hellfish, Producer, Lenny Dee, Bong-ra, Deekline, Squire of Gothos and Jerome Hill should all be decent. Anyone else familiar with anyone on that list and think they're worth checking out in advance?
Group of about 22 of us going for my mate Wrighty's stag do, gonna be a messy one.

Welcome back. :) Sounds like a good night and how was the venue?

Om Unit and Binga were pretty good both times I've seen them. DnB but with some reagee stuff thrown in iirc.

Clark is good but might be a bit slow. His live sets are always interesting. Randomer, Jerome Hill and especially AnD should be really banging techno. :) Oh and the Liberators are full on Acid Techno if that's your thing.

Had a good one at DVS1. Great little venue and everyone played well. Good crowd too and met BB which was good especially as I ended up going on my own. Ended up at another friend's after until 3pm which made for a fun trip home through Cardiff trying to catch a train back to Bristol slightly mashed.

Were meant to be at Tribe this weekend but think we'll possibly be skipping it.
