So Brothers, here we are with a new edition of the REAL BROTHERHOOD LEAGUE TABLE for this coming season. I'm sure GTFCfish won't mind us cracking on with this.

Last year, Orient completed a unique non league double of tinpot champions and prestigious, inaugural Brotherhood League winner. That is the legacy that will forever define them to future generations. Chesterfield came bottom without a single Brotherly victory so will be fired up undoubtedly.

Now, there's controversy over who actually can take part in this. For the element of doubt and no ifs buts or petty toy out the pram hissy fits (but but but we spent 15 years in the FL etc) NO. Sorry. Nothing personal. This league is for those who've spent the MAJORITY of their history as an EFL club. Phoenix clubs are exempt (but but we're not a phoenix club!!) Oohhh yes you are. There is an affiliate league for those deserving of respect but can't enter this for many years. Gutted much? You should be.

So this year's participants in alphabetical order:

Chesterfield
Hartlepool
Notts County
Stockport
Torquay
Wrexham

(York have automatically won the 'Brothers in the regions' title so congrats and see you next year).

The rules:

1) Any other similar leagues but with non authorised participants are a sham and will be shut down quickly.
2) The teams play each other as per fixture list x2 home and away
3) Points are accumulated based on above
4) NEW FOR THIS YEAR (to promote harmony mutual respect and cooperation)

After the 36 game mark - Lower placed Brothers in the VN who willingly allow higher placed Brother clubs a victory will get +2 points for their effort. This is all for the promotion of natural order.

If a lower placed Brother beats a higher placed they'll be awarded 3 points for the win but -2 points for not respecting the competition/brethren. So in essence, just one point.

5) Totals will be calculated based on goodwill points and home and away records. A winner will then be declared.

League table updates will be done every couple of months.

Any of the above could be revised if a Brother has suggestions.

AUGUST FIXTURES

6th - Notts vs. Stockport (nice way to kick off) 1-1
18th - Notts vs. Wrexham 1-1
26th - Hartlepool vs. Wrexham 4-2
26th - Stockport vs. Chesterfield 2-0
31st - Torquay vs. Hartlepool 1-2
31st - Wrexham vs. Stockport 1-2

Good luck one and all.

Seeing as neither side was off the mark yet, the first clash of the season saw points shared in true Brotherhood fashion. You love to see it.

As you are all aware, I am the FOUNDER and SOLE administrator of the Brotherhood. As such, nobody else has authority to change the rules of membership. For newcomers, members are those clubs who were in the Football League, in any guise, in 1986. Membership is for all time. No member may leave and no new members can be admitted. There are thus 92 members, all of them active.

That is all. :ds:

Both clubs were a credit to the organisation. Respect, cooperation, and social justice all in evidence last night. The Three Pillars of hood-dom followed dutifully. Hats off all round.

Has it always been "The Real Brotherhood"?

It's like some offshoot of the IRA.

It's a self recognition of their illegitimacy. There is but ONE Brotherhood, the one I founded some 10 years ago and brought to the original incarnation of this forum, on our arrival back in the National League in 2013. I am the SOLE administrator.

No one else has the authority to change the rules or the membership. Members were those clubs in the Football League, in any guise, in 1986.

Membership is for all time, no member may leave, no new members may be admitted. There are thus 92 members for The Brotherhood, all of them active. :ds:

BROTHERHOOD LEAGUE TABLE 19/20 UPDATE:

D29B29EA-ACF8-43AC-A33A-1634DF1D177C.jpeg

So then after last nights games we have a shock leader in the Brotherhood league table, Notts County and their quickly shoved together team of strangers have raced into an early lead based on N being before S in the alphabet.
Meanwhile highly fancied Wrexham after some good Summer additions are trailing way off the pace in last place having not managed to register a single point or even a single goal in the Brotherhood league.
All to play for.

There is no hierarchy in The Brotherhood, all members have equal status. As the founder, I am the sole administrator and the sole authority in all matters relating to The Brotherhood. Your Mickey Mouse League table and fixture list is of no consequence or relevance at all. :ds:

Of course you would say there is no hierarchy. . Halifax would be at the bottom of the pack.
It doesn't matter how many times you say 'you make the rules, no one gives a shit.

Final Warning- as a Tin Potter you are not permitted to address me directly. Please ask one or other of our Brothers to make your representations to me on your behalf.

Further attempted direct interactions with me will result in your muting.

Thanks. :bdick:

A limited Brotherhood, more "of Man" than "pre-Raphaelite", although that may not be a bad thing considering his performances for ManYoo.

Where's Bradford PA, Hereford and York. Yes, I know, the NL North/all-things-Alfreton thread. But missing Barrow out is inexcusable - 50 years in the Football League and with a fair chance of coming top...

I don't know who is supposed to be updating this thread, but he or she is slacking off :sna:

Anyways, after careful consideration (and helpful advice I got from fellow brother B2TF) I've decided to whittle down my list of proper/ex-league/brotherhood/whatever clubs. As per comrade BT2F's wishes, only clubs that were in the FL before 1986 are now considered for inclusion in this league.

results to date -
Wrexham 2-1 Barrow
Wrexham 1-0 Halifax Town
Halifax Town 2-0 Hartlepools
Stockport 3-2 Barrow
Notts County 1-1 Stockport

table -
Wrexham 6
Stockport 4
Halifax Town 3
Notts County 1
Aldershot 0
Chesterfield 0
Torquay 0
Hartlepools 0
Barrow 0

Cheers!

Vanni is an outed Pools racist, he's already committed in print several crimes against The Real Brotherhood on this very forum.

He is to be ignored and opinions disregarded until a full and frank apology is released from him.

Carry on Brother Soup in your endeavours, you're doing a fine job!

head of hair (non combover club) reality table.

http://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/match-info/tables

hope this helps.:db::fish:

Further pathetic tables due to be published in other leagues by formation clubs, European cup winners, FA Cup winners, towns with a nightclub.... etc prize money zero, trophy cheaper than a tin pot (likely pewter)

Well, stick around here too long and that luscious hair of a Herculean club with history and silverware becomes diminished.

You may become part of the combover club (bother hood). Rules are strict, as at any dead end past ages club. Slag each other off, talk thine self up, complain and bellyache be rude to the bar staff "dont you know who I am?!" But after it gets a bit late (for your cause and hope) recline into a corner with the same gentlemen and comb each others bald spot over as you drink mild and discuss te good ol days and the disgrace of these tinpot upstarts who dare to be called our current peers, having, never! won the old Northern Football league in te 30's played Arsenal or Villa in te cup and have heritage, god damn it!

Personally, as a County fan, I would be surprised if many took that path, but give it a few season of disaffection, and some bitter old combover coots could stray down this path and rather associate themselves with Welsh cup champions, Cheshire also rans, clubs re elected from division four time and again and phoenix clubs renting a stadium in front of 1500 every week rather than rising above that mess, deride other tinpot clubs debasing an actual history in the process.

Well hello there, Mr. Smith, welcome back. Dunno why a Villa fan is that bothered to be honest, the gear must be mind blowing where you live, another quality post again at stupid o'clock in the morning. The Brotherhood is the bane of your life. It's unhealthy mate, it brings out and exacerbates your weird bald man fetishes and I'd quit now until your life spirals further into the depths of obsession, anger and despair.

It's quite simple. When we arrived in this league in 2013, in solidarity with our brother clubs against the Mickey Mouse mafia who delighted in insulting us while pretending they were in some way our equals, I founded the Brotherhood of Great and Historic Football League Clubs. I am the founder and sole administrator, and I make the rules.
These are as follows:

1) Members are those clubs who were in the Football League, in any guise, in 1986 (i.e. immediately before the betrayal of automatic relegation).
2) Membership is for all time- no member may leave the club
3) No new members may be admitted.
4) There is no hierarchy within the Brotherhood, all members have equal status.

However some of the new arrivals into the division have taken it upon themselves to impose their own hierarchy, with their own clubs at the top, naturally, while expelling other clubs they deign to be beneath them. The fact that Hartlepool are the instigators, only adds to the hilarity of the conceit. Their mini-Brotherhood has no legitimacy, since as the founder I have copyright for the concept, and am the SOLE administrator and rule maker.

That is all. Thank you for asking. :ds:

Ah, I see. So basically a league where everyone wants to join but those in it are desperately trying to get out!

You can only be a brother if you are a brother. Many wish to be brothers but envy is a deadly sin.

I look forward to a Herculean bout with brother Wrexham tomorrow.
