You also looked bang ordinary when we beat you at our place, but heyo.

Wigan won the league the year before pretty handily, yet were relegated without a whimper this season. What happened previously doesn't mean a whole lot of anything - you're assuming we won't strengthen, which we already have by adding James Meredith.

We were bottom of the league after that match, our first 4 games were our weakest performances of the season. We were a totally different team second half winning almost every match.

When we played Milllwall ad BL you played like it was a testimonial and you'd given up/ not bothered. However for the last 10 minutes I admit you finally put in some effort and probably deserved to pull a goal back.

You've obviously not read the bottom of my post, I've already mentioned that Wigan have been related and playoff team Barnsley have has a great season, so form from the previous year doesn't mean much. I think Millwall will stay up but anything could happen.

I'll take a £10 charity bet that Bolton finish higher than Sheffield United this season.

I'll also have £5 charity bet with someone that Gary Madine will score more goals this season than Billy Sharp (league only).

I'll take the £10 bet but not the £5 bet.

I'm pretty confident we'll have a season similar to Barnsley and finsh comfortable mid table. I expect Bolton to either just stay up or just go down BUT as already stated anything could happen really, football is full of surprises. United could be near the bottom and Bolton could be near the top, anything is possible ha ha.

Regards Sharp I'm not so confident, I admit he's a great finisher but he needs setting up with the ball passed directly to his feet. Madines physicality means he can cause trouble who ever he's up against, he's a poor player but very effective and gauranteed to do a job, so fair do's.

I'll take you up on that Madine bet

We looked a division higher than Bolton and Millwall when we played them in the second half of the season.

You didn't, you just had a routine home win against a team a little off form after our cup run.

You should change your reading material, Wigan went down all too easily and Barnsley were hopless 2nd half of the season and better improve a hell of a lot or they will go this year, 2nd season syndrome.

I'll have both bets if they're still available.

If you're relying on Gary Madine to score the goals that keep you up I'm afraid it'll end in disappointment.

Billy Sharp used to be one of the most sought after strikers in the division but he's getting on a bit now. Still he's better than Madine.

Rotherham's record points low might be in danger!

You've got a fair few weeks of more losses before you need to pull up a seat, maybe just get the binoculars out and see what's going on.

First win today, should have come ages ago. Hopefully we'll be moving upwards from here on.

We've got 10 tricky games coming up.

I have no doubt we'll be cemented somewhere in and around the bottom three by the end of them.

I'd guess with another manager at the helm, too.

It’s not even October yet and the gap between SU and BW is already 19 points.
Looks like BW target for the season is to try and beat Rotherham’s record lowest points total.
Must be terrible, starting the season so badly with little hope.
It’s incredible because there’s plenty of matches left to recover but it does look like BW are down.

Horwich, Burton plus one.
If we go down, which me might, we won't get cut adrift imo. We have a bad run then we come good again to stay in touch. I still
Think we could stay up,especially when we get our record signing back at xmas from
Injury.
I think Sunderland will drop again. They have a vortex of depresssion hanging over the club which is tough to shake.

We'll be in this thread for a while this season.. 9 points from 10 games is unacceptable, and with Sheff Utd (A), Leeds (A) and Middlesbrough (H) our next few games, we will probably not be looking in any better in a few weeks time.

Last season seems a long time ago.

Struggling to see us beating anyone at the moment. Wonder how long the new owners are going to put up with it.

Was yesterday the lowest league attendance (bar the snow against QPR last season) in years? Seems like the fans are voting with their feet.

I thought Sunderland looked a decent side, played much better than Wednersday, Reading, Cardiff, Barnsley and Millwall at Deepdale anyway but obviously there was the Grayson factor.

O'Shea, Cattermole, N'Dong, McGeady, Honeyman, Vaughan... decent players at this level.

If they can get a couple of wins next month and kick on then i think they could trouble the top half.
