Cringing in my seat watching that final. Respect Taylor, obviously, but he is a complete and utter arsehole when things aren't going his way. Encouraging the Icelandic clap thing while MVG was throwing, getting the arse about MVGs celebrations and then doing that sarcastic clap thing when he won a leg - lucky MVG is a pretty calm guy, someone else may have tried to lamp Taylor one.

He can't be a gracious loser. Don't give a toss whether he's frustrated or not, a man of his age and experience should be behaving better.

Can't stand the c***. Him going off the stage at the end for no reason, making everyone wait for him to get back before MvG could be presented with the trophy. Then he's there jumping up and down on the stage making it all about him. He's just a complete fake, everything he does is for the cameras.

Rod Studd is a cringeworthy knob too, he's shit scared of Taylor and feels like he needs to arse kiss the fucker just to get an interview out of him. "Oh Phil, please could we just grab a quick work Phil, oh that's great and once again thanks so much for that Phil". Whereas normally he would just walk up to a player and just start asking him questions.

Sky's coverage of Darts is generally excellent but they have a serious problem how much they fawn over Taylor. Mardle and Harrington can't see past him.

I enjoyed watching Taylor get his ass kicked last night. The sooner he retires the better as far as i'm concerned. Some really good posts above which i completely agree with.

MvG destroyed Anderson there, hopefully he does same to Taylor. Good to see a PDC tournament on the BBC.

Why would you want a Dutch man to beat an English man sort yourself out

Harrington I can agree with but Mardle always comes across as having a hatred for Taylor to me. I always get the impression that Mardle is extremely jealous of what Taylor has achieved

It's the British way. We moan when our sportsmen and women fail but ultimately we struggle to accept when one of our own is successful and instantly create a hatred towards them

I don't watch darts on Sky so I can't compare but it was pretty decent. Jason Mohammad was actually bearable which is more than I can say for his coverage of the football.

Mohammed always comes across as an arrogant ponce, can't stand him. Bar that the coverage was decent, Paul Nicholson was very good. The whole thing was a refreshing change from the Phil Taylor arse kissing show we see all the time on Sky. (see above posts). As for not wanting Taylor to win, it's nothing to do with his ability as he is still immense. The problem he has is that he's an utter c*** of a man.

Peter Wright beats Phil Taylor 10-9 in the semi final, with Taylor missing 7 darts to win the match.

Wright v Van Gerwen coming up in the final in around 20 mins.

Wright had the match in his hands there but couldn't take it out when it came to it. MvG adds yet another title.

Lewis losing 3 games in a row to that sort of opposition is shocking really.

Anderson's scoring was ridiculous towards the end of that match. When he's on that form he is near unbeatable.

What a match. Wade's pressure doubling was immense there.

MvG v Wade in the final.

Some twat in the pub bet me £20 that Webster would win whilst 6-1 up, Glad MVG turned it around for that but I'm getting bored of him winning everything now
