I'm late to it but Life Is Strange is a lovely game, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes any of the (now slightly stale) Telltale series of games. And I've just seen that they're making a sequel, so that's good too.

Played some of the first episode when it came out but never bought the full game. Is one of June's free PS Plus games so will definitely check it out.

Bought the Friday 13th Game after seeing Craig talking about it in the ShoutBox.

Absolutely loving it so far after about 4 runs. Don't have a clue what I'm doing/meant to do and just follow a random around the map, but it's excellent. My teammates were probably swearing when I got picked as Tommy Jarvis and ran straight for Jason not knowing you got one bullet though. :ffs:

Ah well, haven't been Jason yet, but so far, so good.

Ok, I bought Persona 5. All you fuckers had better be right about it. If it's anything less than the single greatest achievement in the history of mankind then I think it'll have failed to have lived up to the hype you've all given it.

Borderlands 2.

I finished the first one a week or so ago, thought it was fantastic, and decided to give the much-heralded sequel a go.

I really loved Borderlands 1 and 2, played it excessive on PS3.

Actually the German PS Store has some nice discounts on older PS4 Games: Just bought Infamous Second Son plus the Standalone First Light for 19,99€.....(played Infamous and Infamous 2 years ago on PS3)
ah yes and Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition with all the DLC's for 14,99€ (So I am actually in North Africa shooting "Krauts" and save Winston Churchill (that's the name of one of the DLC's ;) )) and Wolfenstein: New Order for 3,99 € (OMG  )

I really, really enjoyed Second Secon and First Light. The neon power was what made the game for me. So much fun zooming around the place at speed.

Might be able to squeeze a couple of runs in now if I can find a session, otherwise I'll be on around 7ish for an hour or two.

Damn it I was really hoping it was your head I squished.

Just got killed pretty quick as a counselor. Got trapped in a storage room with no escape route. Respawned as Tommy Jarvis, fixed the car and high tailed it out of there sharpish. Cowardly but effective.

Day 1: It has arrived, but I'm resolved to finishing Zelda before I get started. One more beast to go, then Ganon is gonna fucking die and I can get on with this Anime bullshit.

Following on from the AC Ezio trio I completed, I've just finished the main story on AC Black Flag and it's probably my favourite so far. One I could easily pick back up at any point and have a bash at taking out the Spanish Armada. Love the history scenario's and references in the game, right up my street.
Disappointed I wasn't able to play AC III before BF and also now unable to play Rogue post BF as it's not available on PS4. Seems like there's a couple of holes in the story now. Started Unity the other day, looks and feels completely different but looking forward to getting into it and having a mooch around Paris.

Au revoir for now.

Had an old school few weeks either side of being obsessed with Rocket League.

Completed Fahreinheit which is an old Quantic Dream title (before Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls). Good little game although a bit dated now. And my god does it hurt your fingers with the long quick time events.

Currently going through Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories after completing the first one. Enjoying the card based system although it took a while to get used to.

Lego Star Wars on Games With Gold has reminded me that it's a decent little game that I actually already own and forgot about! So gone back to that for a bit!

You planning on playing Birth By Sleep? That's ace. By far the best of the spin-offs. KH2 is obvs excellent, as well.

It's part of the 1.5/2.5 Final Mix collection so I shall get round to playing it. Really enjoying the series so far.

You know that feeling when you finish a game so big, so grand, so important, so damn impactful, that your life just feels empty once it's finished?

Yeah. I finished Zelda: Breath of the Wild today.

I'm fucking lost right now. Like, i got it on launch, so just under 3 months ago. I get that most people seemed to have it finished weeks (even months) ago, but with the free gaming time I've had I've tried to spend it all on Zelda. But now I don't know what to do with myself. And the real pain in the ass is that usually, when you finish a great 40/50/60 hour or so game, it's kind of sad to see it go, but you feel as if it's just about right... like it's gone just before outstaying its welcome and you can now get started on something new and exciting with this big opening of free time.

But I still don't feel like I'm ready to finish with Zelda yet... and I know, I can load it back up and run around and finish the rest of it all and spend hours more in Hyrule, but I just know I won't. When I'm doing that stuff before finishing a game, I convince myself that it's all worth it long term because it'll aid in my quest to finish it. But once that main story is done, I can't bring myself to stick around, ever. So that's it. BotW is done. And I know it's got a long shot of me ever playing it again because, great as it is, it's so fucking big... and I don't tend to replay long ass games. So it's goodbye. :( I felt a bit like this after finishing MGS V, but this is a lot worse...

So let's talk about just how fucking good Zelda is, then, shall we? Because fucking hell, is it good or what? I'm a guy who's played a fair few Zelda games and generally speaking, I like three of the ones I've played (OOT, TP, Skyward Sword) and absolutely adore the other one (wind waker), but I was never the biggest advocate for Zelda on the planet, Wind Waker aside. I always enjoyed the series, but usually found myself getting fed up before finishing the games and generally felt that it was a series that, in truth, was a tad over rated.

But even I have been utterly converted to a die hard fan of the series after this game. It's hands down the best Zelda game, and I say that confidently even though it means I'm saying it's easily better than Wind Waker, which I consider to be one my favourite games ever. So, on that topic, where does BotW figure into the "best games ever" discussion?

I get that that's not exactly a question that has an answer. Different people look for different things in games... elements that some people may consider are if it has the best story (which, while it's fine, I wouldn't say Zelda has a great one), others say it's the game that produces the most play time (again, Zelda does good, but up against other games out there like WoW it pales in comparison), others say it's the game that gives the most competitive challenge (being an offline game, Zelda doesn't even fit into that zone)... so yeah, it's hard to quantify.

But damn, it's gotta be in that discussion, regardless of what you're after as an overall package, right? Like, comfortably. In 10 or 20 years from now when people are putting together "best games of all time" lists, it feels like a game that is going to be in with a genuine shout of topping those sorts of things. And I get that there is a whole army of games out there that could make that same claim, it's gotta say something that it's even something that'd be considered to be able to compete with that stuff.

The whole deal with it though... the open world along with the way it completely refuses to take you by the hand, owing to you being able to create your own wonderous sense of discovery, the feel of adventure (and not just adventure, but an adventure that is entirely your own, created and crafted by your own decisions in how you approach things... only after playing BotW do you realise that no game has ever come close to creating that like BotW does), the game world (Which must surely be among the best ever, if not the best?), the music, the combat, the puzzles, the... fuck it, I could be here all day. But there are so many things that it does so well. A lot of games come out and they do this one particular thing as good or better than any game has ever done before... Zelda does that in countless different departments. And there's so little to complain about, as well. One of the biggest compliments that can be given to it is how it's genuinely hard to pick a fault in it... still, even having finished it. Yes, one or two quests and whatever are a pain in the ass, but those are three or four out of hundreds of things to do. But, as well as being a game that I can think of so much praise for, I also find myself really scraping the barrel when it comes to criticizing it too. Surely a game that does that much, that well, and next to nothing poorly, has to be among the best ever made? I'd certainly have it in that discussion.
