Went to the docs yesterday and was pleased by BP was down 120/84. When I returned from living in Ireland it was a mind blowing 210/120 - dead man walking!

God knows. I retired at 48, moved to Ireland to train greyhounds - felt great. Moved back 10 years later, signed on at a local GP surgery, had my BP tested and kapow - ticking timebomb. I blame Guinness with Paddy chasers!

That moment when the kids are in bed, the Mrs has gone up, and you can just sit there, in complete and utter silence for a couple of minutes, before turning on the tele - you dont even have to like what's on, it may even be the news, or some shite proramme telling me that the FTSE is doing something numerical, it doesnt matter - The point is, I can sit there.. and just fucking hear it.

Bliss.

Waking up at 3am with lower abdominal pain, freaking out because you're disoriented and think your appendix are about to explode like one of them thar ISIS fruit loops, only for the pain to subside because you actually only needed a massive poo.

Relief.

Getting a fair bit of outdoor work done in decent weather then settling down in the afternoon with a bottle of plonk. That was yesterday. Today will be exactly the same.

Stitches ? ffs Claret. Thought you were just getting a few pegs out mate.
Full anaesthetic mate, 18 teeth out and surgery to the lower jaw which was infected - all good now though.

You'll be on the Werther's Originals before you know it! Good luck recovering from that, pal.
