Perhaps the top 14 from last season in 1 and the rest in 2. I think you would be ok despite the little mishap :gr:

Fuck off. I deserve to be top division.

I say do it on alphabetical order.

No no way is there going to be 2 leagues because loads of people end up quitting half way through anyway and no it wouldn't work so forget about that crazy idea ok.

I'm afraid Carver is right for once. It's way more interesting with two divisions, but it also guarantees that people lose interest a lot quicker.Back on the old forum, I proposed to Joe. that he splits the NL prediction league into two divisions, and he and quite a few others liked the idea at first. Sadly, loads of div.2 players dropped out as soon as they knew they're weren't going up (or down ;)). IIRC, only three players kept on predicting til the end, and that was only because there were two promotion spots up for grabs.

Anyways, it's all good when people sign up for forum games, but not so when they keep dropping off one by one. One may think there are enough players now for two or more divisions, but we all know that only some 12 players will predict all throughout season.

A new rule we should have is that you can only make one prediction for each game, if you want to change it then tough shit, you've already made it.

I would get sick of people screwing up and then that big softy Oak would let them off. Then of course they would end up getting it right.

How about keeping it as one big league until the Boxing Day games? Then based on the league positions, cut it into two equal halves and have the top half as Division 1 and the bottom half as Division 2. Then, at the end of the season, you'll have your relegation and promotion places sorted, and the Champion of Division 1. Then, the Play Offs themselves can be used for the people sat in the Division 2 Play Off positions.

That way, with doing it halfway through the season and then at the end, instead of dragging it through an entire season, there's less chance of people getting bored as you could be hovering in mid table so end up in Division 2 after Boxing Day but then go on a good run and end up getting yourself promoted to Division 1. So in both halves of the seasons, there's an incentive to play as the ones who just made it into Division 1 after Boxing Day are then competing to stay from the bottom of Division 1 to avoid relegation.

Be interested to hear others thoughts on that as I think it'd work really well. And I'd be more than happy to help oakroader with anything during the course of the season. Not a problem.

That could work, I would be up for that!

He's not the only one, mysteriouscurle is a Carlisle fan too.

Mysteriouscurle was me, I changed my name back to Carver because it strikes more fear into people.

welcome back Dirk....hope your well...

Thanks, Oak. Better every day.
It was a pity that I had to miss the end of last season due to my 4 weeks in Hospital. OK, I was pretty shite in predicting Notts County (but LEP wasn't any better so it was only Notts County's fault :D )
I had always fun here last season. So I am really looking forward to the new season.

edit:
Just had a quick look at your list. Quite impressive so far...but still only 2 Notts Predictas with LEP and me? Damn, even Forest Green has already 2 :D
