This thread has gone missing, so I will start it again.

Gillingham out of contract
McDonald
Jackson
Parker
Herd
Rehman
Osadebe
Donnelly
Cundle
M Dickenson
List
Newcombe
Muldoon

Loans expiring
JET
Oshilaja
Cornick
Quiqley

I hope Mcdonald and Jackson get new contracts. Parker has probably earned a new deal as a squad player. Osadebe is also worth another year, but needs to be loaned out to gain experience.

Everyone else can go. Rehman did ok, but I think we can do better. Donnelly after early promise only scored 2 goals this season, and is now suspended by the club. Herd was hopeless and injured. Rest are youngsters

Not bothered about getting any of the loan players back.

Loan Finished
Phil Edwards (Out of contract at Burton, would be surprised if we tried to sign him)
Charlie Raglan (Out of contract at Chesterfield, would happily sign him as defensive cover)
Conor McAleny (Out of contract at Everton, praying we can can convince him to sign, however he has already recieved offers from the Championship)
Toni Martinez (In contract at West Ham and only signed for them last summer from Valencia for 2.4m. It has been suggested we may be able to tempt him back on a season long loan)

Out of Contract
Jack Stevens (Young keeper, was out on loan earlier in the season at Oxford City. Think we will keep and send out on loan again with another keeper coming in as back up)

Benji Buchel (GK. Definitely leaving, not played a game all season and will want first team football somewhere. Spent time on loan at Barnet this season)

Chey Dunkley (Looks like he is off, possibly to Rotherham. Been a decent defender for us and a great character. Really struggles though if asked to play the left CB role and isn't as good as Nelson on the right. I'd imagine one of MApps priorities is a left footed CB this summer)

Rob Cundy (Young defender, been out on loan at Southport. Rumoured to have already been told he can leave)

Miles Welch-Hayes (Young full back, been on loan at Bath City. Done well by all accounts and wouldn't be surprised if he was offered a new 1 year deal then loaned out again)

Josh Ashby (Young CM, been on loan at Oxford City. Currently injured. Will struggle to break into our midfield where we are well stocked already, can see him being released)

Jonny Giles (Winger who has been on loan at Aldershot Town. Another who has apparently already been told he wont be offered a new deal)

Jordan Graham (Young winger/forward, been on loan at Farnborough. Not certain if he is out of contract or not, but can see him staying on and going out on loan again.

Chris Maguire (Top quality player at this level. Would love him to stay another season. It's believed he wants a move back to Scotland but can certainly see him staying as he does seem to enjoy it here. Probably wont find out until later in the summer though)

Why is Sercombe transfer listed Barry?

Big fall out with Appleton. He wasn't picked as a starter at Wembley (he's about 4th choice CM for us, so no shock) and kicked off afterwards. Appleton is a very even handed manager, and a decent bloke, but you disrespect him at your peril.

Gillingham out of contract

McDonald - offer 1 year deal
Jackson - No, yay long throw but can't defend.
Parker - No, a tryer but we can do better
Herd - No, always injured and looks like a prop forward.
Rehman - No, past it
Osadebe - Yeah, I think he has talent, 2 year offer
Donnelly - Already gone
Cundle - Another year, heard good things and scored goals out on loan
M Dickenson - Chucked in the deep end, did no worse than experienced pros, another year
List - Can't see the point of him, no
Newcombe - No idea
Muldoon - Waste of a contract, get shot

Loans expiring
JET - TWAT
Oshilaja - Liability, not even if he was offered on a free
Cornick - Offered nothing
Quigley - Unsure how he has a professional contract.

Of ours, I'd probably chuck a one year deal at Jackson, McDonald, Parker, Osadebe, Dickenson and Cundle but the rest can go for me. Muldoon might well go down as the most peculiar signing we've ever made, no idea what went on there! Also, sell Dack and build a defence with the proceeds - Pierre from Wycombe would be where I'd start. There's some decent freebies trickling down from the Championship by all accounts, and one I'd certainly want to be looking at is Alan McCormack of Brentford, a useful versatile player.

The Bantams
Still Contracted:

GK: Colin Doyle

DF: Nathaniel Knight-Percival

MF: Nicky Law
MF: Romain Vincelot
MF: Timotheé Dieng
MF: Danny Devine

FW: Charlie Wyke
FW: Alex Jones
FW: Billy Clarke
FW: Reece Webb-Forster

Out of Contract:

GK: Rouven Satilmaier - ex Bayern Munich keeper. Done okay in the games he has featured. Decent back up keeper.

DF: Stephen Darby - been a great servant of the club, and is a great defender at this level. He doesn't fit McCall's style of play, and is on a considerable sum. Let go.

DF: James Meredith - the best left-back in the league, and arguably more attacking than most left-wingers. Must keep.

DF: Rory McArdle - no nonsense CB. Not brilliant technically, but usually pretty reliable. Keep providing he's back-up. Also rumoured to be on a fair sum.

DF: Tony McMahon - good versatile player. Can play a number of positions. Chips in with the odd goal and decent set-piece taker. Keep.

MF: Mark Marshall - had a great season. Our POTY. Must keep. Great attacking outlet who is full of confidence at the moment.

My only concern is that our recent success has stemmed from a very consistent and strong defence. Darby, McArdle and Meredith have played together since 2012. They have kept shit loads of clean sheets. It has been our strongest area for years. For the first time in a while, we may see mass changes in defence - which may need to happen anyway should we find ourselves in the Champ next season. Keeping Meredith is a must.

Loan Players:

DF: Kevin Toner - played twice and I'm not impressed.

DF: Matthew Penny - made his debut at Dale, and did okay. Came in as back up for Meredith.

MF: Josh Cullen - very good CM in this league. Rarely loses the ball, but doesn't have an eye for goal. Would love him back for another season, whether perm or loan.

MF: Alex Gilliead - done okay in patches. Discussions are already underway with Newcastle to sign him permanently apparently.

ST: Jordi Hiwula - done okay IMO. He doesn't get fed that ball often enough in the final third. He makes great runs, and misses a fair few chances - but 13 goals, most of which from the bench. Still only 22. Fits the new owners ethos and falls within the age-range their looking for. I can see us signing him on a perm.

We have a strong base to build from.

14 out of contract with us I think, not sure I can remember who they are but will give it a go. Caddis, Mellis, Lainton, Jones, Tuttle, Dudley, Brown, Burgess, names fail me as we had that many, think Etuhu, Rabchuka, Miller and anotherBrown av already gone a few weeks ago. Of the ones I remember only would keep Jones, Tuttle and possibly Caddis. We had 5 regular starters all out with injuries this season, Zeli, Mayor, Jones, Cameron and Tuttle. Be like new signings for the coming season. Add these to Vaughan, Murphy, Leigh, Cameron Burgess, Plus a few that Clarke will bring in. Better times next season. Also think Clarke will get rid of a few who are under contract.

Cheers Eric. Not a hope I know but he is exactly the kind of signing we need. Kasim and Rodgers are almost certainly for the scrap heap and I'd love for us to try and sign him.

What kind of fee do you reckon he would command?

Under Contract:

GK:
Mark Oxley,
Ted Smith

DEF:
Jason Demetriou,
Ben Coker (thought his deal expired but Brown has said it hasn't - must of had a clause)
Harry Kyprianou,

Mid:
Ryan Leonard,
Anthony Wordsworth,
Stephen McLaughlin,
Jermaine McGlashan,
Jack Bridge,

Att:
Simon Cox,
Nile Ranger,
Marc-Antoine Fortune
Theo Robinson

Loan Players:
Christian Walton - Keeper come in on emergency loan for the end of the season as the other 2 have been injured. Been a class act would love to have him back next year but won't happen.
Ryan Inniss - Defender come in on season long loan from Palace been injured for 80% of the season when he has played he looks like he is just waiting to get sent off. Don't want him back here again.
Luke Amos - Young CM from Spurs hasn't played alot and when he has he hasn't done much predict a fall down the leagues for this lad, hopefully not stopping at us.

Out of Contract:
Anton Ferdinand - been solid since he come here till the past few games where he hasn't been great - offer a year deal.
Adam Thompson - CB - has really come on this season would love to keep him - offer 2 year deal.
Michael Timlin - CM - love the bloke and he can slot in and cover - offer 1 year deal.
Luke O'Neill - RB - Release.
John White - RB - Been excellent when called in as back up this season - offer 1 year deal.
David Mooney - ST - Release.
Jason Williams - ST - Released already.
Zavon Hines - Winger - Release.
Frank Nouble - ST - Release.
Will Atkinson - CM/RM - Tricky one, he is a solid enough performer but think we should be looking to improve on him if we want to do better next year and he is not the sort of player who is going to do alot from the bench - offer a year deal but don't bend over backwards to keep him.

Quite a bit of deadwood is getting moved on and alot of big players are under contract. Be amazed if we didn't have offers coming in for Leonard so keeping him will be good. a few quality additions to that squad and we should be challenging again next year.

This is an easy one - bin the fucking lot!

Kasim, Obika, Thompson, Rodgers, Branco all out of contract and will go

Vigouroux will be sold

3 worth keeping - Conroy, Goddard, Brophy, maybe 4 with Norris who, despite being a non-scoring striker at least puts a shift in

Gladwin, Colkett, Feruz can all plague another team on loan

Anyone who signs Rohan Ince will get a great player - probably Championship quality

Wouldn't mind keeping Dabo on a perm if possible - and if cheap enough, of course

Main thing is getting shot of Williams and his sidekick who have plumbed the depths of ineptitude

Our 'retained' list has been announced.

PLAYERS UNDER CONTRACT FOR THE 2017/18 SEASON
Brendan Moloney, David Buchanan, Marc Richards, Alex Revell, Sam Hoskins, Shaun McWilliams, Aaron Phillips, John-Joe O’Toole, Leon Lobjoit, David Cornell, Matt Taylor (activated appearance related clause), James Goff, Joe Iaciofano

PLAYERS UNDER CONTRACT FOR THE 2017/18 SEASON BUT MADE AVAILABLE FOR TRANSFER
Jak McCourt, Harry Beautyman, Raheem Hanley, Rod McDonald

PLAYERS OUT OF CONTRACT
Adam Smith, Neal Eardley, Zander Diamond, Emmanuel Sonupe, Paul Anderson

LOAN PLAYERS WHO HAVE RETURNED TO THEIR PARENT CLUBS
Lewin Nyatanga, Keshi Anderson, Hiram Boateng, Gregg Wylde, Luke Williams, Michael Smith

Gabriel Zakuani has been offered a new contract, subject to an agreement being reached on his international commitments.

It seems like it was Edinburgh's choice to not offer Adam Smith a new contract, local press say there were only talks with Diamond, who seems to want to move back to Scotland.
I would have offered Anderson an extra year, and maybe McDonald not on the TL if he wanted to stay of course. He hasn't been handled well since Wilder left.

That's a very good question, but I wouldn't think it will be huge. He is out of contract, but the club has a one year option and Appleton has said we WILL take it up, with the express intention of getting a fee! It's a bit of a gamble if you ask me.

Good player, great player last year, but he's dropped down the pecking order with us, which goes to show just how much we've progressed. Will do a good job for somebody and wouldn't be surprised to see him heading to the south west, where he's from.

How do you rate Anderson and Boateng? Two players who've been on our radar in the last couple of years but I've never seen them live. I know Plymouth fans were quite impressed with Boateng last season.

Cobblers fans have not really had a chance to see the best of both to be honest. Keshi came in and scored a hat trick on his home debut but hasnt scored since and hasnt looked hes going to either. Trouble is he has been placed at the top of a diamond for most of his time here where he is completely ineffective, has quite a heavy first touch and is not quick enough on the ball to drive with it or pick a pass, could be decentish up top.

Boateng I really liked when he arrived, great physique and uses both feet. Sometimes gives the impression of being lazy with his body language but is clearly talented. Again either played him out wide or in a diamond neither of which suited him. Playing him out wide meant he would just chase the bill infield all the time.

Both clearly have ability, could see both doing well at this level but Boateng more so.

Under Contract
Joe Edwards - 2018
James O'Connor - 2018 - (Rumoured to have fell out with Whitney, might go)
Florent Cuvelier - 2018
Simeon Jackson - 2018 - (Rumoured to have fell out with Whitney, he's shit so should go)
Erhun Oztumer - 2018 - (Hasn't signed a new contract so could leave if a club comes in for him, will sell for around £500k I reckon)
Kieron Morris - 2019
Liam Kinsella - 2018 - (Rumoured to be going, not convinced of this myself though)
Reece Flanagan - 2018
Amadou Bakayoko - 2018
Jordan Sangha - 2019
Kory Roberts - 2019
Maziar Kouhyar - 2019
Callum Cockerill-Mollett - 2018
Dan Vann - 2018
Andreas Makris - 2019

Out of Contract
Neil Etheridge - Already gone, Whitney said he's been offered "six or seven times what he earns here".
Adam Chambers - We have a years option but he could retire at any moment, should stay though.
Craig MacGillivray - Announced he's leaving for first team football, league 2 bound.
Isaiah Osbourne - Doesn't want to play for Whitney, will join another league 1 side.
Matt Preston - Should offer a new deal, young, promising but inconsistent.
Theo Vassell - Should release
Kacy Milan Butterfield - Not a clue
Liam Roberts - Not a clue
Rory Oliver - Doesn't exist I don't think, no-ones seen him anywhere
Franck Moussa - Should release, overweight and not good enough

Loanee's
Scott Laird - Should keep but rumoured to have fallen out with Whitney. Plus we wouldn't win a race to sign him when other teams want him too.
Jason McCarthy - Class act, won POTS. Will stay at Southampton or sign for a Championship club IMO, far too good for us.
George Dobson - Average but young. Whitney says he wants him back on loan but I'm not fussed either way.
Will Randall - Who? Played all of 10 minutes.
Eoghan O'Connell - Out of contract at Celtic and we've supposedly offered him a contract. Good player but won't sign for us.

So all in all, we're fucked, 2nd year of Whitney in charge and a second mass exodus.

If Anderson is anything like his time here last season then he simply costs a fortune for what you get in return, rumoured £6-8k when here, he's just not worth anywhere near that

We'll offer Maddison a new deal but I'll be very surprised if he signs it. Regardless of what some Posh fans think, the boy is too good for this level.

So have Posh not released anyone? For every success you have in the transfer market, you also end up with lots of deadwood on long contracts.

I'd love to see us try but I suspect Mr Power would only offer a handful of beans and a pittance of a wage so I suspect he won't be pulling on a red shirt next season.

Would love to be wrong.

Swap dummigan for Wilson in your bold highlights and I pretty much agree with your assessment. Dummigan has never hit the heights of his loan spell and it's a big pre season for him. Wilson however is one of the first names on my team sheet these days. Mr consistent 8 out of 10.

Obadeyi should be no more than a squad player for me. Holloway is clearly the first choice but we need someone who can score on a regular basis alongside him and I'm not sure it's him. Bench warmer for me
