Does anybody know if those strong winds today have knocked out all the phone lines in Rotherham, as that is the only reason I can think that this second bid for Bogle from Rotherham that is definitely happening today by the 'contacts' SERNWA has has not materialised.
I really believed this guy too as normally he talks complete sense.....

Confirmed now that we've bid for Canos, Norwich haven't accepted or rejected yet. Permanent deal, Norwich recoup most of what they paid in the summer.

Strange that as I've just had a browse on your forum and there is fuck all about it.
So when you say common knowledge you mean your mate, sorry 'contact' told you and you believe him.
What a plonker.

Our forum? hahahaha

Millersmad, the forum for the over 60's.

You're making a fool of yourself. The lads here know time and time again, when I post something it comes off. (queue Kris Commons posts, which would have happened had he not been injured).

This from the man who a couple of days ago was arguing on the League 2 forum with Carver over who was the biggest WUM, you claiming it to be you, what kind of respect do you think that gives you on here?
So if you are not talking about your forum what do you mean by common knowledge?
There is only one of us making a fool of themselves here, and it isn't me pal.

I am the biggest WUM on here, no competition and everyone loves me for it. Ask around, they hate me and when I leave they want me back cos it's toss.

No c*** uses the forum. Full of geriatrics, ask any Rotherham fan they'll tell you the same.

I don't need to argue a bid has gone in, it has. Sounds like you're shitting yourself we keep bidding. Cute really.

So seeing as Winnall is off GTFCfish how much would we have to fork out for Bogle?
Tough one this as we are desperate to keep him and have offered him improved terms to stay (I'm guessing nothing like what you could offer him) so to convince Fenty to sell my guess would be anywhere around the 1.3M - 1.5M mark as he still has 18 months left on his contract so we don't have to do it on the cheap.
To be honest I expected if we got an offer around 600k to 700k we would sell but turning down Rotherhams 850k shows that we want a lot more and I'm delighted with that.

Sounds a fair estimate in today's inflated transfer fees. Winnall's contract is up in the summer so we won't get what we want for him. Should be enough to contribute to an appealing bid for Bogle though. Plus if Hourihane goes too we'll get something for that, though same situation as Winnall with his contract up in the summer. We already have a contingency plan at centre midfield though.

I want him to stay but fully expect him to leave when a big fish comes in, but I don't expect him to go to Rotherham.
If he goes to you then we'll done, and a player we signed for around 30k will be sold for over 1M and make us a shit load of money, what is there to shit myself about?

If he does end up leaving I would be happy for him to go to Barnsley, better career prospects for him than at Rotherham and a few good seasons for you and maybe sell him on and we get a nice bit of cash from a juicy sell on clause that we will definitely put in!

Ipswich don't have much money as it is, 1.5M for a donkey is mental.

I very much doubt you've seen enough of him to even have an opinion but he's scored more than Gary Hooper this season and the same as Steven Fletcher and fuck knows what kind of money they're earning. I know who i'd rather have out of the three.

He's a poor mans Nuhiu. Gary Hooper has missed a lot of the season through injury, and he was one of the leagues top scorers in 2016, Hugill isn't fit to lace his boots.

How the fuck have you come to that conclusion?

8 goals in 56 league apps for Preston.

Wouldn't be surprised if 36 of those are sub appearances, he's only broke into the team this season following the departure of Garner and has shown massive improvement.

Can't be assed getting into a valuation debate though, he's worth whatever we accept.

I've not seen much of him but your fans don't seem to rate him very highly it seems...

Still earning about £30k a week for a massive 5 goals.

He's nothing like Nuhiu, which tells me you've seen him play about once at the most.

Is Hugill a world beater? no. Is he worth more than a million in today's market? Yes,easily.

Most of our fans are thick as fuck.

His finishing lets him down but when it comes down to playing the lone striker role, he's strong as fuck, will chase all day, good burst of pace and an absolute nightmare to play against. If true it's true we've rejected a deal worth £1.5m for him then i'm a bit surprised but if Omar Bogle at Grimsby is worth over a million, then Hugill probably is worth twice that amount.

Here's his goals from this season (minus 2 more he scored at Carlisle after this was made) see what you could be getting for your money.

Hugill is a completely different player to Nuhiu as has already been said. His decision making and finishing in front of goal let's him down but his general all round play is actually pretty good and has improved massively this season.

Was told about the bid on Saturday, wasn't sure whether it was true or not because Ipswich don't seem to have spent that kind of money in a long time.

You would fancy McCarthy to have a good eye for a target man.

Dave Seddon has confirmed that it's true we rejected a £1.5m bid for him from Ipswich.

I suppose we got £1.8m for Garner who is 4yrs older and scored less goals.

Hugill actually looks alright on TV when I've seen him. Not the sort of striker I'd want us to sign but for a big fucker up front who is a nightmare to defend against, he seems pretty good in that role.
