would not be so confident if I was you tractorboys. keep Mick and you will finish below Wigan and Bristol city and go down, they both added to there squads massively.

Yeah, we're bad, but that that bad. We won't be relegated in a month of Sundays. That's the problem, stagnation. Combine our inconsistency (look at our last 10 games, we're all over the shop L5D2W3) with our total lack of direction and tactical ineptitude and you get exactly what we are.

Whether Town supporters like it or not, MM always has and always will comfortably have enough to steer any side clear of relegation from the Championship, but it certainly won't be pretty nor enjoyable.

P.S If you think you Bristol City can finish above us with Johnson in charge (despite Mick at the helm) then you need to get more sleep. (If they sack him, this could quickly change.)

I see the albino JJH liked your post despite Bristol City being in pole position to sign Willis at the start of the week.

It's an excellent signing, Willis is by far and away the best of an awful bunch at Coventry where the clubs a fucking joke.

We'll give survival a good go but if worse comes to the worse we'll fucking walk league one with the players we have for next year and beyond already.
SERNWA's outdone himself again MJA, Willis didn't sign, as expected.

Hilarious how he still swallows all the 'inside information' from his 'source' despite being consistently spoon-fed bullshit.

Zac Clough has signed for Forest permanently, he's the one I really wanted to sign to replace Hogan, but ho hum. Quite a lot of strikers joining new clubs in the Championship today...

I like this game, so I'll join in too.

SER "ITK" NWA made the bold prediction that three players would return to Rotherham in one post........ What was the result? None of them joined and one was even "close".

Ignore all the other posts where I said we fucked it up messing Leeds about.

Oh and remember my first post of the January transfer window? Don't be surprised to see Arnason, ALF or Morgan return...

Ones very close, with another we're hopeful on.

Could've done with strengthening at FB but other than that can't complain. This squad should never be going down

Think we have to deem this window as a success as we've kept our best players, bids for Hugill, Clarke, Robinson and Cunningham rejected supposedly.

Still unknown whether we've strengthened the first eleven with Horgan, Boyle and Browning but glad we didn't panic buy on a striker, still a chance we could sign up Keane although the novelty of that potential signign has well and truly died off.

Rhodes confirmed at Hillsborough for 10m got to be on the verge of financial fair play rule breaking if they don't go up this year.

Wigan panicked today?
We've needed a striker all window long. It's easy to look at how many signings we've made and say we've panicked but to be honest most of them were needed.

Obertan - Direct replacement for Wildschut, only 6 month contract so low risk - Free
Bogle - Needed a top striker as a priority this window - 1-1.5m with sell on
Mandron - Direct replacement for Le Fondre. Third choice striker - 50k
Jack Byrne - Competition for Jacobs, huge potential - Undisclosed but probably 6 figures.
Gilks - Competition for Haugaard with Jussi off in summer. - Undisclosed but will be peanuts
Bruce - Competition for Burn and Buxton. No risk loan
Weir - Versatile cover and competition for Jacobs. No risk loan
Laurent - The only signing I'd deem pointless. One for the future hopefully - Undisclosed but probably 6 figures.

So probably around 2-2.5m spent overall, we sold Wildschut for a deal worth 7.5m according to Sky Sports. Good business from us.

It's a loan until the summer and permanent thereafter, the transfer fee won't be paid until the summer which means it won't affect this seasons FFP

Could explain the delay, hope it's true I'm getting a bit worried about Ffp myself, understand the logic behind it, but no way can anyone compete with the relegated clubs financially. Look at what Villa have spent (somehow they're still not great) and they will be having no worries, the parachute payments are complete bollocks if you ask me, it will end up putting other clubs who try to compete with them either in financial trouble or in trouble due to the Ffp rules.

The fee is also quite canny, loan fee plus X if we don't go up and more if we do.
As if you needed Rhodes though...

Rhodes
Forestieri
Winnall
Fletcher
Nuhiu
Hooper
Hirst

Am I missing any? Surely you'll end up with a few disgruntled about not getting gametime. FWIW Winnall and Forestieri were quality last night and I've no idea why Carlos dragged Winnall off for Nuhiu because Flint had the beating of him in the air every single time.

Amazed you managed to get £7.5m for Wildschut, a decent player yes but seems a very good fee to me. Shame we won't be getting any money for Judge.

I wonder if this affects the extra £2m we get if Boro stay up?

I'm amazed as well, that's the kind of deal you lot are famous for getting for your best players. Surely must be some add ons in there (appearance and promotion clauses maybe) that takes it up to that figure because I can't see us getting the full 7.5m up front.

Contrary to the post I put saying Bogle cost 1-1.5m, BBC Radio Humberside are now saying that the Bogle deal was 750k up front plus adds ons taking it to 1m overall plus a sell on. I know he's unproven at this level but I'm shocked no one else matched us at that price, will have been cheap wages as well considering he'll have only been on three figures a week at Grimsby.

Precisely why they do need him because all those you mention have scored fuck all for them all season. Except winnall obviously.

Nuhiu is cack and Hirst is 17.

We would have five to pick from properly, expect 1FF to play wider.

Think Hooper's been injured but Forestieri's bagged a few mate. Fletcher's a bit shite as well isn't he? Can't believe he's on £35k per week at this level.

No idea if he's shite tbh I've only seen that Brighton game on tv the other so can't judge on that alone. But discounting winnall as all his goals have come at barnsley and that young en the other 4 have 19 goals with 1FF top scorer on 8. That's probably the reason they are 7th and not got another 10 points. Jordan Rhodes should cement them a playoff spot. If they miss out on top 6 I think Carlos will be on his way.

Jordan is a funny one, if you don't play to suit his game and rotate him a lot I don't think it'll go well. Similarly if you adapt your game too much it can stop you focusing on what you're good at with the focus all being on him, which we saw happen quite a bit at Blackburn. He wasn't as prolific last season and it's never worked for him with Scotland despite them being shit. But he's improved his all round game from what I've seen and with the right service will bag plenty as there aren't many better at what he does.

Contrary to popular belief you do not need a 20+ goal a season striker to get promoted or even just make the playoffs.

We're currently third and our top scorer has 8 goals.

We won the league 5 years ago and our top scorer had scored 12 times (2 of which were after promotion was assured)
