Nice of us to recycle our shirt to City, glad they used the dye change.

Hopefully we can avoid the next 100 pages being about how great Bristol City's transfer window is..

I'd rather go back to talking about Declan Rudd..
Don't read the thread mate, Reading have had fuck all involvement in it this summer anyway.

Still quiet on the QPR front. Not much happening in or our. Bowler still being linked with Everton but he is on the QPR tour.

Sorry Madj, we have just smashed our transfer record so forgive us on this one please.
Why are you lot so quiet though? Are you the only club still to sign anyone in the Championship now?

Tottenham will bid for Helder Costa if they fail to sign Douglas Costa from Bayern according to reports. If we did sell him we would get cash + Josh Onomah in return.

Club said that our season ending later would not effect our transfer window, but I think it has. As we did not know what league we would be playing in until 22 days after the regular season finished, this has to have been a disadvantage. Also a change in ownership last month would have not helped.

We have a good team, and the most important thing this Summer is to keep hold of it and the management. Which aside from Danny Williams (who has yet to accept/reject our contract offer) looks like we will do, cannot be a bad thing. Most of our first choice team is young too.

We will probably only sign three players this Summer (2 strikers and a defender), so it is not too surprising that it has been quiet here. Almost every rumour that came out of the club last Summer was true. So we may only have 4-5 rumours between now and September.

Fair comment Madj, a bit of stability never hurts and you do have a good side already.

We've not signed anyone yet.

Was expected as our chairman is hands on with regards to actual deals so most things happen when he's in the country, he's back this week thankfully.

Surprised by that Walkley but, like Reading, you're already a good side so, I guess, not too much needs changing.

turns out the medical for Samu Saiz was bullshit, Leeds are still battling it out, apparently he's one of them 50/50 rights players that's the stumbling block atm, Huesca own 50% and Atletico Madrid own 50% we've come in with the hghest fee of 3.75 million euros, the player has been liking Leeds fans comments on twitter about joining us (which means barely anything but he seems keen)

I hope we get him looks class, plays the same role as Hernandez and Roofe so we are gonna have a fair bit of cover

Not really surprising, same happened last season, we've identified who we want but pushing the deals through before July tends to be a hurdle.

We need :

2 centre halves
1 left back
1 winger with pace at least
1 midfielder who can do box to box.

We offered Danny Williams a fantastic wage but the lure of the PL with Huddersfield was a better carrot.

What are you buying then KM, 50%? Sounds like a right legal minefield WTGR.

Would've been a good signing that, you have a shit load of midfielders though, you expecting any outgoings this summer?

Centre halves, we need one to replace Loovens and another as back up.

Left back, we only have Pudil, cover in Reach, need a back up.

Winger....desperately lack pace.

Centre mid....lacking a box to box midfielder pal, Kieran Lee closest we have.

Ideally .... Morrison/Ayala

Jota or the like as a wideman/midfielder.

As for left back, Pognocoli or whatever he's called

Hopefully Bannan.....
You hope Bannan leaves or not replying to me? He's probably the best passer of a football in the league now Shelvey isn't in it...

Pocognoli be a decent signing as well, bit old though.

No transfer rumours but we've actually signed a player..

Pelle Clement, 21 year old Dutch striker at Ajax, undisclosed fee. 6 goals in 54 games for Jong Ajax - Prolific.

EDIT: Apparently he's an attacking midfielder..

Yeah I want Bannan to leave, if anyone of them was to go, he can't score or tackle and his passing is limited to the cross field raker to Wallace or Fletcher.

Pocognoli is 29, a season or two out of him would be fine.

I'd take Bannan in a heartbeat.

I take it Bannan is still a bit of a showpony who all of the opposition love but when he actually plays for you he's nowt special then?

Always thought Bannan got much higher reviews than he deserved. Whenever I see him he struggles to actually pull apart a defence.

Don't get me wrong, good player, but I'd rather have half the Brentford midfield.

£7m seems pretty steep there Walkley!

Luxury of being a club with a big budget I guess! We've only got one left back but I'm happy with a CB or a youth team player who can fill in.

Would rather we spend whatever budget we have on quality first XI players, as we can't afford to spend much on back ups.
