Been at work all day, didn't realise Greg Cunningham had resigned for you. Bollocks.
Come back for the "realistic Premier League ambition" mate. Up the city.

They've always said Aussies were a bit thick.

Wright should fit in well down there, it seems being deluded is a common trait amongst Bristolians.
Haha, you get so wound up by Bristol City. Our fans generally get on pretty well and there's a mutual respect between the two clubs.

Pipe down, we're both going to mince about in this league for a few years before getting relegated, then repeating that cycle and neither club will ever play in the Premier League in our lifetimes.

Speak for yourselves mate, we've got the backing and everything in place to get ourselves competing at the right end of this league.

Maybe when your owner dies and his son takes over he might start to plough money into Preston as well, we shall see.

Really? I'm not a person who generally gets wound up so your mistaken if you think Bristol City are going to do that to me.

Yeah they do, personally I find this friends in the North/South thing a bit weird, I couldn't give a fuck about Bristol City as I'm sure a lot of your fans couldn't give a fuck about Preston North End.

Think it stems back to when you got promoted at our place or something like that, assume you weren't there?

Everything in place bar a decent manager because you ain't going nowhere with Lee Johnson in charge that's for sure.

Maybe not, time will tell but the second Lansdown starts to believe that he won't hesitate to give him the big pay off he'll get.

Bloody hell, I can't say i'm counting down the days till our owner dies, i'm perfectly happy with our recruitment and the way we're being run at the moment. We're building a very good team here.

Spending millions isn't the be all and end all, give me stability and a sensible approach any day.

Depends what your ambition is though, you could possibly have a crack at the top six if you signed a top striker in this window but it doesn't look like you will be doing so.

I'm happy doing what we're going as well, we're spending within our means to try and be competitive at the top end. Hasn't come off yet but it's still an exciting prospect as a fan.

Our ambitions are top 6 like 75% of the division.

I'd rather us bring in a striker on loan until the end of the season, rather than panic buy in this daft window when everyone is desperate and paying well over the odds for players.

If Beckford sorts himself out, Hugill re-finds his goalscoring form or Stevie May finds his feet, we may not need one.

I'd be surprised if we didn't add a 4th player this window but not disappointed.

Probably not, and yes I'm well aware but you increase your chances of doing well in this league by spending. Money doesn't necessarily buy success but generally in football in massively helps.

Personally I think having lots of money to spend leads to lazy transfer policies.

Look at Villa, just signed a bunch of people who have done well in this league previously with absolutely zero plan in place.

Newcastle are a bit of an anomaly as they're stupidly rich and dwarf everyone else in this league. Well run, steady Brighton are still above them though.

we've spent £50 odd million and we are a mid table championship team as we speak.

To be fair the team that came down was going to struggle to stay up in this league! Investment had to made quickly, it made sense to buy proven campaigners in this league.

Agree with that, are recruitment has been sensible but also very good in the main since Grayson came in. When you look at players like Pearson, Johnson and Robinson alone that will probably be £10m plus worth of profit when we do eventually sell.

We do need a goalscorer but I don't want to see us go and blow a shit load of money on one as it's been shown before spending money doesn't always guarantee success and at times can be detrimental.

If only we could start a season well we would be right in the mix anyway even without that goalscorer.

agree. We was never going to get prem players to come and join us but we could definitely attract the top championship players. On paper we have a very good team but it takes time sometimes. With a few more additions, especially in midfield we will be ok.

Our recent matches vs QPR with televised games in bold... Most of which were crap. No idea why Sky keep showing it.

2017: Reading v QPR
2016: QPR 1-1 Reading
2016: QPR 1-1 Reading
2015: Reading 0-1 QPR
2014: QPR 1-3 Reading
2013: Reading 1-1 QPR
2013: Reading 0-0 QPR
2012: QPR 1-1 Reading
2011: Reading 0-1 QPR

2017: Reading 0 - 1 QPR. Hopefully this is the last time they bloody show it!

You don't do too badly out of it.. we've only scored 1 goal in our last 5 home games against you, all of which were on TV.

Pretty much guarantee good game, good attendances, with a couple of clubs - Leeds definately.
But always puzzled why Villa are on in that respect:P1:

16 times with the Newcastle game we have been on sky. Either way it makes for good comedy or should I say dull comedy.
