Excellent idea for a thread PaulH.

1. DK's second album Plastic Surgery Disasters absolutely pisses all over their debut Fresh Fruit.

2. The term Catchy/Pop Punk is an abomination, best left for those 12/13 year olds who don't know any better. In fact I have much more respect for a Miley Cyrus fan than a catchy punk one.

3. A number of heavy metal fans think they're rebelling against authority. No you're not, you're only listening to some idiot singing about stupid shite like goblins, fairies and demons. That's not rebellion, that's a only a big waste of your time.

4. People who claim they've listened to Metal Machine Music more than once are either liars or just plain idiots.

Queen and U2 are probably the worst two bands in all history. Especially U2.

I'm not very keen on Guns n Roses either.

Having been immersed (slight exageration) in the music tastes and range of radio station options in Norway for a week, I've begun to understand why the youth of the Scandiwegian countries got into death metal, etc. Apparently, it's also because it's dark a lot in winter, they get drunk a lot and black goes well with their skin tone..............but I think the major driver is the likes of

Ylvis were not exagerating when they produced this
