He did alright with us, including a screamer at yours a couple of seasons back if I remember, but fell out with The Football Genius™ Andy Scott and ended up out the side for long periods, and playing as a winger if and when he got the odd 20mins. Scott sent him off on loan and we never saw him again.

I only remember Holman scoring a screamer against us for you.

So Scott sent him out on loan and then let him go at the end of the season?

We've had Fitch at the club since January 2015. I think at the time Shots fans were disappointed to see him go

Didn't know that. He'll be a key player for you this season then, should keep you away from the relegation zone anyway.

Oh shit yeah . Always got those two mixed up, even when talking to them nearly every day for six months.

Pretty much, there was a school of thought that said Scott didn't even want him in the first place, but was told to take him because he was local, cheap and a mate of someone at the club. On to a loser from the start really.

Haha I didn't think he did!

I wouldn't have thought Fitchett would have been cheap to be honest, I know he was at a part-time club but he was a player in demand at the time, I wanted us to sign him. So I'm guessing that "mate" at the club had no power over how much playing time he got once he signed?

He was working for our Football in the Community lot inbetween training and lived a couple of miles up the road. I wasn't aware of any other interest in him, that's why we got him.

We've only signed two so far, but I'm confident that our core squad from last season will be OK to decent at this level

If you play anything close to the level you were at 2nd half of last season there's no way you're going back down, when you beat us in the run in it was easily the best I've seen anyone play at our ground.

Hopefully your right. That game at your place was probably the best I've seen us in over a decade. I think the maintenance of momentum is going to be vital for the pair of us

We've just announced a new bar in one of our home stands. But also a new draught lager being sold in the ground called 'My Racecourse' which is a Vier lager produced specially for he club by Carlsberg. Best of all the pies being sold at the grpund are going to be by local company 'Village Bakery'. Not bad pies at all, maybe not Kidderminster Harriers quality but definitely a huge improvement from previous seasons.

Chesterfield did that when they moved into their new Stadium, and they were great.

I wish we could do it, but we outsource our catering because it'd cost too much to get it going. As it stands, we take 'x' per head regardless of whether they buy anything.

We also have a beer, called Cheeky Imp, which goes towards the youth academy fundraising total for the Future Imps Fund.
