Kane captain - lets hope he leads by example and nets a couple.

Good news for the Dutch if Sweden and France draw with Bulgaria losing in Belarus

Gibraltar almost got a point - would that have been their first ever?

Good win for Andorra.

Drama in Sweden, what a balls up by Lloris. Massive win for the Swedes as they go above France and top Group A!

Fucking Hell. After TWELVE YEATS without a single win Andorra are 3 games unbeaten after a 1-0 win over Hungary - followed a 0-0 draw with the Faroe Islands and a win over San Marino

Well he certainly has been at international level, and below average in the Champions League.

I'll be going to the game today but I do not give Scotland much chance unfortunately, it's an average to below average Scotland team facing a below average English team. Scotland would be a decent side but for a critical deficiency at centre back, far worse strikers than Kane have exploited it.

Nevertheless, we were deeply unfortunate to lose 3-0 at Wembley despite having good chances, and England scoring with their three shots on target.

Iceland managed to beat England whilst Wales took them into the final minutes, these are not sides with a better team than Scotland so that will give us some hope.

Let's hope the warnings of England fans causing trouble come to nothing, it's embarrassing in this day and age and 40 years ago led to the cancellation of the worlds oldest international tournament.

Interestingly, I think had the election been held shortly after the game it would have more certainly changed the result in Scotland - football means a helluva lot here and that played no small part in a Tory resurgence.

What? :eyes:

Today I am watching Scotland vs England. And although I don't believe that they'll win I'll keep my fingers crossed for the "Bravehearts" (as always).
I don't know if I am able to watch the biggest match of this matchday: Germany vs San Marino. My heart still needs recovery time and this will be a "nail-biter" so I'll better stay away from this :hypo:

Won't be easy going away to Hampden but I expect us to come away with 3 points today, which I would expect will pretty much seal our qualification in top spot with Malta to come next. Going with a 3-1 win, Kane double and a Cahill header.

I'd take a 0-1 away win all day. Get the job done and take the three points home please.

Seventh of the season, yet Mignolet has only made one error this campaign. Just sayin'.. ;)

If you are happy with Mignolet that's great...just great.

Take the point, hardest game of qualifying and keeps us in a good position, close to throwing that away though. Showed heart.

NI with a good win - late winner

Could be vital for Norn Iron in the end for second spot behind Germany because Czech Republic only drawed against Norway. They already have a 4 points gap at the Czechs.

Germany had for the first time since 57 years 11 players from 11 different clubs in the team. So even an old sod like me hasn't seen this before :D . Löw is testing new players (young ones and some from the "2nd row" for the damn Confed Cup and gave the established players some well deserved rest). We saw 3 players with their first goals for Germany. Younes (Ajax), Julian Brandt (Leverkusen) and Wagner (Hoffenheim) even with a hattrick. Pure (Rhine)Gold :D
Germany now with 18 points from 6 matches and a diabolical 27-1 (+26) Goal Difference

Slovakia's win in Lithuania keeps England 2 ahead at the top, if they beat Slovenia in the next one and England beat Malta then that will set up an interesting game at Wembley.

Ireland vs Austria and Serbia vs Wales today, with Ireland and Serbia on 11 points and Austria and Wales on 7.

Arnautovic and Ilsanker are suspended for Austria, while Bale and Taylor are suspended for Wales, with Taylor being suspended for an extra match against Serbia.

As you were in the Wales/Ireland group.

Iceland up to their old tricks - scoring late to beat Croatia.

Expected Goals
Under the circumstances of the names on the injury list, a draw is a good result. Under the other circumstance that we are drawing far too many games and can't hold on to a lead right now, the draw is a bad result. Fortunate that it was draws all round today, but we are running out of games to win, and qualification is a big ask now.

Wales could have really done with the 3 points there, however the point is a decent result and keeps them in it. If Wales lose to Austria and both Serbia and Ireland win then it's all over so massive game next for them. Think Serbia will just pip Ireland to top spot in the end, quite a lot of quality in that Serbian side.

Point was a fair result in the end. Thought we played well enough in parts, Joe Allen probably MOTM for me. 4 points behind with 4 left, and Serbia and Ireland have to play each other. And whilst we have Bale back for Austria, Allen is suspended.

Being kept in for an hour yesterday was more than annoying

Big game tonight, we must win to remain in first place as I think France will beat Holland.
