He's spending time with his wife as a promise he made when she'd looked after his dying parents, when he was at Villa. Don't see the problem, bigger things in life than football, and we aren't going up or down so hardly critical he starts right away.
So it has fuck all to do with him attending the cricket. I don’t think anyone can have a go at him for keeping his promise to his wife.

Your team should have joined him instead of playing yesterday.

Most of The team that played yesterday won't be playing again this season.

I'm loving all these jokes I'm getting all day about us losing a cup game, shows how shit Wednesday's season is, which makes it fucking brilliant. Utb

Yes, obviously you wouldn't think it was funny if Wednesday lost to a non league club at home.
FFS I had Blades on Facebook on Saturday giving it the big un about "Wednesday being unable to beat an airport" strangely enough they've been very quiet since Sunday.
In all honesty come the end of the season that result could look a very good one as you can now, to coin the old phrase "concentrate on the league"
You obviously care enough to reply though, fucking brilliant UTO!

Another comprehensive defeat at a side no more than half decent, if the stats are anything go by. They won't be in a relegation battle as the bottom sides look pretty poor, but clearly Bruce has his work cut out to make them anywhere near promotion contenders again.

What's going on with Wednesday, particularly in away games? You'd expect even the bottom teams to put up more fight (Bolton's 6-0 walloping at Hull apart).

How do the Wednesday fans rate Bruce so far? Has he got you playing better, do you think you could mount a challenge next season?

Far too early to tell, squad will be vastly different, he's made us far more solid at the back but that began with Clemence/Agnew/Bullen bringing back Hutchinson and Westwood.

Think he will make a mark but next season will be too early, wants to lower the number of players we have and reduce the average age.

He talks a good game mind and very vocal on the touchline but as I said far too early to judge.

There is definitely plenty of work to do then. He made us very difficult to beat last season, but then went on to neglect our defence at the start of this season. Completely different job he has on his hands now, compared with what he had to work with at villa. He is very vocal and will say all the right things. I’ve got a feeling next season he will have you around the play off spots.

You nearly went down to the 4th division, too. Mid 70s .

I was there in 1976 when we had to beat Southend in last game of season.

Luckily we didn't have a player called Don Givens. :bg:

I was hoping we went down again to the 4th a few years back, some great trips to be done. Have to put up with old Trafford and Anfield instead though lads.

Ha , in Grenada now, rum on the party boat is the way forward

Fuck me, you get about you don't you?

How many holidays in the past 18 months is it now? About 10?

Lucky bastard. Wish I still had the freedom to do all the galavanting again.

I'd recommend Argentina, but you'd probably walk round with an England top on and get murdered.

Hope it’s not too wet for you out there mate :). Nice and sunny here, and dare I say, a touch warm.

It's not too bad in the boozer pal, rain not even been that bad if they'd have started they may of stayed out. Oh well 2 more matches yet.

Probably double that, most are only short trips though. Argentina is happening next year along with Uruguay, Chile and Peru. I don't wear England tops anywhere pal, still only 15.35 here, 6 hours on it already. Happy days
