Welcome Millwall.
I hope you've got a few quid to spend though as that final was dreadful!

Not that it's new but they really do have some morons supporting them. They'll go straight back down.

Chairman isn't short of money but not exactly a hands-on benefactor. FM would call him an underwriter. I doubt we'll splash too much cash, more likely to look for bargains as usual.

It's not a good idea to dismiss sides after watching them in a play off final when so much is at stake. I've done it before and was proven wrong. If you want to rate any side, just watch them play in the league as you'll be able to get a much better picture of their strengths and weaknesses.

Well done Millwall.

Getting through the league season which included a long hual cup run, then going through to win the playoffs - is no mean feat and a massive effort of endurance.

Pleased to see Millwall back, the more London aways the better in this flat cap wearing, whippet meddling , northern stronghold of a division.

Cracking away day, or night, as it usually is for us.

Millwall's image is much better these days. They won the family club of the year award in recent months which is testament to how they've turned it around.

Welcome, never been to the Den before but will hope to make it next season.

Great to be back. We usually take about five years, but I ain't fucking complaining.

Look forward to being back in a scrap most weeks, on and off the pitch. If we can 'do a Burton' I'll be happy.

Welcome back Jockney, you're a welcome addition to this forum.
I've been to both Dens a few times, the old one was plain mad but the newer one still gets the blood pumping. I actually enjoy the partisan atmosphere, especially in the sanitised modern game.

Cheers mate. Never saw the old Den, but obviously have heard all about how intimidating it was. Denzil is the man to talk to about those stories!

Just realised we get to play Leeds again. Fuckin' nice. Our games are always lively.

'Kinel JJH, 4,000 Millwall on the opening day? They get the whole bloody stand now mind! :eyes:
Probably be closer to 400 mate, if their past followings at AG are anything to go by.

A repeat of the last opening day game at Ashton Gate would be nice! Whatever happened to Steve Coppell, or David James for that matter!?

That day was carnage, and James was well and truly wound up by your fans that day, Coppell resigned the week after.

We'd take a bunch down there should it happen for opening day, don't think it will though. I'm sure they'll make all potentially fiery games midweek, or in the case of Leeds, a morning kick off played in another country where we have to pick up our tickets in Edinburgh or something.
