First 5 Games...
Grimsby H - Tasty one that, always a feisty contest between us two, hopefully they'll bring a few fans down...
Away at a new stadium on the first day of the season less than 100 miles away, we'll sell out the initial allocation no problems I'd have thought. Sales of this might well overtake season tickets sales (per unit)!

Been there, done that, lost 4-0.

From memory, a really snowy evening and our experienced CB and Assistant Manager at the time, Ian Pearce, made a back pass to Rob Burch, which was too wide of him or Burch slipped or something, sped up and went in after about 20 seconds.

Away to Luton first up. I don't know who thought it was a good idea for us to have Morecambe away on 30th December before a home game 2 days later on new years day.
Hope we're safe before the last month as our run in looks awful, Coventry (a), Luton (h), Wycombe (h), Notts C (a), Mansfield (h), Lincoln (a)

That Morecambe away game is ridiculous. Crawley should be laughing on New Year's Day.

Disappointed that I'm missing Luton and Stevenage at home when I'm away on holiday. It could've been two even more insignificant teams like Lincoln or Carlisle.

FGR away will be decent - chance to experience this veggie project

Our game with Newport on the 12th August has been officially reversed. We'll now start with 4 straight home games in league and cup, which is certainly a first. First away game is Port Vale at the end of August.

Tough start against Mansfield, good marker that.

Crawley Away first, hopefully keep our 14 year unbeaten opening day run going!

Crewe at Vale Park in August, Meadow Lane on New Years Day and finish at Cambridge (Promotion hopefully!)

Not bad! Il take them.
Will you be going Crawley away? I want go but it's something like 60 quid on train I don't drive one of my mates does but it isn't fair to expect him drive all the time and if he drives his mum and dad will go which means me and my other mate couldn't go with him as 5 in a car for a 3hour 30 min journey ain't good. Also I don't really like using coaches especially the new inn or crown one as some of the people on there are horrible towards me and my mate.

If you have good home form then it may mean you could be top going into the vale game.

In what way??
It's nasty and clicky on that bus. If they don't know you and you say something about a player being shite they will slate you for it but if one of there mates says it they will like there posts and stick up for them. On this Facebook forum wonder of port vale last week I said I wasn't going go Leeds away in the cup as it's a night match and we will lose and people on there flagged me off saying let the proper fans go then you can bugger off support Crewe. I've since decided to leave that group on Facebook as I've fell out and blocked so many people on there I was having arguments getting death threats all the time.

That's a bit much. Are these official supporter's coaches? If so, there must be someone to complain to? You shouldn't have to deal with that kind of shit. You're probably right to leave the FB group though.

That's not a official bus no it's a bus called new inn fun bus you will probably see a flag that they take to every game. Some of the people on the group and who go on the bus are ok though. I don't really like using official travel as you don't get chance go for a beer and for a lot of games especially the longer trips only 1 coach will go and they are always saved seats for the people who go every match.

No mate, done Crawley the last two times (one at night)! But got kids now so not allowed out as much unfortunately! First one will be Coventry as an away day I think which is literally 30 minutes away for me!

Stupidly long trip to Morecambe on the opening day which is a bit of a downer.

At home on Boxing Day though which is the best day of the season for me.

FGR and Coventry (the two away games I'd be able to go to) in consecutive away games is a bit of a shitter though.

So sorry to hear this Andy. People who don't accept that other people can have an opinion that differs from theirs are just plain bullies. I'm referring to those people on the coach, not to those on the FB page, as that's only something to be expected. In fact, I don't comment on our FB page, and afaik, neither do my mates.

Andy, dunna exaggerate mate. Bloody hell. We're all as sound as each other on the bus. We have a beer or ten and have a laugh. We all disagree at the best of times. Come on the bus and I guarantee you not a single person says anything nasty to you or your mate whilst I'm there - fact. I know them all extremely well.

If you are a Vale fan and you don't go to games because they will lose surely you don't go very often then?

What kind of fun goes off on these New Inn fun bus trips? I'd imagine playing Monopoly on a moving bus is abit of a pain so I can't imagine what happens.
