There was a statistic i saw last week about the 3 keepers who had made the most saves this season and they were alnwick at vale ripley at oldham and etheridge at walsall. You can guarantee when they do the team of the season though they pick the shef utd or bolton keeper due to them getting promoted.

Those types of statistics are always skewed though.

Chances are, keepers in the worst teams will make more saves but probably let in more goals too.

However he has made himself look like a right bit of cheese muddling up the Famous Alnwick kids!

Story of my life. :lol::lol::lol:

Knew I must have done something wrong when I saw all the notifications. In fairness I'm on my phone so I don't know who any of you support. :hb:

I'm far from biased. I'm extremely honest with our team and I'm always getting into disagreements with our fans on social media and at games because they absolutely refuse to accept any criticism from other supporters or fans alike. Every decision against us is always wrong and the whole 'the world is against us' mentality.

However, I have to say that I truly believe Jak is the best goalkeeper in this division. No bias. Some of the saves he pulls off are ridiculous at the best of times, but it's every single game as opposed to normal keepers who pull off a top drawer save or two every few games.

His point-blank save against Oldham on January 2nd was the save of the season. Unbelievable. He made two exceptional stops at AFC Wimbledon and if it wasn't for him, it would've been 6 or 7-0, rather than the 4 we kept it down to you. He made two fabulous saves at Huddersfield on Saturday. The latter seeing him claw out a fantastic header and smashing his face off the side of the post in the process. He carried on playing after a little treatment, and it was only an ankle injury that forced him off in the second half.

Far too good for this league. There's a reason he's played in the Premier League. I truly believe we will be extremely lucky to keep hold of him beyond the summer. Top half Championship minimum, possibly even higher in a year or two. He's that good.

Jak is a great shot stopper, but that's about it. A real decent goalkeeper also commands his box and can come out to claim crosses, things that Jak rarely does. His kicking isn't great either.

Vigoroux is a great shot stopper and commands his box, which makes him better than Alnwick.

I've seen both keepers and Vigs kept a clean sheet and Alnwick didn't.

and I'm not biased so case closed. Enough already Vale fans about the fecking keepers.

His distribution is suspect though as Chris Maguire demonstrated.

Hard to distribute cleanly when you're getting assaulted

I think that was a secondary matter. I think Mr Ox is referring to Vigs' charged down clearance which could have gone anywhere, but flew into the back of the net!

I think Vigs has calmed down recently on his antics and matured a bit but with volatile games against Rovers and United coming up, we could see his 'clownness' come to the fore. He is a cocky so and so at times.

What I want to know is, when we stuff 'em at the CG is it '2 in a row' or not. I've got to organise mugs, T-shirts and the like.

Cian Bolger has done incredibly well for us in a back 3 and is a real danger to the opposition in the air on set plays, as he proved at Coventry on Saturday. Definitely one for anytime goalscorer and has won me a few quid. Rosler even uses him as target man up top at the end of games sometimes.

This was when you drew. Lord knows the cringeworthy thread would explode if you ever actually managed a win.

Vigouroux has by far been the best keeper I've seen this year. MOTM both times we played them.

That is lamer than lame to be fair ID.
Why? Nobody on this forum even managed a mild hurrah at the outcome of that game. The hoo-hah of that stupid tweet has no correlation to any thread on here.

I meant that the official site's over excited tweet was lame.

I'm with you on your second point, it was a stupid nothing game that nobody lost any sleep over.
