Fylde are obviously the favourites but I think it will be Sutton United. For the interests of this thread Maidstone and Halifax have played in the league

Fylde obviously, maybe Gravesend or Eastleigh.

I would love one year for a non-bankrolled club to get promoted who haven't yet played at that level. A Bromley or a Boreham Wood. Stevenage and Burton probably being the only ones to have done this

I'd love to see us in the league, but I think we're a good couple of years from being able to sustain ourselves as a play-off chasing club. Fortunately it seems that a lot of the FA Cup money is being invested in infrastructure (we've installed new floodlights and turnstiles, installed a scoreboard and doing a significant refurbishment of the changing rooms) rather than going SOB.

Woking are the traditional non league club. Excellent setup there as well. Surprised you never came up. Good luck to you. Lovely ground

The Fylde bubble will burst before they get up, my money would be on Bromley, as hopefully it would mean we're also up (of all non-league sides we're most similar in infrastructure and we were close on the pitch last season)

When they tell Sky Sports they can't have access on a Friday to set their cameras up and can't broadcast highlights of their games, for a start.

And they'd probably have fewer home fans than away!

A few of them have dropped out again, but there's been loads of non-bankrolled teams to do it over the last 25 years or so.

I’m struggling to breathe wondering if Lance Stoe classes us in the same boat as Maidstone or Halifax or if, dare I imagine, he’s forgotten us? :pond::ohm:

Not in the same way as a Flyde or Billericay. They've always been smart with how they generate money, from allowing mobile phone towers to be built in the ground, linking up with local higher education facilities and allowing one of the biggest and wealthiest clubs in the country to use their facilities, they've always proved adept at getting extra cash in that doesn't rely on going into unsustainable debt or on the fickle nature of public support

They've also got synthetic pitches they rent out for a decent few bob.

For the interest of the missinformed, Halifax are NOT a new club, they are a reformed one - a distinction made and acknowledged by the FA at the time. Thus we were exempt from the moratorium applied to NEW clubs and were not required to defer entry into the FA Trophy and the FA Cup for 2 and 3 years respectively. We thus have a continuous and unbroken history since 1911.

This is the last time I will explain this and will certainly not be engaging in any further discussions with Tin Potters who appear to believe they have authority to overturn a judgement made by the supreme national football executive.

That is all. :bdick::bdick::bdick:

And Aldershot.

We've already been promoted to (and relegated from) the FL as Aldershot Town FC, so we count as an ex-league club both ways.
