Right, I don't want to hear any City fans come on here whining about how we'll easily beat you. However bad you think you are, we are worse. Personally I think both of us will be occupying the final two relegation places so let's just agree that we're both as bad as each other.

I'd predict a 0-1 Bristol City win with Tammy bagging the winner off the bench, but to avoid the cries of how wrong I am from you lot I'll just predict 0-0. A result which does absolutely nothing for either team and cements us both to League One doom when Wolves pick up their guaranteed three points against Rotherham.

Safe journey to the Ciderheads making the long trip, get yourself to Wigan Central opposite North Western station pre and post match for your alcoholic refreshment of choice.

*yawn*

My team would be:

Giefer
Wright Flint Magnusson
Cotterill Brownhill Smith O'Dowda
Tomlin
Djuric Taylor
What I think Johnson's pre match tombola draw result will be:

Fielding
Vyner Flint Wright Bryan
Smith, Pack
Cotterill, Tomlin, Reid
Wilbraham
1-0 Wigan, late Jacobs winner.

940 away fans.

Is Smith suspended for this? Thought I caught something over the radio after the game about it but could have been wrong.

My team would be

.................................. Fielding
................Wright...........Flint.......Magnusson
....Vyner...........................................................O'Dowda
...................Hegeler.....Pack......Brownhill
..............................Djuric......Taylor

2 nil Wigan.
I agree with Hodge's team with Tammy on the bench. No doubt the hopeless one will probably start him at centre half or goalkeeper. Useless fuck! :ffs:

We could lose this one 3-0 and that still wouldn't be enough to see the little one sacked. It's a relegation 6 pointer but I won't even be listening to it on the radio. Will be focusing on the England Scotland rugby game instead.

We don't score at home. Standard home game. 0-0 or 0-1.

If we just went for it at home and scored a few more then given our away form and defensive record we'd pull clear of the bottom 3, however Joyce is too negative so we don't win at home.

Bit harsh that, to blame him for it, it was the referee at error for awarding that corner.

We're down now and from what I saw from Bristol City we'll be playing each other again next season.

First half we were ok and were well on top, three very good saves from Citys keeper kept it level at half time.
Second half Joyce changes tactics and we're dropping back defensively. Then takes off our best two attacking players in Gilbey and Obertan and second half we were woeful and never looked like having a chance never mind scoring.

Our keepers not made a save and I've seen that Bristol Citys successful passes were just 57% and they've somehow got 3 points to show for it. Both sides are fucked.

Who am I blaming?

Yep, apparently it was awful, massive result for us though and it needs to be a lift.

We're lucky there are so many shit teams at the bottom of this division for us to even still be in contention.

Horrendous game, 0-0 would've been fair, both teams most likely going down but I'll enjoy the win whilst it lasts.

Remember when I told you lot however bad you thought you were, we were worse. Well now do you believe me? One saving grace, I put £10 on Bristol in play with about 20 minutes left to soften the pain. They made attacking subs, went all out for the win and deserved their goal. They'd missed a couple of sitters before finally scoring, it was only a matter of time.

We were both shite mate. You should've been winning at half time. See you next season.

We both were but you wanted it more. Even in the first half you had the better chances not us, Abraham missed a one on one and you should have had a penalty right on half time. All we did was hit the top of the bar from 20 yards.

Saw the result yesterday and was hoping for a few positives. It sounds like it was 2 shite teams going at it so, apart from the 3 points, bugger all has changed.
By the way, if you get a chance to go to Berlin and catch a Hertha game at the Olympiastadion, you have to do it. Even though BvB lost, the stadium is simply awesome, bloody good side as well are Hertha. 75,000 crowd and an unbelievable 14,000 away supporters. German football is brilliant, dirt cheap as well in comparison to our games. Buy a match ticket (mine cost €18) and you get free travel on match day across the whole of Berlin.
I thoroughly recommend it.

Me and a mate have planned one day to do a "european tour" so to speak and take in a game in a different country every day or two days for a week or two. Logistically difficult and expensive but with their being football on pretty much every day nowadays with CL and EL in midweek it's possible and a chance to explore some new countries. Berlin would definitely be on the list. Closest I've ever been to Germany is that German market the Brummies put on at Christmas.

I was on holiday in Berlin with the family when the stadium opened and went with my dad to the stadiums first game, a friendly against Besiktas.

If you only plan to do one Bundesliga ground, it would have to be the Westfalen stadion in Dortmund, it's the best ground in Europe IMHO but I am rather biased.
Hamburg has a game every weekend as either Hamburg SV or St Pauli are at home. St pauli is a different experience I would say but it's right on the Rheiperbahn which is' entertaining' and as Hamburg is in the far North, it might be easier to move on from there. Don't bother with the pig farmers in Munchen, although cheaper, it's much like an English game plus they're loathed by everyone else in Germany.

Can vouch for this, went to Dortmund for the weekend a couple of weeks back, Dortmund vs Wolfsburg, spent the whole weekend in Dortmund, did the stadium tour, the museum etc etc, quality weekend with a shitload of ale!!

Awesome Innit?
I, along with a few mates, am lucky enough to have met some BvB fans, from Bremen, at the WC in 2006 and we are in regular touch, they're real friends now and come over to City sometimes. We can pretty much go whenever we want and it's the only way I would have got to go the the Bernabau and other incredible stadiums. I love how they make it a 'whole day' thing rather than just the match and the fan walks are an incredible sight! If you went into the fans bar at the WFS, Strobels, you've had a serious fan experience!
BvB v Shit 04 is really something else. I did a ground tour and they've even got their own prison FFS!
They've got it right IMHO and we could learn a lot from the Germans.

Was gutted Hertha Berlin weren't at home when I was over a few years back. Best I got was a view from outside the stadium with no bugger around.

Only European ground I've been in is Club Brugge when we played there in the Europa League. No transport on the way back there has to walk about 2 miles back to the city centre!

Thanks for the advice! We made up a list but off the top of my head these were the clubs/countries we wanted to go to originally for various reasons:

FC Copenhagen - Denmark
Austria Vienna or Rapid Vienna and Red Bull Salzburg - Austria
Zulte Waregem - Belgium
AIK - Sweden
Lyon - France
Inter/AC and Juventus - Italy
Benfica/Sporting Lisbon - Portugal
Ajax - Holland
One or two clubs in Germany
One or two clubs in Spain

Like I said there's an absolute ton of logistical/planning issues that go into it with the travel/accommodation/match tickets/fixtures etc, but if we ever pulled it off it'd be a brilliant trip. Not a patch on Oldham at home next season though! :D

I've been to Red Bull Salzburg, company thing, that was good but I've also done a few in Holland. Apart from the 'Amsterdam' thing, I wouldn't bother with Ajax. Feyenoord is a whole different ball game, another one I would recommend but it's not Amsterdam. At City, we have a tie up with Tillburg and that's a good one.
Maybe add a game in Switzerland? They do the 'ultra' thing without the violence, great atmosphere at F.C Basel but it's a very expensive country.
If I can help, even if it's just helping with tickets, I will happily do my best.

Really appreciate the offer mate. To be fair Ajax is my friends' pick, I've been to Amsterdam before (not seen a game though) but he hasn't so I'm happy to go again. :D I forgot about Prague as well, that was on the list, it's dirt cheap there and you can get a straight train connection from Berlin and Vienna.

Sounds good mate, I'd love to do that trip and get a real sample of proper European football. I'd probably try and get to a CL night as well if I could get tickets, imagine that would be crazy at somewhere like Lyon.

Definitely do the San Siro in Italy, looks an incredible ground!

Yeah we managed to get a few beers in Strobels, awesome place, also had some food in there the following day, it's a completely different place on non-match days, as I'm sure you know. Found some absolutely great bars in the town, quite "German" but VERY welcoming, and food to die for.

We do a different stadium every year, Barca-Real-Dortmund, looking at possibly the San Siro next year. One thing I'd say about Dortmund, more than any other place I've visited in my life, every fucker has some official merch on at all times, even down to like the street sweepers will have a BvB hat on, office workers will have a BvB tie on etc etc its mental, the retail side of the club must be worth a fortune!!!

Pointless fact of the day, when we were in the Europa League we got Lyon in the dress rehearsal draw with Austria Vienna and St Gallen. Would have much preferred that group than what we got, although Brugge was a incredible few days. But yeah heard great things about Lyon, they try and hide it from you but Paris is actually an expensive dump.
