The biggest issue Klopp needs to sort out is the set piece defence. Its frankly fucking abysmal. There is no excuse for us being this shit continually, with no apparent improvement since he took over 12 months ago.

Liverpool should have been comfortable, but were hanging on in the end. But it's always difficult once HRK gets on the pitch.

I'll take that but it should've been 5 - 1 with the chances created and it did get a bit nippy in the end without being too dangerous, but 3 points is all that matters.

Anyway, shame we didn't go top but we're joint with some very winnable games coming up. Results have certainly gone our way today with Spurs and Arsenal drawing and Everton dropping a bollock like we did against Burnley.

Over 2 points a game on average. I'd have certainly taken that after our opening games looking at them.

Should be top of the league. Seems like nobody, not even us, picked up on their goal being offside but it very much is. Dawson stands right in front of Karius, making him unable to close down the shot.

Anyway, a win is a win and against Pulis it was always going to be a scare. Refreshing to play a team trying to attack a bit, though.

Yep well in the hunt despite not playing amazingly the last three games (though we were excellent in long spells today), and as Pags says over 2 points averaging per game just now which is great. Can enjoy the weekend fully now.

Could've been more, some of our play first half and majority of 2nd half was irresistible. Improvement in a match that would usually trip us up again though.

Joint top scorers in the league (an impressive 20 goals in 9 games despite four of those games being against Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and United), and despite no recognised striker starting regularly. Goes to show that Klopp is building a team in which working as a team is the most important aspect. Sturridge must be worried about his Liverpool future looking at the stats.

Very impressive performance in stages. I feel once the onus to score has been done then we thrive and create a lot more as teams won't sit back as much. It's still a tad worrying that we didn't do too much until the goal and that'll need to be addressed as it seems we have no plan B, but despite a close scoreline the performance was good.

I'm a little worried for Sturridge as he's struggling to get into the team and he's still our best striker but he doesn't fit in with the formation as well as what Firmino does, however, if he moves on and the goals dry up then we don't really have anyone to fall back on to regularly hit the net (assuming Coutinho doesn't carry on his form in front of goal).

Overall very pleased but there's still a few issues with the defence and set pieces. 3/1 to finish outside the top 4, might be worth a bet for the pessimists in Liverpool.

I get that concern, but equally I'm unsure if he'd regularly hit the net anyway should we have to fall back on him. Or no more so than the likes of Origi or even Ings. Perhaps it's a lack of game time, but Sturridge doesn't appear to be the player he was to me and I'm not confident he could be relied on should we use him and revert to a system that favours the primary source of goals coming from a single individual.

But I see where you're coming from, as I indicated earlier I can't see him hanging around if things continue like this. His ego won't allow him to be a bit part player in the long run.
