Well, that looked simple enough.

Liverpool looked poor, having to shoot speculatively from distance to register some shots.

That's a nice five point gap over Liverpool now, excellent.

Spurs are one point behind Liverpool with a game in hand now and Chelsea are four points behind but Liverpool still have to go to Stamford Bridge in May. Very interesting. Klopp better hope he manages to stay in the top four because G-Dragon wants him to be sacked if they miss out.

And you were doing so well.

Two points, my mistake.

They should beat Bournemouth tomorrow and go ahead of you. They've got Chelsea and City to play but besides those two games they've got an easy run-in.

Manchester United's centre-backs have scored more goals (2) against David De Gea than Liverpool's, Manchester City's, Tottenham's and Chelsea's forwards combined (1) this season

I always knew he was shit. Can't even save shots from his own team mates.

Yeah, and Salah scored every shot on target he had against De Gea today! No clue why we aren't playing Romero.

That's the second time I've seen you claim that. Yet I read somewhere that since our loss to Spurs in October only two teams have conceded less goals, one of who was the team we have just lost to. Perhaps a little more research is in order?

Burnley goal suffered: 26 (7° in PL)
Chelsea goal suffered: 27
Tottenham 24
Man Utd 23
Man City 20

Liverpool: 34

i think that you must respect the ideas of others

Like I said (which presumably you deliberately ignored), since October when we lost to Spurs only two teams have conceded less in the league

Besides, as I've already explained to you, this is what goal difference is about. I assume you understand the concept of goal difference? We score far more than any other team bar City which offsets goals conceded. As a result, our goal difference is better than every team in the league bar City and United. And even United, who thanks to Mourinho are one of the most defensive teams in the league, have only a +1 goal difference over us.

In short, you need to look at the bigger picture rather than looking at the league table and the goals we have conceded since August.

One of the main questions coming out of what I saw of the game yesterday:

Did Liverpool actually ever have a shot on goal that wasn't a pea roller from about 30 yards?

I don't watch Liverpool every week by any stretch but I hear the hype from their fans, the TV, radio etc and then you actually watch them against United who are supposed to be awful according to TV, radio etc. You see them doing nothing and the table flashes up at the end and their 5 points behind United.

You're absolutely right. I think we need to take a single game against an overly defensive team and place more importance on it than the other 29 games where we scored 67 goals.

United can't be that defensive if they're 5 points ahead of you and still in the mix for another trophy (FA Cup- lets face it neither United or Liverpool will be getting the European cup this season)

I'm aware you've scored loads of goals, you're obviously a good top 4 team but all you hear is how wonderful Liverpool are, it's been the same my whole life. And yet they rarely come up with anything sustained. They're this great team but they go to play their biggest match of the season and they're 2-0 down inside 25 minutes and never tested the opposition keeper in 90 minutes. Something tellsme the media might be slightly overrated them as always.

Really? I think all that has been said of Liverpool this season is that they're up there with City in terms of entertainment. Which is hardly unreasonable.

Mourinho managing to do what he does best doesn't equate to the opposition being poor and/or overhyped. If it did, anyone could do it, but when it comes to this specific type of match, he's the best there is.

I've heard a bit more than that, a lot have said your a much better side than United which from an outisder looking in doesn't strike me as true.

I don't watch all the games but United beat some of the lesser sides by 3's or 4's- they can't be that defensive against those sides. They had a 3-2 at Palace less than a week ago 2-0 down and comeback, that's not really some "1-0 to the United" type team.

Liverpool are a good side, Klopp has improved them because when I watch them there's definitley a team there that has changed its structure and way it plays which means the manager has a plan and the players buy into it. I'm not sure it's gone much further than that though.

And there was me thinking you were a United fan for the past 5 years, yet you're an outsider really.
