Phealeh- Within the Emptiness is one of mine. Whenever we're chilling or need to slow things down a bit this comes out. Thoughtful and beautiful music. Won't stand much of a chance against the white stripes I guess.

Elephant is probably the band's 4th best album however it was the first of theirs I had bought and listened to. 7 Nation Army propelled them in to the spotlight and opened the door for me.

I love the White Stripes. So rough and raw but so good. I can't believe I missed them off my list completely and although Elephant wouldn't have made mine anyway, it's a great album and gets my vote.

Will be very surprised if Elephant beats Lateralus, which is a musical masterpiece, one of those which take the artist five years at the least to complete. Not saying Elephant isn't a good album but it isn't even the Stripes' best album.

I got your back on tool, although those types of albums will never win on this forum, even though as you say, they're masterpieces!

Yeah mate I know, but I thought everyone who's into good music appreciates what a great record Lateralus is, even though they might not like metal /alt metal/prog rock. Looks like I'm mistaken.

Still, tbh, I didn't like what I heard when I heard Tool for the first time. It was only with time and repeated spins that I got it. And the same applies for all non commercial music I guess. That's why radio music is shit, it needs to make an instant mark on the listener.

Never listened to Lateralus, struggled to get into Tool from the few tracks i've heard and have never listened to any of their albums in full.

Will give it a listen, along with a few other albums in these polls that have bypassed me.

I bloody love White Stripes though.
