having seen the highlights on WTV i'm not sure that was a penalty - Diarra missed the ball - but at most grazed the strikers arm - who then did the usual cheating move of grabbing his face and rolling around to con the penalty - but hey ho... the 12 game run continues... should have won though i think

Yes it was soft. Diarra clearly didn't catch Ugwu in the face despite his simulation. It was very clumsy from the defender though, who had a poor game. The referee was also dire for both sides. It's about time we got some luck.

You're a tiny village when you're being defensive, but have a huge catchment area when you're boasting about your potential. Make your mind up, FGR fans!
The current FGR home in the hamlet of Forest Green, Nailsworth does have a small catchment area.
Nailsworth is in the middle of nowhere and Forest Green is right on the edge of it.
The new proposed site, five miles away and near the M5, does have a vastly bigger catchment area . That is where I think you are getting confused.

This is going to sound absurd but he's scoring too many!!

Looked at the programme yesterday and I think that is twelve starts sixteen goals!

And when I say he's scoring too many, come January with just four months of a contract left, which initself obviously heavily dilutes his worth and my fear is that there is, will be, too many clubs watching him and wanting to sign him, and we simply couldn't afford to turn down 'decent' money just to keep someone, anyone for that period. Emotionally yes of course keep him, but commercially and I hate to say this it would just be madness and JP is not daft that's for sure
He should've had another at Burgess Hill as Modeste decided to smash it in when it was on the line anyway, which would've made it 10 in 4. Madness

TITLE ROMP GATHERING UNSTOPPABLE MOMENTUM.

Easy win. 4 points clear.

As soon as Coops was appointed bang went everyone else's chance. Top manager, top squad, top of the league.

Moneybags Lincoln are going to need to splash out even more to keep it interesting.

Why we weren't bad, we certainly weren't good...we were just kind of meh. I never really thought we would get anything out of the game.

Our midfield are being outclassed pretty much every game and look majorly out of their depth. Also we still continue this constant hoof ball every game to our 5 foot nothing midgets upfront :ffs:

Thank god we had a decent start to the season or we would be in real trouble right about now. Heck the only thing currently saving us is the 6 teams below are even shitter than us

Im not expecting to get anything against Sutton or Macclesfield....starting to worry where the next point will come from to be honest

A solid result for us after letting Barrow beat us last week.

North Ferriby Tuesday should see a demolition job, but with the new manager settling in who knows. Fortunately Hughes and Norwood are back just at the right time as we play Dover next weekend, with FGR looming.

Interestingly I noticed they've managed to avoid playing most of the top 8 so far, so if surprised if the top 5-8 teams didn't tighten up even more.

Stroud? Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't that a sparsely populated area where people largely don't really care for football?

Oh Chris please be careful with your bragging.
Please don't pox it up for us.
FGR were in similar position same time last season and we did not get promoted.
The truth is (the same as last season) FGR have not yet played a main potential promotion rival.
(Dover might disagree and they beat us. )
November is the make or break month for FGR when we play all those near top of table.
Then we can start hopefully to get a bit more confident of playing in Football League.
I do agree with you that I think that FGR have possibly the best squad in Conference and a good manager.

At least people can walk to the stadium from Nailsworth. The new site only looks accessible by car, with no local residential area at all.

As well as having the right squad and best manager sometimes you need that little bit of luck on and off the field, playing teams at the right time is a concept that i always think about but never gets mentioned. Some teams just get lucky and play opponents who have an injury crisis or who are fatigued after a cup match.

Also you dont wanna play a promoted team before october as they always seem to be flying early season but fade after.

Pundits say luck evens itself out but does it buggery i think one season we played three different teams with managers in their first game and lost the lot, if we had played them all a week earlier we may have picked up 9 points.

Fairy low population, but definitely a football area is Stroud. Has one of the biggest amature league set-ups in the country in the 'Stroud league.'

Don't believe that Stroud follows Gloucester in being eggchasing in preference it certainly is not.

The Stroud area does care about football, and is one of the main reasons FGR get good home crowds even in such an inaccessible location.

If you are talking about us and not NF, of the top of my head, we have played FGR, D&R,Lincoln, Barrow, & Aldershot I think, which is most of them, and of the teams immediately below us add to that list, Gateshead, Eastleigh, BW and Chester.

If however you refer to NF, wouldnt have a clue :bg:

No insult intended, as though we may flirt with 4th or 5th (and that will be determined largely by what happens to Miller after Xmas) we are not title contenders, but as allude, with your squad and the quality in your squad, injuries and suspensions, will not mean, nor should it matter that much.

Confidence breeds success mate.

2 big diffences to last year.

1. We got a top class manager
2. Cheltenham aren't here

Plus we don't have to play you or Ricky Miller every week.

you've played us - and like it or not we'll be up there at the end of the season aswell... Oh and you didn't manage to win the game either despite being at home ;)

Barrow fans - Been meaning to ask, how has Lindon Meikle been getting on? Not heard much about him?

Sorry I forgot the Barrow game and the way your team are performing it will be no surprise if they are in the promotion mix at end of season.
But you've reminded us (especially Chris) that FGR have only secured one point out of 6 against current promotion rivals.
But if FGR are 7 points ahead near end of season with only 2 games to play, I will be just as daft as Chris in my celebrations.

the starting 11 are playing that well that he's not getting much game time - but he does look dangerous running at tiring defenders when he does get on
