Dembele's hat-trick goal was a fantastic team goal. Rabona in the build up and a backheel for the assist.

Celtic would probably have still won but the game turned with three decisions against Saints...two penalty shouts for them which were ignored and penalty given against them, one of the most ridiculous decisions I've seen in a long, long time....ball hit the defenders thigh and deflected against his elbow, plus given the position of the ref who could NOT have possibly have seen that so he guessed, fucking guessed.

Very strange, a lot of the papers are taking it up but there seems to be a lot of confusion whether he has or not.

It sounds like he's been ousted and it's been made to look as if he was the one who fell on his sword.

Celtic with another easy 6 nil win in the cup.

I don't think any incumbent manager will last - or want to last - too long under this regime.

Well, a 2-1 win in the cup against Morton doesn't inspire me in the slightest. We didn't actually scrape through but there were a couple of harrowing moment near the end of the match when Morton, if their finishing had been more composed, could have snatched a draw.b Rangers play for the vast majority of the match was too laboured and does absolutely nothing to excite the fans. Okay, a win's a win but I've got to the stage where I fear the worst every game we play. A home game against Dunfermline or Hamilton awaits but I wouldn't be too confident about beating either.

Seems to be quite a lot of support for the board in that Facebook link (of course it might be moderated that way!)

I guess its how realistic are the Rangers fans and board - they will naturally want to compete with Celtic but its going to take time which maybe isn't going to be a popular thing to say!

Sure King said in the statement that he wanted Rangers to challenging Celtic for the Premiership title within two years of returning. That is NOT going to happen. I have heard numerous Rangers supporters on forums and phone ins etc and they all accept and realise that it is NOT going to happen. The only player to have come through their academy and seriously challenge for a first team place on a regular basis is Barry McKay. I know very little about the under 20's but I do know we have quite a few youngsters out on loan at various clubs in Scotland. We shall have to wait until we have a permanent manager in place and see what (if any) kind of cash for (better) players is made available. To a man, the Rangers support don't want the club to go back to spending outwith its means and I back that 100% but to get, hopefully, a top class manager in some form of financial assurances will have to be given as an incentive/enticement. Can't see much of a change for a few years yet.

I haven't....thought he was just...........'different'.
Speaking as fellow Scotsmen, what you think of Jim White and his dulcet tones these days - a lot different from when he was on Scotsport!

Rangers travel up to Dens Park today to face Dundee in what is a vital game for the Gers in as much as keeping in touch with Aberdeen (who are away to Kilmarnock in a 1pm ko & I fully expect them to breeze it) for 2nd place. After the departure of Warburton & Weir with a win against Morton last Sunday, hopefully the momentum will continue. I wonder if our Liverpool/Dundee whisky drinking Salty wil be tuned in for the 3.15pm ko on Sky. I certainly will.

3.15pm will be 4.15pm MET. So maybe I'll take a short look (first 15mins) too because it's half time at Gladbach vs Leipzig then. I'm sure I'll find a stream of this important match in Kodi, too.

Just awake mate hehe. Heading out to my sister's at 5 anyway so won't get to see the rest of the game. Going well for the Dees so far though, 2 nil up at half time. :woo:

We got one back but the input was nowhere near good enough. Great performance by Dundee who looked more up for the game and had a greater desire. Rangers are shambolic at the moment with too many passengers. No complaints about the result. Only good thing for me was a had a decent bet on over 2.5 goals....so well done to all the scorers.....:bg:

Aye it's a much needed win for Dundee as it's been a while. For Rangers I think they just need the season to finish now and start afresh next year.

Always interesting how frequently, and erroneously, Scottish football is compared to south of the border.

Thankfully, we actually had a game between two sides to make the comparison - The New Saints, runaway domestic champions of the League of Wales, a full time team with an ambitious chairman who compares them to a League 1 English side and aims to get into the Europa League group stages.

Hammered 4-1 by a side adrift at the bottom of the Scottish Championship, who are quite certainly having their worst season in their 140 year history.

Quite funny, they were an absolute gang. Slim hope this results propels us to maybe second bottom eventually and the relative safety of a playoff?

TNS are in no way League 1 standard. They are about top-half National League North standard and the rest of the League of Wales is Ryman/Southern/Northern Premier League standard.
Seeing that St Mirren are about National League Premier standard, it's no surprise that they beat TNS.

I do love the bold statement though, how many times have you seen St. Mirren play?
