13/14 Sturridge was better than Lukaku has ever been, but the constant injuries have meant he hasn't come close to topping that. As opposed to Lukaku who is getting better every season and is arguably at his peak right now. Therefore, I've voted Lukaku but it's not as black and white as "all day long". Liverpool should be throwing money at their inner city rivals to get Lukaku to do a Matty Taylor, in my opinion.

Premier League fans.

Bristol Rovers' double promotion topscorer who signed for Bristol City on deadline day.
Apologies for being in the top flight of English football for more seasons than any other club.

114 seasons wow just wow

I like Sturridge but as SOC says his constant injuries have limited his playing. At the moment got to be Lukaku for me.

I don't think Sturridge peaked at 25. He's proven himself to be top class when he's on form, he's just working with a manager that doesn't suit him. I don't think you could say the same about Lukaku, whether he's scored a lot of goals against Bournemouth or not.

Both are quality, but Sturridge is far more clinical in front of goal.

I wonder if we'll get these comparisons when Lukaku signs for Chelsea next season?

Sturridge is frustrating. As troopz would say...he is a dinosaur. Extinct. HE IS FINISHED!

Really don't think there's any competition.
I would almost go as far as saying that an average Lukaku is still better than a fully fit Sturridge

Good point. Albeit one with no evidence to back it up.

Just my opinion, marra.
The same way that my opinion of Sturridge is that he's a complete sick note

Sturridge being a sick note isn't so much an opinion as the reality. But it's interesting that his Liverpool and England goals per game stats match that of Lukaku's Everton and Belgium stats despite that. Hence my comment about there being no evidence to back your opinion up.

That's fair enough. (Much better record than I thought for DS tbh)
I still stand by the opinion stated previously and this goes from what I've seen of each player (both live and on TV)
Lukaku absolutely destroys us every time he plays us...(admittedly so do most strikers [emoji23])

Lukaku didn't score in Everton's final 10 games of the last two seasons. He's doing well at the moment, which means he's almost inevitably due one of his regular dry spells. Although if he has his eyes on a summer move, perhaps he'll continue to make the effort to keep himself in the shop window.
