After beating Watford 1:0 there are only 3 games left to play for Liverpool against Southampton, West ham and Boro. Both drawchester clubs are currently behind the Reds, with one game in hand. But with our newfound inability to score many goals, it could all come down to goal difference. So who do you think will finish third?

I don't know, could be the Reds or City or ManU. Even Arsenal with 2 games in hand could make it. It's the PL nearly everything is possible except that Everton will be placed before the Reds at the end of the season. They'll be playing 2nd fiddle in Liverpool, as usual. :D

btw: Nuremberg? Shitty season for 1.FC Nürnberg in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Southampton is a bogey team so Liverpool have to be at their best to beat them. I don't know how West Ham 's form is at this moment, particularly at home, but we seem to struggle against them too. It's far from certain that this is done and dusted yet. Need at least 4 points from those two games and hope Boro are relegated by the final game to seal it.

typical answer from our resident troll. Can't accept it that Everton is again behind Liverpool and therefore has to insult the new member Seb (Salty and me we can live with your insults because we know that you're a troll)

I'm not talking to someone who supports a football club solely because Kevin Keegan was on a German shampoo advert.

Keegan made a shampoo advert? Do you have a link? Up until now I only knew the advert Uwe Seeler made for an aftershave.
johnny, please remove the like that you gave my last post. I am feeling unwell about it. Thanks in advance..

Well johnnytodd, i started supporting Liverpool 09/10 when I was 7 years old, as we could watch the premier league in TV at that time. I always thought the Bundesliga was boring and had a bad mentality, and i didn't like Nuremberg or Fürth either, my local teams. And after I watched the Merseyside derby, i started being interested in the PL and knew that I could identify myself with Liverpool football Club.

Liverpool should finish third, they have the easiest run in by far. I know they struggle against the "lesser sides", which is the only real hope for the teams chasing them, but it would be an extreme case of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory if they managed to fuck this one up.

Something you know we are very good at doing these last several years.

Haven't scored in our 3 matches against Southampton this season, getting 3 points on Sunday against them will not be easy, however if they want to be known as Champions League players rather than eternal Europa League players, they need to get the job done. Whether they can do this, we have to see.

You are right but I think, ultimately, you will get the job done. How much that will change for whichever Manchester club were to miss out is debatable because they still have two big attraction managers and massive amounts of money to lure players that might otherwise demand Champions League football.

A top four place would obviously be massive for Liverpool, though, in terms of signing a higher caliber of player and returning some of the former glory if Klopp can build on it.

Aye I said that before you came back, if they don't get CL football this year then it's going to be at least another two years before the side can kick on which is why it's imperative they do it this time around. It's different with Man Utd when they miss out as they can still attract the players and have the dough to do it, but Liverpool can't do it that way.

It is in our hands and if we get 7 points from 9 I think they'll do it; but tbh it should've been put to bed ages ago as it is, there has once again been too many dropped points where there shouldn't have been; but they never do it the easy way.

We've basically rolled over for every top 6 side in the league this season. Liverpool at St. Mary's was no exception, we only got a point because they missed two sitters. I expect a fairly easy home win on Sunday and for once, losing to Liverpool won't be as bitter to take as it usually is because we'd of won the two more important fixtures out of the 4 against them this season.

Interesting statistic, but I think 4th is the most realistic. As I said, we seem to have some kind of goal drought at the moment and with City banging in goals lately, I'm pretty sure we'll sadly have a worse gd at the end of the season. I don't believe Drawchester can overtake us, though. They still have to play both Arsenal and Tottenham away from home and with Arsenal having one game in hand and the 'easier' run-in, they should be able to finish above United in fifth place.

Drawchester.

Not heard that one before, Seb.

How did you come up with that?

Don't worry, Loserpool will drop enough points in their remaining fixtures to ensure Winchester United finish in the Champions League spots. Feel free to use either of those Steven, I spent most of last week coming up with them. I thought about copyrighting the quips, but I think speech should be free.

And if we don't finish in the top four or win the Europa League, next seasons premier European competition will be known as the Chumpions League, anyway.

It is depressingly accurate, I'll give you that.

Hopefully we'll get an away goal draw in Spain and then manage a goalless draw at home to get to the Europa League final and then keep playing until Ajax/Lyon miss a penalty in sudden death.

Hope your iffy defense is ready for the might of Iago Aspas ;)
