Looking at the table there is so many things that could be flipped on Saturday.
What if these were the scores (no disrespect to the teams on the wrong end, purely to create a what if scenario)

Blackpool 1-1 Leyton Orient
Colchester 1-0 Yeovil
Crawley 0-3 Mansfield
Crewe 2-1 Barnet
Exeter 1-0 Carlise
Grimsby 1-1 Plymouth
Hartlepool 1-0 Doncaster
Luton 2-0 Morcambe
Newport 1-1 Notts County
Portsmouth 2-1 Cheltenham
Stevenage 2-2 Accrington
Wycombe 2-1 Cambridge

Not sure if could get any closer, thankfully Notts can't go any further down even if we lose.

Us only picking up 1 point at home to Exter, Luton and Portsmouth is ultimately what's cost us.

And it was so predictable we'd only pick up 1 or 2 points too! :ffs:

Yep with Portsmouth's form and a home banker, one of ourselves or Doncaster really do have to win. The Pools vs Donny tie is all levels of emotional complexities. I want to win the league but I want Pools to stay up. But if we don't win then I'd rather Donny won than Portsmouth meaning Pools would go down.

And then the playoffs which with Blackpool playing Orient I think there is only one place up for grabs. With Colchester looking faves to win at home vs Yeovil, it's down to Carlisle and lets face it no one knows what they're gonna do. Or the side Exeter are going to put out.

When we were guaranteed playoffs last year I think we ended up making about 6 changes for the last game vs Hartlepool..

We are so inconsistant it could be any result but if Plymouth turn up to win, they will win comfortably whichever Grimsby side turn up.

Our season ended months ago and even though the players are playing for a contract you wouldn't know it.

It's a hard one, i'd much prefer Donny to lose so Hartlepool stop up, reminds me of Oxford vs Leyton Orient a few seasons ago also... (well about 5 or 6).

From our perspective, to still be in the play-off frame with 1 game to go is a decent effort, but we're just short this year and I don't think it would have done us any favours.

Internally, we all know what our ambition will be next season, some decent signings and a good season next year on the cards :)

To be honest, I'm most worried about the Stevenage v Accrington game. The optimist says that Stevenage are in terrible form and Accrington have been impressive for ages, the pessimist says that Accrington have nothing to play for and Stevenage know they need to win. Think we'll most likely miss out by a point to Stevenage.

The final day excitement is building..........
No, not who will be the Champions and not the 7 teams battling it out for 2 play off spots, I mean Grimsby v Accrington in the battle for 13th place it's just so tense. :D

Having had three last day survival fights during our spell in League One it'll be quite nice to chill in the away end at Newport on Saturday and watch the other team go through it! I'd back us to go there and win to give Hartlepool a chance, too.

Staying over because of the stupid kick off time, mind, so be quite happy for Newport to do it and then everyone can get smashed afterwards.

I've been confidently predicting 69 points for us for a couple of months now - certainly 66 points with one to play. We didn't get there quite as I anticipated but I guess it's been good to be in the mix even though it feels strangely flat and has done for a few weeks.

I've been down anyway due to a family bereavement, so going into the last game with nothing of note up front, needing to stop Wycombe scoring and hoping to sneak a goal is not the most inspiring thought for a 5.30 kick-off saturday - especially with the "entertainment" that Wycombe have lined up for us pre-match. That said, I think I'll get a ticket and see how it goes - partly coz there's a chance of a lift and a few beers might add to the occasion.

Although I can see Accrington frustrating Stevenage, I can't see Exeter passing up the chance to get Carlisle in the play-offs.

I predict a 9th place finish for the U's, just behind Colchester on goals scored. I thnk there'll be more goals in the play-offs but I think you've got the participants and results spot on.

I've been suggesting 'Pools would rescue the Exiles since February. Although I can't see them winning in the battle of the NCFCs, I don't think they'll need to.

Sorry to hear your news. :-(

I haven't been to an away game since my daughter was born (last one was Orient at the end of December) and I wrote off our chances weeks ago. I rate our chances at 10% and I think even that's generous. And yet I'm going on Saturday - got a pass. :-D

I hate playing Wycombe as they always fuck us over in some underhand way. But we both have to win (and ideally need to win by more than 1) and therefore it should be a cracking game. We've sold over a thousand and fully expect us to reach 1500. Not sure beyond that.

I think what makes this situation different to most is that Exeter would be playing us over 2 legs if we win. On one hand their players would be rested up ahead of these games, but on the other hand they'd be letting us go into these games with a possibly psychological boost and off the back of back to back wins.

If I was Exeter I'd still rather play us than blackpool, so would deliberately flog this game.

It will be interesting to see what Tisdale does.

I am worried we might bottle it, in which case I hope it is Donnie as they have been top for so long.

We have a tendency to blow it at the big occasion - see Wembley last year. Last week once the crowd started chanting top of the league, the team became very stilted and very 'uptight'. There is also the likely fact that Carey will be playing his last game for us and will be desperate to go our as a champion, not sure that is a good thing, or maybe it will be.

Or maybe it will all click, certainly it is no fluke we have won thirteen times away, lets make it 14.

11 years ago to the day, we won promotion away at Yeovil on the final day. So it's obviously destiny that we can make the play-offs on the final day against them this afternoon... isn't it?

Assuming this is the single match thread for today?

We will almost certainly not do well in our game today - we haven't won more than 2 in a row all season and have an opportunity here to do that having won our last 2, added to that its a weird kick off time, any time other than 3pm Sat or 1945 Tuesdays we almost invariably shit ourselves.

Nailed on Morecambe win I reckon.

Unless this is a wind up, I'm not quite sure how you've come to this conclusion.

Good luck to the top three teams today. Each of us has achieved what we set out to, anything else is a brucie bonus. And to whichever of us is champions tonight well done and congratulations. And to the other two sides well done.

I'm happy we are promoted and come to terms that we've buggered up the title so well done Plymouth, it's strange today as I want to win but I don't want us to relegate the pools

Many children had their ice creams mercilessly thrown on the floor as these hooligans laughed, bought the children another ice cream, to only throw that on the floor as well. Many an ice cream was lost that day...

Jens Janse, Callum Kennedy and Michael Collins are the only pro players starting. Our bench is a youth team, literally, Dalby is 17, I imagine Janata, Perkins (never heard of), Happe and Alderson are around 17 as well. Koroma is 18. Adeboyejo is the daddy at 19... Sargeant, Clark, Pollock, Ochieng, Alzate, Semedo and Abrahams are all 19 or younger.

Moncur is 20 but earlier in the season was turning out for the royally fucked Bishop's Stortford.

At least Orient won't have to suffer the indignity of the Blackpool fans taking the piss at their relegation, as there won't be any there.
