We've only not sold out Cardiff once in all the years I can remember us playing there and it was the Monday night bubble match that was on Sky. We even sold it out on the Friday night last year when it was on Sky, decent night that was.

Brum yes but Leeds is generally just because we don't travel up north well. We had 2,200 at Leeds the other year as we hadn't played at ER for a few years, but other than that it's been just bog standard northern followings.

Anyway, 350 tickets left for Brentford next Tuesday, and 1,900 sold for Brum.

Maybe it was a bit before your time, but I can remember some dreadful followings at the old Ninian Park! Did you ever go there? That place was pure evil but imho, a better away day than their current ground. The derby has lost its edge a bit since they moved imho.

Yeah I don't really remember our followings at Ninian but it's not really surprising, place was an intimidating shit tip. Cardiff haven't always travelled well here either in fairness.

Yeah I went to Ninian Park when I was younger with my dad, think it was our second last visit there. Doesn't even compare to their new ground, dull and soulless.

You took a combined total of about 3.5k in the previous 3 visits and i agree piss poor turnout from us, I'll be there though to watch us get hammered.

God I miss the place. Was an utter shit tip but it was brilliant. Only time there has been a good atmosphere at the new ground was the P/O semi against Leicester a few years ago.

In fairness the Boro following isn't bad for a TV, will probably be in the top 6 away followings they get this season.
Anything over 1k for a midweek at Cardiff is impressive.

Our away followings were never very good (apart from last season) we wouldn't even take 1000 to Middlesbrough and wouldn't sell out Weeds and Wednesday. But once were at the top of the table away games were sold out in hours... It's like the home games once Dean Hoyle put the price of tickets to about £180 another 10,000 supporters decided to turn up for home games, really pisses me off

You'd be even more pissed off if none of them extra 10,000 had bothered to turn up.

Poor following for a first away game of the season.

Club still trying to win fans back and a long trip during holiday season. Two wins aren't going to bring fans back

You could arguably say the same about the home attendance.

Fair. You've brought similar numbers in the past and I expected a bit more as it was the first away game of the season. Were vocal enough though.

We've actually sold more season tickets than last season, but we will never get more than 12,000 turning up regularly unless we lower prices or build a team that isn't dismantled for profit at the first opportunity.

2142 pissed off blades. Far superior team Boro but a perfectly good goal ruled out in injury time. Serious crowd disorder too

Admittedly a few clubs took a lot more away fans to you last season, but the crowd today was 1k less than your average last year.

The second paragraph is exactly why we are losing fans, selling players for big money, lied to about where the monies gone, one of the lowest budgets in the league yet pay one of the highest ticket prices. The club has been unrecognisable, however this preseason has seen the club finally pull the head out of the sand following a 3k drop in season tickets in 2 years!

Oddly they sounded a lot louder before kick-off than throughout the whole first half. Silent in the second.

Found it bizarre that Sky show 1 freeze frame. It shows that at the moment the ball was crossed in he was clearly ON SIDE.

Then they show a second freeze frame from a slightly different angle showing he was clearly OFF SIDE, so the studio experts say the linesman was correct to disallow it.

However the 2 freeze frames weren't even in sync.

At the point of contact with the ball, the player was definitely ON SIDE, then as it was coming across our player drifted off side, so it should have been a 1-1 draw. Agree Boro were the better team though.

Cause the majority of the boring c*** sat down at kick off. One way to instantly kill an atmosphere.

To be fair Sheffield United have a handy mob, always brought good numbers down here. Pretty sure they fronted the Coopers one season.

I bet you're very content with the world this morning!
Must be the first time Huddersfield have been top of the pile since Herbert Chapman.
Very much so and yes I believe it is the first time we've been top of the table for absolutely ages
