Very low following from our standards but the relationship between players/management team and fans is as lowest it can get right now so im not that surprised. I normally go to 90% Saturday away games but I couldn't be arsed with the way we playing atm.

Only sold 700 for Blackpool next week aswell which we normally take around 2k.

Surprised Rotherhams away support isn't better considering they are gonna piss the fucking League this year like that twat SERNWA said pre season.

Best part is when they try to take the piss out of other teams’ supports, always enjoyable.

We've sold over 1000 for Peterborough this weekend, was expecting about 750 and we might just sell out double that. Impressive support imo, not a new ground either.

We're averaging over a thousand, took the highest away following so far which could possibly be the highest all season when we probably have the worst away record in Britain over the last year or so what more can we do. I would love to see what our followings would be like if we were winning games away from home like Wigan and Blackburn.

Yeah not a new ground, which is why I've chosen Northampton over Peterborough can't do both.

Our away support must be one of the lowest compared to population seeing as the population of Donny is 310k.

It's all relative though, if we were anywhere near the top, we'd be averaging over 1000. Easily.

You were top of League 2 virtually all of last season and averaged 765.

And our home average was under 6000, and this season it is over 8000.

Also didn't help last season with the paltry allocations we were given for games we sold out at - your place, Mansfield, Accrington etc.

Come back when you averaged nearly 2000 away at League Two level, like we did in 2004.

Did you fuck get nearly 2000 average in league two in 2004. Average away allocations wouldn't have been 2000 to start with so that is bs.

Burys so far based on that link:

Average attendance: 4,026
Net average home fans: 3,001
Average away 553
% of home taken away 18.38 (2nd)

Considering we are bottom of the league I don't think that's too bad by our standards. We've still got Dale, Oldham and Wigan to play at home too which should be decent turnouts. Hopefully now we've got a manager people want in the club our crowds will improve.

Start winning games under Lucketti and we should average around 4,500 by the end of the season. Not great but it's what it is.

Shut up you dweeb.

I'll dig the programme's out for that season, and the season after in League One. We practically sold out every away allocation in 2003/04. I'm sure other Rovers fans on here will confirm.

You can't really call someone a dweeb when your following line is 'I'll dig the programmes out from 2003/04'.

Dig the programme out please, I actually don't dispute you had a decent average, some away ends were big, Huddersfield, Bury etc but would like to see the numbers.

A third of the away games were within an 80 mile radius some with big away ends. I'd be disappointed if we went up as champions and didn't average 2k away fans if we had 8 away games within 80 miles - not ever likely to happen though (8 clubs that close in the same division...!)

League one.

Bradford, Wigan, Oldham, Donny, Rotherham, Blackpool, Bury, Rochdale and Fleetwood?

Not from Gy though - in theory we could have:-
Scunny, Lincoln, Tahgers, Donny, Barnsley, Rovrum, SWFC, SUFC; also Chesterfield, Notts and Forest. Mansfield is just over and we used to also have Boston and York. Best in my lifetime was 79/80 when we had 6 of those and we were champions - no away fan counts in those days just estimates - usually wildly exaggerated by us at school. You had to estimate by comparing to typical home crowd for a non derby game.

Our away average is likely to stay pretty small for the remainder of the season in honesty. Of the games we'd normally take a fair few to, Charlton is New Years Day (and I'll say it now, there's no way I'll be awake for that one), and Southend is Easter Monday (trying to get to Southend on a normal day is a pisstake, so this is likely to be awful) but we should have 1500 ish at both. Other than that once again I'm going to pull the location card - Wimbledon is close but that's been and done on a tuesday and beyond that we're looking at MK, Northampton and Oxford as our next local games - two of which we've already done with poor followings, and Northampton is on a tuesday night in February. I guess we'll take a fair few down to Pompey later in the season, but how many will depend on how we're doing at the time - could see another 1500 following to that one with the right circumstances.

We'll probably have around our average down at Plymouth this weekend (if it's on!) as it's a decent weekender, but then we'll have a probably sub-150 following at Fleetwood on the friday night(!) before Christmas. Expect to finish somewhere around 400ish as an average.
