I think it’s fair to say this is a must win for both teams. Chesterfield look to be as good as relegated, but with games in hand they have a small chance if they start with a win on Tuesday. Frankly, I am amazed at how they’ve struggled so badly considering some players in their squad. How has it happened? Kristian Dennis is a quality forward and will be a threat I’d imagine.

As for us, we have to win and hope Wycombe lose at Lincoln. We’re still missing a number of first team players with Troy Brown, Moore-Taylor, Harley, Holmes missing most of the last 6 weeks. Now it looks like Moxey has an injury that he picked up on Saturday, plus Woodman and Simpson were both missing in that game, so thank god we have a big squad and I’m amazed by our form of late considering the absentees.

Should be a decent crowd for a Tuesday night and think an early goal from us should see a comfortable win. 3-0 City; Stockley, Taylor and Jay with the goals.

Will we have any defenders? Bad time of the season to have them all injured, it may be so desperate that Danny Seaborne gets a game.
I've given up predicting, but we do need to score early on to calm nerves

Still got Sweeney, Wilson, Storey, Archibald-Henville and Croll before we have to worry about using Seaborne.

Huge game. We are right in form, and Chesterfield appear to be the opposite, and our home form is impressive. Expecting a very nervy 90 minutes with the odd goal settling it. I dream of being 2 goals to the good early on and the pressure off, but never seems to happen much with us. Hope Wycombe get a proper spanking

If we don't get 3 points then we aren't going up automatically. It's that simple. It's a huge game and neither side want a draw.

Home win please. I think you should beat them as easily as you did against us at St James's this season. We have somehow managed to win twice against them and we are crap!

Exeter looked impressive with their performance against Stanley on Saturday, I thought Jay had a good game, the sub Edwards look a crowd pleaser with his trickery and a series of multi-step-overs,
but I think Moxey will be a big miss for you, he showed his class on saturday and has bags of experience at a higher level,

Any Exeter or Chesterfield fans in Luton on Tuesday, good news, you can go to Kenilworth Road and watch your game :dk:

Bit weird tbh, I'll probably have one eye on the result but can't imagine wanting to go and watch the whole game.

A draw please. This would mean we are basically promoted thanks to having a far superior goal difference. Yet we still have something to play for on Saturday and gives the fans and players a chance to celebrate promotion in style. If Exeter lose it means we get promoted without playing which is a bit of an anti climax. Think a lot of fans will give Carlisle a miss in that case and save their money for Notts County away last game.

Luckily Moxey has said his injury isn’t as bad as thought and he may be fit to play tomorrow.

Chesterfield played like Real Madrid against us, and I for one am demanding they do it again here.

Surprised to see Exeter at evens for this?

You often find odds like this towards the end of the season. The bookies obviously know that this is a must-win game for Chesterfield so price up the match accordingly.

I bet on us most weeks. The odds have been well above what they should have been ever since Tisdale wrote that utterly disgraceful article about us. Not sure why it has affected the odds as much as it has, but it has. Probably because they know there are some underlying issues at the club. We weren't favourites when we played Cambridge and I thought 4/1 away at Accrington was a bit steep as well. Seem to still be playing well though.

That being said, I do think we'll lose this.

Why though? Just because they need to win it doesn't mean they will, as they've proved literally all season long

No idea, the bookies do it every season though. You find some really strange odds towards the end of the season, especially on the last day when teams need to win to stay up, despite having been awful all season, you'll often find them odds on to win away at a team quite a way above them in the league.

We will lose and won't score.

If I'd got thousands of quid spare I'd be lumping on Exeter at those prices.

Fighting for their lives or not (not that Chessie even are particularly, apart from v us), evens for Exeter is bloody good value at first glance! The bookies rarely get it wrong though - hope that continues tonight!

Well thank goodness for that.

I didn't want to secure promotion for the third consecutive time whilst not playing!
