Used to be an annual thread this, same as the TOTS thread that never got done. You'd at least expect our so called mod to have the thread up by now to keep discussion going. Lead by example and all that. Standards are slipping round here imvho and that. And I'm not usually one to point fingers but I'm fairly sure it's Salty's fault.

Not a lot of talent to choose from this year mind you. Alfie Mawson is good enough to sit on our bench I reckon, would be a good rotation option with Lejeune. Butland could play for most teams in the division, though not ourselves as Dubravka is clearly superior. Sobhi and Tymon could be good players in the future, other than that they've got nothing to offer. Jonny Evans is the obvious one from West Brom. I recall Scruff once labeling him the finest ball playing centre back the world has ever seen. Rondon would be decent if you fancy a hard working striker that never scores goals, but we've got 2 of them already. Chadli would be a good signing for us with our lack of quality out wide. Nowt else worth my time there though.

So for us I wouldn't object to a couple of offers for Mawson and Chadli. Evans too but he's off to Lehstah apparently.

What about you chaps? Is 43 year old Gareth Barry the solution to your lack of bookings in midfield? What about the Ayew brothers? Andre was decent 3 years ago. Do you lack a clumsy mouth breathing centre back? If so Shawcross could solve all of your problems.

Anyone who can defend or score a goal !

Jonny Evans at 3 million or so would have been good .

Expected Goals
I'd take Joe Allen and Hal Robson-Kanu.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Craig Dawson, Jay Rodriguez, Joe Allen would all be great for us.

Sadly I doubt we'll get any, even Rodriguez who I thought we had a decent chance of getting seems more likely to go (back) to Burnley.

I don't rate Butland as highly as everyone else and am still unsure of his potential, when I watch him he seems to have concentration issues and has too many casual errors and inconsistent footwork. My worry with him would be playing in a side where they dominant the ball and then he is expected to pull a world class save out off, like the top keepers.

Mawson would be your best centre back.
