I know we have a last film you watched thread, but I've just rejoined Netflix.

I'm currently having to trawl through titles and searching them on IMDB for ratings.

Does anyone have any recommendation for crime/physcological/mystery films/tv show picks?

Not sure if true crime is your thing, but they've uploaded some incredible shows recently.

The Staircase, which is a story murder mystery of a death from 2003. Courtroom drama, well worth a watch.

Evil Genius, another incredible crime story involving a guy with a neck bomb collar robbing a bank for a group of people back in 2003.

Wild Wild Country, which charts the rise of a cult out of India, which moved to the USA and things get a bit nuts.

Those 3 are a good place to start.

Yes mate, love it. Have just finished The Staircase, was quality. Will take a look at the other two.

American Vandal - 8 episode parody of true crime documentaries such as Making a Murderer. It's hilarious.

I'd also recommend Evil Genius. I watched it a few weeks ago, it's really gripping and also highlights how sadistic some people really are.

For great crime drama, Fargo and Hannibal are two of the more ambitious and entertaining TV shows of the last decade. Netflix has only series 1 and 2 of Hannibal but series 3 disappeared up its own fundament and isn't worth watching anyway. Fargo is on Netflix in its entirety.

Better Call Saul is just as good as the aforementioned, but someone has recommended that already.

I really liked London Spy. A lot of people didn't, but it may be worth giving a go if you like espionage shenanigans and don't mind sloth-like pacing. I also think Bates Motel is very underrated.

Most of the good true crime documentary series have been mentioned (or will be soon enough), so for that I'll recommend Wormwood, which seems to have flown under a lot of people's radars.

You didn't ask for animated comedy, but you could do a lot worse than Rick and Morty and Bojack Horseman, especially if your sense of humour is dark and a bit fucked up. If you like your comedy lighter, Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place are very enjoyable.

Just finished watching the third season of Bloodline (Drama). About a close-knit family with lots of skeletons in the closet. Which i thought was a pretty decent series.

Was recently talks of Netflix fetching it back for a season 4?

Just had the pleasure of watching season one of Glow (Comedy) about 1980s women's wrestling. It's a smartly plotted series with some great characters that deepen in the course of the show.
Netflix has found a winner with this one........Starring Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin and Marc Maron.

Watched Wind River (2017) last night. Follows a wildlife officer and FBI agent as they investigate a murder on a Native American reservation. Written and directed by Taylor Sheridan who wrote Sicario and Hell or High Water so if you've seen those you'll know what kind of thing to expect. Good cast too and you get to see Elizabeth Olsen's bare bum.

Just finished Seven Seconds on Netflix whixh I thought was very good. Disappointed to read the show has been cancelled and there will be no second season.

Still worth a watch as the season does have a conclusion.

It’s about a young boy who’s death is covered up by New Jersey police with a detective and assistant prosecutor who try to find out the truth.

Just finished watching Marvel's Luke Cage - Season 1 + Season 2.
The first season was pretty much okay, the show is stronger in its second season than the first, delivering enough powerful set pieces and character development to keep you interested across its 13 episodes.

Netflix hasn't officially confirmed Luke Cage Season 3 yet.

Mindhunter Season 2: 9 Serial Killers Confirmed

Though season one took place in 1977, season two will jump a few years forward, presumably taking place in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

1. The BTK Killer, Dennis Rader.
2. William Pierce, Jr.
3. Paul Bateson.
4. William Henry Hance.
5. The Son Of Sam, David Berkowitz.
6. Elmer Wayne Henley.
7. Tex Watson.
8. Charles Manson.
9. Wayne Williams.

If they get the casting right, this has the potential to blow the first season right out of the water.

Loved the first series. Series two could be awesome if they get it right.

If you like dark rather silly comedies, I have to recommend Santa Clarita Diet.

I've just binge watched 8-episodes of The Innocents Season 1

Not a bad little supernatural show if you've got the patience to sit through a mildly baffling pilot episode, it's a strange and delicate romance about two teenagers June (Sorcha Groundsell) and Harry (Percelle Ascott) who are besotted with each other and decide to get away from their families so they can be together. One slight problem one of them is a shape-shifter. Also stars Guy Pearce.

The Innocents is well worth a watch.

Just finished watching Season 2 of Ozark.

Excellent acting, a typical show that you don't want to end......it makes you want more.
Season 2 of Ozark goes into to some incredibly dark places with the two main characters Marty (Jason Bateman) & Wendy (Laura Linney)!! Great show to watch that will keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense.

It would be safe to say Ozark will be returning in 2019 for a Season 3? Although it hasn't been officially confirmed yet.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Obviously good that Bojack is back.
Big Mouth is set for a second series later this year.
Disenchantment has been OK.
Santa Clarita Diet is fun.

It's downright weird. Sorta like Inception. To be fair, Jonah Hill and Emma Stone are superb.

Yeah deffo! I see the trailer teases Daredevil villain Bullseye, who'll no doubt be a force to be reckon with.

The third season of Marvel's Daredevil premiers exclusively on Netflix on October 19th.
