Made a few changes but in theory a strong enough side but at the moment we're under the cosh a bit, think Swindon hit the post from the halfway line too.

Even game here so far. We’ve been playing some good stuff just unable to finish moves off, two great saves from the Walsall keeper. A blunder but Ellis gifted Ferrier a goal who showed himself to be as much a prick as the media stories about him suggested.

Decent first half for us. Should be leading but the officials robbed us of a clear goal. Anyway 0-0 is ok.

Same old problems, sloppy start, no goal threat without Pope. If he isn’t back ASAP we are in trouble.

Our reserves are drawing 2-2 at Middlesbrough reserves, sounds a fun game to be fair. Twice took the lead through teenage debutant Tom Crawford then old man Jon, who is consistently amazing in cup games for some reason.

Not in the least bit interested in the result. Think Aspin should have given the likes of Quigley and Kanu a start as I’m starting to wonder what the point in signing these two actually was.

Lumping it up to Miller on his own against three defenders well over six foot. Nuts!

Beating Accy 4-1 at half time, Tyler Walker hat-trick and Otis Khan.

This should be the first time we have gone past the first round since like 2006 or something ridiculous.

Didn’t get a penalty first half that looked a decent call... Lincoln get one second half game over.

While I have the utmost respect for Newport, getting stuffed 3-0 by them at home with a fairly strong side is very concerning.

Currently drawing 1-1 with Ipswich. They’ve played a pretty strong team and we’ve only made 4 changes.

Kayden Jackson scored for them following a mistake by Pym at his near post.

Troy Brown equalised for us on the hour. Sounds like the game is getting stretched now so may not end level.

Less than 1k home fans in our first game back in the league cup shows how much credence this cup holds at this stage, even this early in the season.

What is going on with Vale? Expected Aspin to really have improved things over the summer....

Still early days in the season I guess.

At home against another league two side that’s bang out of order. Huge questions to be asked. Not arsed about going out as it’s a Micky mouse cup as mentioned pre game but that is deeply worrying.

First game played superb... done none of the things we did so well in the second and third games.

Defence he’s messed with pointlessly and with Pope out we have zero presence up front.

One chance one goal, five minutes added on from not much and we look like we might waste our way out of it. Swindon must have spurned getting on for a dozen chances.

50 years ago we won this bloody thing. Now we’re losing at home to (no offence to you) a glorified non-league garden centre, who in turn win their first ever league cup tie.

We are not very good at all. Well done FGR.

As you say early days and I will be fair the two teams who've beaten us are clearly good sides but to lose 4-0 at home is pretty shameful regardless. I felt at the start of the season we were better and I think mid-table is about where will be once things gel and still think that. I will say though one or two of the things am seeing from Aspin are exactly the same things criticised Michael Brown for last year (the main one being I struggle to see how certain managers try and outsmart themselves by not playing players in their proper positions). Last year he had a pass, this year not so much.

Why play a centre half at right back? Dropping Joyce who is our best player in possession? What’s the point in signing players who he won’t play like Vassell?

Absoute meltdown on the OVF and rightly so. Need to get Howkins fit and on loan ASAP and swallow pride and get Ben back to give us some pace.
