Who would have thought getting players back from injury would result in good results...

First PNE goals for Stockley, Storey & Potts. Browne with his 9th of the season. Starts for Maguire & Davies. Good shit.

We're top 6 material with a fully fit squad, just a shame we never seem to have everybody fit at the same time.

Gutted I wasn't there today, quality performance.

What a day. Best individual performance I’ve seen from a North End player today from Pearson, on another planet to everyone on the pitch.

What a performance.

You could tell early on that we were on our game, the way we were slamming the ball about with purpose. There was a great energy and menace about everyone.

Can't believe how well Stockley and Potts have slotted in. Both are fantastic additions.

If only we had those 2, and a fully fit squad for the majority of the games we've played... we'd defo be top 6.

Shame the season is pretty much a dead rubber from our perspective, but it bodes well going forwards......if we can keep hold of the likes of Pearson, Browne, Robinson etc.

Barmy army!

No way we're gonna be able to hold on to Pearson. If we got 10 mill for Hugill I'd want 15-20 for Pearson.

I was at the game and yep he was brilliant. How far off that kind of standard does he get on a regular basis? Was PL class yesterday.

Great atmosphere in the away end too.

He’s fantastic every week, yesterday was probably his best performance in a North End shirt but it wasn’t too far above many of his previous ones this season or last. If he wasn’t such a hot headed idiot he’d already be playing in the PL. Just got to enjoy it while we’ve still got him.

I did laugh when he kicked the ball into the QPR dugout twice towards the end, with the second one getting a reaction off one of their staff. Thought it might have been an accident the first time but twice in about 10 mins, he definitely knew what he was doing. If you took that out of his game though, he might not be as good? He played some lovely balls out wide as well winning pretty much every 50-50 ball.

Oh yeah, they were both 100% deliberate, that’s why I love him so much

He’s genuinely got everything, he’s fast, reads the game so well and is technically excellent. Probably get laughed at but I genuinely believe he will play for England if he can sort out his temperament but like you say, may detract from his game if he does that.

Without that temperament though he would never have ended up playing for us so I’m eternally grateful that he’s a lunatic.

You’re welcome, PNE!
Both of them are quality. Storey has taken time to break through but him and Davies were great together yesterday.

Happily have them as our CB pairing

Pearson is the best player in the league, in his position. Simple as that.

As Tom says, just gotta enjoy him while he's with us.

I'll be properly devastated when he goes. Probably even more so than when we sold Nugent and Fuller.

The fact he's rapid makes me confident he would impress in the Prem compared to other good midfielders we've had like Gregan, O'Neill & McKenna.

If you've got a sell-on clause for Storey, Exeter are in for a very healthy windfall in a couple of seasons.

He's going to the very top.
I really hope we do. I expect there’s a fair chance we negotiated it as part of the deal. I still can’t get my head around that he still hadn’t made his league debut for us this time last year. It’s great to see he’s doing so well and as soon as he got into our team you could see he was class.

That was shocking from us. Losing Luongo and Cameron in midfield is really costing us as Scowen and Cousins aren't good enough. One of them we could maybe cope with but playing both is not pretty. The defence won't pass to them so we lump it long.

Then we bring on Matt Smith and he is not good. He is only good last 10 minutes if we are crossing the ball in but we had no sustained pressure. Too many players didn't turn up and it was such a poor showing.

I didn't think your support was that great, even at 2-0 I wouldn't say it was great. I was stood to the right as you look out at the pitch from the away end.

Weird how we can only win when teams are having an off day, it's as if we prepare for games and have tactics to negate the other team, but surely not.

Classic 'your fans weren't that good' too. Combo.

Tbf to Matt, I watched on ifollow and didn't think the noise from the away end was anywhere near what we're capable of.
Maybe the mic's weren't the best, but I did think to myself, during the game, that the atmosphere sounded a bit flat.

It zoomed in on the fans quite a few times, and they all looked fucking frozen to death.

Looked like there were loads of older folks too. Old fogie types who don't usually get stuck into the chants.

I'm not a PNE fan, so not my support. There were two groups of PNE fans making the bulk of the noise. One to left hand side and one to the right. At times they were singing the same song but at different times, and were hardly ever in unison. You probably couldn't hear the ones on the left side that much, but it was pretty loud where we were sat in the middle. Bear in mind I'm used to L2 followings, though!

Not a fan of Scowen? Was very jealous when you snapped him up, would’ve loved him here.

Not really. He does a job but he doesn't really have much positional sense. Just sort of runs around a lot but not much else in it. He isn't great attacking wise and defensively he leaves us too open by chasing everything. He is okay next to a leader like Cameron but without that, he's not that good.

Yeah that makes sense. That happens with QPR as well. Once end of the stand I am in will sing something different to the other end. When we actually sort it out and sing the same songs its pretty good.

Scowen was made to look better than he is in an outstanding Barnsley midfield. League One standard player.

Wasn’t he quality at right back under both Johnson and Hecky though?
