If the rumoured 2pm announcement is anything to go by, Scholes will be in charge today meaning tomorrow will be his first game. I don't imagine he will change too much from the team that finished the 3-0 win at Crawley on Saturday.

Will all due respect to Yeovil, their form is horrific and I am led to believe you have 2 key suspensions for this game in addition to a dressing room which is in meltdown?

This is the first of a treble-header of home games, with Crewe & Morecambe to visit in the next 7 days. If we want to considered for the playoffs, we have to get 9pts from 9 heading into that Bury game on Feb 23rd.

Iversen

Hamer - Edmundson - Clarke - Nepomuceno

Missilou - Maouche

Dearnley - Baxter - Branger

Lang
Eventually I think Nepo will return to LW in place of Branger, but you can't not start Branger after his last 20 mins against Crawley. Dearnley looked a cut above when he came off the bench, and Vera is shite.

Latics 2-1 Yeovil (70 Glovers)

Odd one Vera, I remember him being hailed as a big deal when he signed.

Noticed on his wiki page, that at 31 he's still yet to play more than a single season for a club.

We have two RBs out suspended so Bevis Mugabi will probably get another chance. Whether Way will ever play Seager again remains to be seen and Worthington stormed off when he was subbed on Saturday giving the manager verbals as he did so so he may well be dropped. One piece of good news is Darren Way is suspended so won't be on the sidelines. Paul Terry will take his place.

We'll play 4-5---------1 as we always do and hope to cling on for a 0-0. Which we won't do.

3-0 to the home side.

I didn't realise he was technically a director. Is he selling his 10% as well, then?

That Mugabi should help dictate the play, has a killer pass so I’ve heard.

I hope the appt of Scholesy is a masterstroke for your club. Sure he's going into this with his eyes wide open, an 18 month contract is an interesting one
Will be following every match with him in charge and hope to see you back in league 1 2021 !!

How long will it be until you're back into your correct level of non-league footy anyway?

Considering we haven’t seen this from the start all the season, I’ve nailed it this time.

However, I can’t shake off the impending doom that is an inevitable 0-1 defeat. It would be just so very Oldham

Yeovil got exactly what they deserved there. Dirty and blatant fouling throughout. Obvious your gaffer told them to stop us playing football.

That said, 4 cracking goals from our lot and although we were never allowed to play we were the better team throughout. First of three home games where we really need 9 points.

I'll take that

We were expecting to lose but unfortunately two very late goals made it look really bad. We've even started losing our discipline again over the last few games which isn't going to help. Shame as our record has been fairly good this season.

Dirty set of poor footballers got what they deserved can see you ending up going down how you kept 11 on the pitch I will never know. Ref had a shocker of a game

Gonna have to jump in and defend Yeovil here and say that they weren't dirty vs us on Saturday going off the radio commentary. What was negative from their perspective though was the toxicity of the discontent of the home support. That's not a dig, either. We've been there many times. It was all too familiar though. Felt very much like when we went down and where we were heading in the last few months of Slade's reign of doom last season.

We're not a dirty team so it's unfair to say so based on one game. Oldham have a worse disciplinary record than us this season for instance.

I'm still convinced that we don't have a poor squad either. Our manager is so inept, clueless and demoralising that the players have lost all confidence and direction. Sadly there's no way out (no pun intended) as the manager will never be sacked.

We're so desperate to get rid of Way that we'd even have Slade back! Actually he did get us into the League 1 play off final...seems a lifetime ago...

We play football

Their gaffer knew that and knew he couldn't match us playing that way, so told them to stop us playing. Could see it a mile off. Especially knowing the ref has only given 30 odd cards this year he knew how it would go.

Thankfully, playing the right way won out in the end.

How hamer walked away from that injury in the first 10 seconds I'll never know. He couldve broke his neck

Can’t comment on this game, but Yeovil weren’t a dirty side when they drew 0-0 at Prenton Park. Have only seen Thomas Bramall (ref) once this season, but he wasn’t shy at producing red cards during our time in the NL.

I believe it was his debut season in the EFL today? He looked woefully out of his depth.

Probably sometime in the next 30 years ! Nothing lasts forever, we have had a fantastic run over the last 15 years, I remember when we got promoted to league 2 saying I will be happy to stay in this league for the next 10 years or so, then we went and got b...promoted to league 1. The same comments apply, only thing is we have a Chairman with aspirations for the Championship !
Your lads seem to be doing ok, do you think you can get to the play offs ?, either way I wish you well for the remainder of the season

30 years? I'll give it 5-10.

We'll probably hit play offs but fuck it up. Although, I wouldn't mind turning Tisdale's MK Dons over at Wembley.
