For what it's worth - In the match day thread I predicted the score correctly. I said 2-1 or 1-1.

https://www.onefootballforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/fosse-way-derby-lincoln-v-exeter.21419/ Post #3

Yes I know, saying you would beat us, AND you would get into the autos on another thread. It's hard to read your posts and make sense of them being illiterate, one breath you say you would beat us, then you hedge your bets in the match prediction by saying 2-1 or a 1-1 draw.

Yet another tiresome comment from you DL. Pretty sure none of our fans that post on here have ever said that.

Why don't you just go and take your face for a shit?
Guy probably thinks we are still finishing mid table.

Season is surpassing my expectations even at the moment. I expected us to be on the fringes this season and then top 3 next year if we didn’t go up via playoffs. If we can maintain our form we will finish 3rd this season but that’s a tall order.

In terms of playoffs we probably only need 10-12 more points. The sooner we have that the better.

Incredible turnaround because you were abysmal at Field Mill not long back.

The squad is a lot more settled now and has rediscovered the defensive foundations that Mellon has built his success at Tranmere on; 2 goals conceded in the last 7 games. The signings of technically better players than we previously had has also allowed Connor Jennings and James Norwood more freedom too, we look like scoring most attacks in most games.

Composure, last night and away at Exeter we were content to soak up pressure and generally speaking managed the game well, that wasn’t the case during December when we were leaking goals.

Not getting ahead of myself and not “expecting” promotion, we are ahead of schedule.

Not sure I have said we would get in the autos, it was definitely a possibility a while back, but I'm not convinced I ever said we would get in the autos. Happy for you to find a quote that actually matches your accusation this time.

I predicted we'd beat you, then a few days later I changed my mind given 2 injuries we incurred on the weekend and said we'll still beat you but it may be a draw - And got the score correct. We were about 5 seconds away from beating you as well. I don't think I could've got it much better if I tried!

No, for what it's worth (And I'm grateful so many people take so much notice of my predictions) you'll perhaps get the last play off place. You've got a very hard run, but you are playing extremely well at the moment.

4 wins in a row have seen us now only 6 points off the playoffs. Still seems like only a marginal chance, however our run in is pretty kind!

Play the teams that are currently in 16,17,21,23,3,24,2,22,14. So outside of Bury and Mansfield basically all the teams at the bottom of the league.

Fair play to Curle for turning around our season, especially impressive considering he offloaded our two highest earners in January (Crooks and Van Veen).

How have I been wrong here? He's saying I said we would beat Lincoln and get promoted automatically. I never said this. Unless he can show me where I said this then he should retract his comment and apologise. All he's shown me is a prediction I said that we'd beat Lincoln about a week before the match, before revising this to a 2-1 win or a 1-1 draw the day before the game - Which was bang on the money.

Not sure how this in anyway equates to me thinking I'm always right. More of a case of calling someone out who's talking utter shite and accusing me of things I've not said.

Exeter will absolutely beat Lincoln and go on to secure automatic promotion, not only from this league, but arguably be in the Championship by the 2020/2021 season - Best footballing side we've ever seen at the County ground

Couldn't agree with you more, mate. Shame about the Lincoln result though, aye?

Even at the start of the season when you were struggling I thought you were one of the best sides we'd faced and, looking at your run-in, I wouldn't be surprised if you're in amongst it come the final game or two.

Anything is possible but I find it hard to believe we can beat Lincoln in our current form, especially considering we have so many injuries, hope Preston and Sweeney are back so we can revert to our trusted back three with Pearce.

Last 5 home wins in a row.

Lincoln and Crewe should hopefully yield 4/6 points - vital that it does with our dodgy away form

Fascinating to watch this from the other end with two local clubs involved. That MK v Mansfield game on the last day could be quite the occasion - how many would you expect to take for that Stags fans, if a win meant promotion?

Our performance at your place was one of the best of the season from our perspective. However the opposite can be said when you came to Sixfields! That loss seems to have been the kick up the ass the squad needed.

A educated guess doesn’t exist because it’s something that’s not happened before but it will be more than at County I imagine.

Monday night is going to be interesting! We're unbeaten since Boxing day (League) and have scored at least once in the last 26 games (including FA Cup) going back to October.

Your home record is really very strong.

Draw would suit us more than you but doubt we will be playing for a draw.

As good as our recent form has been unfortunately I don’t consider us auto contenders. Lincoln and Bury are up imo and it will be a straight shootout between Mansfield and MK for the last place.

We’ve left it too late in the day to muscle our way in I feel. Our run of fixtures leaves it improbable for us if not impossible.

March:
Oldham (A)
Colchester (A)
Carlisle (H)

April:
Newport (A)
Milton Keynes Dons (H)
Forest Green Rovers (H)

Lincoln (A)
Bury (H)

May:
Crawley (A)

Our April looks absolutely disgusting but at least it’s in our hands if we’re winning we know our rivals are losing. Lincoln and Bury could be up by then which gives us abit of hope.

You cannot discount how terrible we were against Vale, then average against Crawley.

Dunno what to expect to be honest.

We are not up, far from it. There are 9 games to go and we are 5 points into the autos.

We just need to keep on winning, that is all.

Oh ok. If it happens it’s good you will be playing at the one ground in the division where you would get an even bigger allocation than our place!

Whats the home end looking like for sales? Should be a great atmosphere- we can be as inconsistent but have just hit a growing vein of form with 3 wins on the spin.

Sounds like it depends which team turns up on the night (for either of us)

Has Paul Tisdale never managed a team when it was wet and windy?!

He just admitted that he had no idea how to play a team to cope with the conditions!
It was the pitch against us. He would be better than Pep provided they can play indoors.

No, it wasn't. No Exeter fan said that.

Are you illiterate up norf?
You said you would beat Lincoln.
And Denzel said none of the teams outside the play offs at that current time would overtake Exeter.
Tranmere were 9th when he said that.
Happy New Year.

Funny one was when Exeter missed a pen v us he was moaning it should have been retaken as we had 2 players just slightly in the box and he called them cheats, so then I found the season before game against them where we missed a penalty and there were 4 or 5 Exeter players miles into the box.
Surprisingly when picked up on this Devon Lad went missing and never replied to it.

We were not abysmal prior to the red card. The game was evenly contested until that point.

I don't think it is the run of fixtures that makes it unlikely - a lot of those sides are in very poor form - rather, that we are not likely to win twelve or thirteen matches out of fifteen against any opposition, the kind of run we would need to go up automatically.

Then again, teams have managed that kind of sequence in the past.

You seem strangely obsessed with us.
Can't recall exactly what I said apart from finding it weird that Swindon fans were celebrating Lincoln getting an equaliser against us given where they were and what I thought of their chances at the time.
But hey, go find a quote if it makes you feel good about yourself.
