of the teams in the top;-
Solihull and Wrexham should have little problems defeating Braintree and Maidstone - unless Wrexham's confidence is that fragile that their mauling by Barrow on Tuesday has shattered it.
Salford have what looks like an easy game at Aldershot - BUT the narrow defeat against Orient may have given them enough confidence to snatch a point.
Eastleigh are the form team and have (my team) Barrow at home - to be honest it depends which Barrow team turns up - the one that lost at Barnet will lose to Eastleigh - but the one that ripped Wrexham a new one in the 1st half at the race course on Tuesday will do the same to Eastleigh.

At the bottom there's a Huge match at Havant - If they can win against Chesterfield there's a good chance they will stay up - and coupled with Dover and Barnet who both should get at least a point from their games the Chesterfield forum meltdown could restart.

A Havant win is going to give everyone at the bottom a quick case of the diarrhoea.

Come on Brother Chesterfield, end them!

now that we have 52 points I think we are safe and i do want 4 southern teams to go down - Chesterfield are the only northern team i'm concerned about - if they lose to Havant then the usual new manager upturn in fortune is over and I fear they could go the way of York etc.

This Barrow MAULING of us is going to replace the famous FA Cup win over Tranmere as things we are constantly reminded of, isn't it.. :shut:

As for us, well I don't think we could ask for an easier game on paper given how we are back in CRISIS mode.
Walker will still be out, and unsure of Summerfield, Carrington and Pearson. Also it is Tollitt's final game for us, so we will be really down to the bare bones.
Simply must win, and I think we'll win it in a drab 1-0.

I think Pearson was out because he can't handle 3 games in 8 days because of his (back?) injury - If so he'll be back and you'll win.

It’s definitely not Barrow’s Cup Final every season though, remember that.

Hoping we help out our fellow brothers one last time before we bow out of this league.
Unfortunately I can’t see anything but a hammering - 4-0 Salford.

We'll go back to 4-3-3, Lainton will get his 20th clean sheet and everyone will relax for a week.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Despite losing to Orient on Tuesday, Shots team performance was the best I’ve seen this season. Against Salford ,we need individuals to put in another good shift . But our “strikers” still show no sign of scoring, and our defence is still as flakey as a box of Kellogg’s. 1-2 again, I fear.

We don't play for two weeks - Solihull can really put the pressure on us by winning both of their games.

They'll beat the brains this week, but we need Halifax and their rock hard home defence to do us a favour next week..................

I've stopped looking to see who we will gift points to next.

Pools, you'll be gifting them to Pools.

In all seriousness we are too wishy washy, wouldn't surprise me if you turned us over comfortably.

Didn't realise Havant were playing Chesterfield. A Chesterfield win would be extremely helpful!

Hard to call our game - I would expect something similar to our draw with Halifax. We'll take the lead but struggle to kill the game off.

Draw probably on the cards unless Tarpey can find some serious goalscoring form.

I can't be bothered registering on Eastleigh's forum to answer them there - but anyone from Eastleigh who things Barrow will try and "park the bus" today needs to watch the highlights from Wrexham v Barrow...

Ha, why the fuck would we park the bus? What is a point gonna do for us?

Every remaining game now is about trying new things and seeing who is deserving of a new contract.

I was hoping that by the time I came back from Ghana tomorrow after a fortnight there that we would have assured our safety in the league but it appears that we will keep our season alive for a while yet!
There is a possibility of relegation but the overwhelming probability is that we’ll stay in this division. We still have 4 matches in hand on H & W, who looked a very limited team to me.
Just up the tempo FFS!

no - but if you have a fire tv stick you can watch Wrexham's own highlights of the game on a big screen tv - just hearing the Wrexham fans losing it and the team getting booed of at half time is well worth it.:fish:
