They’ll be partying all night in...wherever folk go nowadays in Luton since Liquid shut.

Got a good record against Barnsley and the Yorkshire clubs need evening out, so they’ll do I guess.

Hell yeah, the standard is extremely good in comparison Ken. We noticed a real change after being away from this level for a few years, it WILL be a shock how good this league is in comparison to the one you're leaving behind.
You'll love it!

Next season is going to be absolutely immense. We’re in no doubt that we are going from being quite a large fish to a small fish in the next league. We will go from having one of the largest budgets (£5m) to around one of the smallest next season. We will need to break our transfer record in the summer I feel.

The exception rather than the rule, it does happen from time to time, two of the three up last season are back down and had Ipswich not been an utter basket case the other was more than in the mix.

Barnsley have the financial clout to compete by all accounts but will Luton?

Would prefer Donny or Posh up as more local and less likely to be able to compete

The old days of pissing away money are gone. We have a committed set of investors and they will be delivering a new stadium and it's enabling development over the next 4-5 years. I can't answer if they have the 'financial clout' of some teams in this division. It is clear that financially the division has changed beyond comprehension since 2007.

When does the new TV deal / double solidarity payments come into force? Next season or 2020?

We will not be spending £20-30-40m on wages like some team in this division. Not even in the same ballpark - not even close. We are stable, but we're not going to put the club at risk again.

Graeme Jones will come in next week to replace Nathan Jones / Mick Harford after he was sacked by WBA a few months back.

We need to strengthen in a few areas no doubt. I'd say 5-6 signings - a goalkeeper, a full back(s) if either leave (or both) because they are the best full back pairing by a distance outside the Championship, a centre half, a defensive midfielder, perhaps a winger to give another option and a striker. Just like everyone really...

I know I was only taking the piss , completely down to our manager, not one player in our team has performed better anywhere else in their careers than they have under wilder. Sums it up for me how good he is.

Looking forward to playing Luton again next season, the games have more of an edge about them.
I still remember the FA Cup game at Loftus Road from about 2003(?) I was stuck at the far back of the stand having just turned a teenager. Awesome atmosphere.
It's certainly been a while!

Yeah I was there for that one, I think. It was under the lights I think? Any idea where the rivalry came from? Or is it just one way?

I've just looked it up. It was 2007 - I didn't realise it was that late. I remember Shahbaz Baidoo scoring a controversial equaliser.
We haven't actually played each other in 12 years. Before that we had played 12 times in 6 years. Think it's more to do with location, not being in the same division with Watford and also the FA Cup game in 2001 where Chris Kiwomya stole our date with Arsenal.

Great to be back despite the best efforts of the football authorities to kill us off. Could be one of the last chances you have to visit Kenilworth Road warts and all as we prepare to build our new stadium. Also looking forward to playing QPR. I'm old to remember the rivalry at its peak in the 80s. Had more to do with the off the field activities. Always a tense passionate game home and away, much more so than games against our traditional rivals down the road. Doubt the younger supporters have any idea. They'll have to ask their elders.

Been there once before. I think Markus Bean got sent off and caused a ruckus. How many does your end hold? I am sure it'll sell out before I get a chance to get a ticket like Portsmouth did.

It'll be capped at 1,000 seats ish. No more, because the away end is now split for home fans too.

Only 1000 these days which is a great shame. QPR used to bring a few thousand back in the days when we had terracing.

Just need Portsmouth or Charlton to come up and suddenly the league doesn't look quite so Northern as the last few years.

Happy to see Barnsley back, but can't say I'm thrilled at the prospect of visiting Kenilworth Road again. We got pumped 5-0 on our last visit back in 2005, and I don't think the place has changed at all since! Luton will definitely need their new stadium to establish themselves at this level.. when will it be finished?

Well it needs to be started first - but they do now have planning permission to build a new ground.

3/4 years?

QPR are being left behind by everyone in London at the moment. West Ham (although they hate it), Spurs, Arsenal, Luton, Brentford have all had new stadiums built or permission granted. I think Fulham, Watford and Chelsea all have permissions to increase their grounds.

And we still have fans that think we don't need to move from LR.
