I'm not going to say Bowery is shit. He's not. But as Timey said, he's a bog standard L2 player, who yes can score 10-15 goals, but can also go for long spells without even looking like he'll score. Maybe him moving to the wing stopped him scoring more this season, but whilst he works hard, I am not the least bit bothered by him moving.

Had he signed for a L2 club, even one with promotion ambitions, I'd have been calling it a decent signing overall. But to sign for a L1 club with ambitions to surely be well clear of danger, it just seems way above his level. This guy is going into an attack that contains Keiron Agard, Chuks Aneke and David Wheeler, all vastly superior players to him. Again as Timey says, fair play to him for this move, his agent is a damn good one. But I would be shocked if he's still playing in L1 in a years time. I'd be surprised if he's still playing in L1 in 6 months time to be honest. This is his level.

We’re more likely to have none of those 3 you’ve mentioned than to have all of them next season.

As for bowery, he’s admitted he’s signed as a back up option and he’s better than Robbie Simpson, so I’m too annoyed by the signing. I doubt he’ll be here for long though, season at most.

Jordan Bowery has signed for MK.

Bit random as Crewe fans were hardly gutted he was leaving?
Huge sigh of relief, had enough half arsed play when I want types at Vale without signing another.
In fairness as others have said doubt we even had an interest. Poor journalism as was the story about Garrett

He's not half arsed though, maybe he was like that playing against your lot, but one of his best traits with us was his work ethic. He'd have been a good signing for your lot, good for 10 ish goals, something which you are still badly lacking.

The Garratt rumour was hilarious. He's got 250 odd appearances for us over 6 seasons, bags of L1/L2 experience. And he's going to sign to be the Port Vale back up keeper?! What nonsense. The local media are properly running short on actual rumours if that's the best they can come up with.

Fair point you watch him regularly.
Looked lazy and disinterested against us a bit like Montano for us .

Bury, Notts County, Walsall and MK Don fans - what’s he like?

Seems to be a decent player when he can be bothered?

That seems to be it doesn't it - lots of talent but a poor attitude. One thing for sure is Bowyer won't tolerate laziness.

It seems Bury and Walsall fans don’t rate him.

What do both clubs have in common? They were both relegated and it’s entirely Ismail’s fault. :2thumb:

Ryan Lowe and Jamie Devitt "bumped into eachother" at the Trafford Centre and Ryan would love to have him at the club.

Northern lad, Devitt, casually doing abit of retail therapy nearly 400 miles away in Plymouth; randomly bumps into new Plymouth manager, Ryan Lowe.

Seems plausible.

Wasn't entirely his fault we went down but he was among a number of players who failed to turn up.

Had a barn storming first month, then was shit the rest of the season. He is championship quality when attacking his full back but conference north quality when it comes to end product. Very frustrating player. Doesn't protect his full back all that much either. I'm happy to see the back of him as we need more consistent players next season.

Sounds like League Two is his level, hence the 1 year deal.

Your ex-chief scout is now at Bradford City, so presumably that also is another reason why he’s ended up at VP.

You only saw him in league one.

He played 8 games for you!! He's 25 and played about 100 games for about 8/9 clubs. Yes he will show the odd glimpse of being good but most of the time you wont realise he's playing. The fact Bradford have given him a year contract shows that its a risk.

The Trafford Centre is in Manchester. They met on Sunday apparently.

Lowe would’ve been given a very good budget to tempt him to the club, plus he will have whatever money Carey was on to play with as he must have been on £5k per week.

Mayor and Devitt would be excellent additions, sadly.

I saw enough in those 8 games to know he will be a success at league two level. He's average at league one level, however league two level he is very good. It's a good signing for Bradford.

Exactly the same was said about Josh Wright last season...

Carey was reportedly on 8k a week. We apparently "improved" his contract offer but he chose a new challenge. Crazy money for League 2.

Would possibly explain why we had a top 6 L1 attack and then a defence including Niall Canavan and Tafari Moore!
