I considered posting this to the tinpot thread, but I thought I'd give this cup its own section given there's 2 non league sides featuring again. This time, it's ourselves and Solihull who'll be vying to win a lifetime supply of caramel based treats.

The 3rd round draw takes place on Wednesday 14th August and I'm hoping for a swift exit along with a trip to Dublin, so Bohs away would suit me well. I'd rather avoid TNS if possible as their chairman is the only man who's more obsessed with us than B2TF and Chipmunx. We'd probably beat them and have to stay in this competition too.

Last season the draw was arranged so that we had to play a Scottish club first. After that it was an open draw. Bohemians away was a great trip, I loved Dalymount. We actually got lucky with both our draws as Airdree away was effectively Glasgow away

In that case, I'd like a Glasgow or Edinburgh based side away. I see Hearts play these games at Tynecastle. That'd be a decent experience.

The tie I wanted was Queens Park away as they play at Hamden

If you’re really really unlucky, you might get Brora Rangers away.

Definitely deserves its own thread this.

In the era of champions League clamour, football needs to retain some of its quirk by way of the Anglo Italian cup style cup competitions of previous generations.

Some varied away day locations, against exotic opponents from foreign leagues. Sounds like Sutton had a good adventure.

The Anglo-Italian Cup, we’ve won that. We are European giants

All the Tunnocks you can eat for a year. It's why I'm applying to enter myself next season, I'll win it easily as well, no one will match my desire to get the prize.
This competition is far less tinpot than the current EFL trophy btw.

The Anglo-Italian cup needs to return as well, loved that competition, where else would you get to see Gabriel Batistuta line up against Southend United. We got to the English final once, used to have groups then a knockout for a England-Italy final. We lost on penalties to Notts County (who I think went on to win it at Wembley?) can genuinely say one of the most gutting loses I ever had as a Southend fan.

If that happens you should be forced to quite the English league system in shame and apply to join the league of Wales next season.... and start in the 2nd division....

Saturdays pre match burger...... @Wrexham_AFC entertain @AyrUnitedFC So we’ve come up with: Double burger, cheese, bacon, haggis, lorne sausage, deep fried mars bar. With a pint £10 pre match.

Wrexham being backed into around 4/6 to win tomorrow against a side second in the Scottish Championship.

Worth opposing given the lack of interest by Wrexham and their questionable start to the season?

The Scottish Championship is roughly National League standard and I’d imagine Ayr are taking this match more seriously, so I’d say yes.

Usually this'd be the case, but Bryan's said that we're going all out for this one as we need to win a game to lift spirits. I think we'll win it, even if Yozzer is clueless.
