"Suggestion in the away end is that this kicked off after the penalty was awarded when the goalkeeper sprayed fans with a water bottle. Fans stood next to the flashpoint are adamant there was no racist abuse which appears to have been suggested"

We're firmly back to being Taylor-ed.

Oh the hilarity, ex-Sutton goalkeeper Alan Julian, who was awful for us, scored an injury time equaliser for Billericay. Feeling sick

Match abandoned. Haringey will no doubt be awarded the match and we'll be thrown out of the Cup and banned. All because of a couple of wankers who don't represent us. I hope someone gets hold of them on the way out.

Doubt it. Up to people who were there around them to tell the truth about what happened really. Can't see any other way that it can be proved and if it can't be proved then you can't exactly be thrown out.

Very harsh result for Brackley that, they were streets ahead of our lot who didn’t look arsed, flukey deflected goal winning it.

Agreed, it’s happened here as most people know, if people were there and it did happen and it was heard it has to be reported regardless of who the fan is, there should be no club loyalty and protecting people who use racist language.

It would definitely be reported, I know a lot of our fans who were there and they would be on it like a shot. The reality is every single comment i've seen from our lot categorically states no racist language was used at any time during the game. It appears none of our fans know the idiots who threw the bottles, which is strange. In hindsight it should have been kept all-ticket and not pay on the day which it was changed to a couple of days ago.

Yeah I didn’t bother listening in today, but at least we’re in the hat and another season of dodging the ignominy of not qualifying for the cup.

You missed nothing, if that was Sweeney's interview for the job I'd be looking elsewhere, hopeless from defence to attack, keeper was MOM, says it all, but like you say it's kinda irrelevant the performance of a cup game, we played shit but are £18,000 better off and into the first round, Darlo or Sun'land next.

I’d be looking elsewhere regardless. I have a lot of time for Sweens and he speaks well but we need someone with a track record. I’d definitely be looking at Challinor and his missus says he’s interested so lets have a word with him.

I've just had this from a mate who's at Haringey

"It’s an absolute disgrace, once again few idiots caused problems. We got a penalty their keeper sprayed water at Yeovil fans then someone threw beer, then a bottle was thrown. Penalty then scored and 2 more bottles thrown, with that they took their players off, rightly so"

Whilst a racist reaction to the provocation from the keeper is totally unacceptable - neither is it acceptable for the keeper to spray paying members of the public with water? Am I alone in thinking this?

In fact, it's assault.

Keeper provokes fans. Fans react. Keeper squeals and Haringey decide not to bother playing anymore because they’re losing in the hope they’ll be awarded the tie.

One of them where you simply can’t win as the bigger team. Should really have been 6 or 7-1 but they seemed to have some kind of forcefield around the goal and then they very nearly nicked a replay with the last kick.

Their goal was an absolute screamer, mind.

Good to see a fair chunk of step 3 and 4 teams make it through. Well done to Chichester, Maldon & Tiptree, Nantwich, Kingstonian and Carshalton. Two more with Stourbridge/Whitby and Hayes & Yeading/Poole on Tuesday night and a small chance that Potters Bar might make it.

As for Haringey, fair play to them for walking off, if what is being alleged is true, and Yeovil's reaction suggests it was, then they were justified in doing so.

I'm not sure what the best resolution to the situation is. I'd favour the match being declared void and a rematch at Coles Park on Tuesday night at least part expensed by Yeovil.

The players and managememt had to go off and show solidarity with Haringey given what actually happened hasn't been confirmed yet. Our fans' reaction stongly suggests it didn't happen but we will wait and see what transpires. The bottle throwing definitely happened and I hooe they are caught and banned. I feel sick to the stomach at the moment.

but you’re not allowed to react as you’re “racist”.

There’s clearly an issue that needs addressing across the board but sometimes the racist card can be played too - Nathan abbey played it against mansfield playing for Boston - it was ridiculous

The problem is that the media just report alleged racist incidents as DEFINITELY RACIST without any evidence. Then by the time it’s unproven everyone has already assumed it’s true.

Given how many Yeovil fans have condemned the bottle throwing and spitting it just seems a bit strange that no one has heard the alleged racial abuse.

Unless it’s 100% proven then there’s no way Haringey should be given the win.

It’s a bit disconcerting to read about Yeovil fans accused of racial abuse, and players walking off. Frankly I think it’s probably bullshit but once that accusation starts flying about it’s guilty until proved innocent.

Did you go?

Very surprised by this. Lynn knockeed Alfreton out earlier in the competition and looked a very decent side.

Yeah went to the 3rd qual round win over Morpeth too. Kings Lynn were terrible, Nantwich has 2 cleared off the line, hit the post and crossbar missed 2 1 on 1s, they murdered them.

Kings Lynn didn’t have a shot on target from what I remember
