On the other hand, it does leave a big gap in midfield, whereas a player with more team responsibility would be prepared to work back and help out a bit more. Especially so when we are already playing with two and sometimes three players up front.

Bauer, top bins 25yard overhead scissors kick in the 98th minute to win the game 1-0

We go top and aren't shifted all season.

Champions.

I'll have what you're taking

I think you are most of the time.

I'm being more cautious with predictions this season. Annoying I can't make it on Sunday due to going to the NFL at Wembley that day, spose I'll have to watch it with a beer in a pub somewhere instead.

Mark Warburton wants VAR in the Championship..

Has he seen what a mess it's been in the Premier league ?!

Well it's not certain that decision would be overturned ..

Was it a clear and obvious mistake?!

You do wonder if the FA just introduce rules for the sake of it to look good/useful or kiss arse to FIFA. VAR is a terrible idea and theres more incl accidental handball ruling out goals etc. Half the fun of football is the ref or lino fucking up.

One rule change i do love and has had a majorly positive aspect on the game is a goal kick not having to leave the area. Whod have thought how much excitemet that would bring as everyone thinks theyre Barca playing it out and conceding left and right. Fantastic rule change.

Dunno what side we'll go for on Sunday, will be a lot more confident if Ben Davies is fit.

Can see Potts or Bodin coming into the side but Stockley deserves a chance after bullying Blackburn too.

Think it's been great for the neutral. Not sure how I'd feel if Millwall were on the receiving end of some of the decisions we've seen so far, though.

It's a new technology and we've only had it for a while. Problems so far are to do with application and translating the new rules onto the field of play. Some have worked, some haven't, but hopefully a bit of common sense will prevail and we'll see some revision of some of the rules soon.

Not very good from today. Think the realties of the level are finally hitting home with a few. Defensively we simply are not good enough, don’t think any of the back 4 are really up to it.

Midfield we have Brown who is a cut above the rest of our midfield and definitely a championship calibre player but as soon as he went off with his injury today any attacking invention we had entirely disappeared. The rest... in the right midfield Pelly would be fine at this level, Tunnicliffe not sure what he offers, not great protection for the back 4 and little attacking quality further up. Not sure what he has done to usurp Berry//Moncur/Shinnie for that spot.

Certainly hope Brown isn’t out for any length of time otherwise we could be in serious trouble judging by today.

Agree with above. Our lack of quality at the back in all four positions is starting to show. i think we should look at having just Collo up front and thru the middle, with three attacking mids behind and two defensive mids.

We're struggling for options to pass to in midfield when we play it out and invariably get caught out and lose it and get punished by ruthless fast quality counter attacks

I didn't realise we had 70% possession and passed the ball over 550 times in that match - the thing is, even with those stats, we would've been lucky to get nil and didn't even deserve second in that game. It proves how passive we were until the last 10 minutes. Just didn't compete in any department and extremely concerning defensively.

Forest should've had four - both Grabban and Lolley both missed very inviting chances and also had a stonewall penalty for handball turned down by Gavin Ward.

Is Naby Sarr the worst player in the Championship?

Yesterday we were poor. Against Bristol City we played like a top 6 side... unfortunately we can't do this only 1 in 4. Next week at Reading is a big game. I think we'll be OK come May, but we need to invest in a defence in January. We have no problems scoring goals; only 2 teams convert more goals than we do from chances, which I think will save us just about.

Something else for the Luton fans - just me thinking that since the last international break Collins has been pretty poor... I think he looks knackered to be honest.

I was in Ireland during that break - the media over there were hammering him that he was playing instead of 19 year old Aaron Connolly who has only ever scored in 1 league game who suddenly became the messiah after that Tottenham game. Collo was played in a role where he was having to do the job of two players and had very little service. His confidence has seemed to drop since then.

Absolutely dominant that. A shame Barkhuizen fucked up chance after chance, should have been very comfortable.

Fisher and Pearo outstanding.

Top of the league.

Collins does look knackered but to be honest we dont create the kind of opportunities he thrives on. He puts in a ton of work but fundamentally he is a poacher. Both fullbacks have a woefully poor delivery into the box, Potts in particular is a terrible attacking fullback and Bree is only marginally better. As they are normally the only width we play with those balls into the box are simply not there.

The reason Cornick has had an uptick in form is because Brown is there providing balls through the middle that he can use his pace to thrive off, but those arent the kind of opportunities that Collins needs.
