City have won it and I don't think anyone is beating United to second, the tough part is deciding who gets third and fourth out of Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool.

Right now I'd have Spurs as the team to miss out with Liverpool in third and Chelsea in fourth as I don't quite trust that Chelsea side to keep on winning once they get their upcoming run of easy fixtures out of the way. Equally, I'm not sure whether Liverpool have completely dropped their strange habit of losing/drawing to the sides they should be beating even if they've been better in that regard lately.

Arsenal lol.

We've gained more points on everyone since the start of last month and that includes the West Brom and Everton draws. I wouldn't discount us on pipping you for second at all. (Though it's nothing worth bragging about with the way city have been).

What is a bit sad though is that most years Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs results would put them in with a title shot. Hopefully Pep and his squad will be too mentally fatigued to keep this up next season! :D

City have been absurdly good, hopefully you dented their confidence a bit with your win over them but I doubt it very much.

I'm a weird guy because I find wijnaldum an average and overrated player?

I saw him against City, and once again he was just another face in the crowd, without any added value, just like at Newcastle and PSV.

Absolutely, the amount of times he won the ball back was insane. De Bruyne found it very difficult to get past him and Can.

What an utterly bizarre and nonsensical post. It's almost as if you felt you had to respond but couldnt think of anything worth saying.

You know Aber and JohnnyTodd are dredging the bottom of the barrel of material when you look at what they're agreeing with here.

If this is your only argument that would prove that wijnaldum played well, it proves my point that 'the invisible man' is an average player that doesn't add any value to liverpool. Not to mention the fact that liverpool paid a whopping £25 million for such an average player. It's for a reason that wijnaldum has to settle for a spot among the substitutes every now and then.

Do you really know this little about how football works? What you're effectively saying is that a player offers no value unless he's at the forefront of what is deemed obvious and visible play. Players who win the ball back and prevent runs might not come across in an obvious manner, but to say they offer no value is ridiculous.

Who said anything about 'at the forefront'? wijnaldum is an average player that doesn't add any value to liverpool if winning the ball back is his only quality. Remember that liverpool paid £25 million. A player with only some basic skills is certainly not worth that kind of money.

You supposedly support PSV; did you not watch him for years be fundamental to that side, become captain and lead them to the Eredivisie for the first time since 2008? Was he 'average' all that time?

I saw every match, and wijnaldum certainly lived up to his nickname (the invisible man). Only his goals attracted some attention. Have you ever seen him playing for the Dutch squad?

For your information, wijnaldum joined PSV in 2011, and it wasn't until 2014/2015 when he became champions with PSV. In that season, Guardado, De Jong, Willems, Depay, and Arias were the key players, who contributed most to the success.

Right so as winning captain he did nothing, gotcha.

To be fair, that kind of money gets you a solid player which Wijnaldum is. Not sure what you're expecting him to do. Waltz between Fernandinho and Mangala before madjering his way past Ederson?

If Conte plays his strongest starting eleven (3421 with Willian and Hazard being the 2), they can beat anyone. If Conte plays the turgid and pointless 451 with Hazard as a second-striker behind Morata then Chelsea will struggle to do anything of note. I reckon they'll finish 3rd however. 4th will be between Liverpool and Spurs. Arsenal got dicked in the transfer market yet again. They let go of their key performer and got a pussy player à la Özil instead: nice and classy on the ball but don't count on him when things go wrong.

Man City (I think)
Man Utd
Chelsea
Liverpool

Arsenal could still land Auba and are looking at Danilo Perreira. If they got both they could play a really good attacking 4-1-3-2.
Cech
Bellerin Mustafi Koscielny Kolasinac
Danilo P
MickyT Ozil Wilshere
The Cassette PEA
With Danilo dropping in to make a back 3 when in possession with the fullbacks providing width. He plays either defensive mid or cb so it's natural for him to do that. Of course Arsenal won't buy him and playing this way then becomes suicide.

How many matches did you see? It's certainly for a reason that wijnaldum was called 'the invisible man' at Newcastle. He became captain mostly because he was one of the oldest Dutch-speaking players at the time. Only when he scored a goal you noticed that wijnaldum was on the pitch at PSV.

Seriously? £25 million is certainly way too much money for such an average player. Why does liverpool even have an academy if they aren't capable of producing average players like wijnaldum?
