Expect Stoke and Southampton to change managers soon as we have them coming up!

We've got most of the clubs involved at home before the season is out, which hopefully works in our favour: Stoke, Newcastle, West Brom. Palace, Swansea all at home. So if we do go down it'll be because we've fucked those up. Southampton (a) and Swansea (h) are two of the final three. The nightmare would be going away to Burnley on the last day needing something.

Really hope Swansea and West Brom get a couple of win under their belts soon otherwise it would mean that 2 spots will already be filled. It's so much more exciting when anyone can go down and anyone can stay up.

Stoke have sacked Hughes, hope they go for Giggs as he is clueless which will mean that’s one relegation place taken care of.

This guy - love him.

Liverpool are still not mathematically safe and after losing to the bottom-placed side in an embarrassing showing last night I think they have to consider themselves as being part of the relegation dogfight.

They won't like to hear this, of course, and their fans will arrogantly dismiss this as 'wishful thinking' but they are in deep, deep trouble - you mark my words.

Fair play to Swansea, starting to pick up points lately and making a fight of it. Should be a good battle down there this year, just 6 points separating the bottom 10, anybody could go down!

After strong performances against Brighton, Watford, Southampton and Stoke (home game), we've looked pathetic in our first 3 games of 2018, 4 shots on target in 3 games I believe, with Liverpool and Man Utd up next. We can still do it, with home games coming against Bournemouth, Swansea, Palace, Watford and Everton, and aways including WBA, Newcastle and Brighton... but at present we look like the worst team in the league, and we can't work out what's gone wrong!

In my opinion, Liverpool will be safe from relegation this season. However this season, the number of teams battling relegation looks like being much larger than in recent times. Getting dragged into it would be difficult for Liverpool fans to take (do they think they're too big for it?), but if Liverpool continue to slide down the table they too will be in trouble.

And you can take that to the bank.

9th placed Everton only 8 points clear of the bottom with 14 games to go. Amazing.

I couldn't agree more. I hope the hordes of Liverpool fans on here take the time to read your thoughtful summary on their increasingly precarious situation before resorting to name-calling and physical violence.

But they won't.

And that's a guarantee.

So the bad teams seem to be changing manager and doing well. Newcastle haven't done nearly enough in January for there to be any suggestion of an improvement in the second half. Mike Ashley probably thinks the best course of action is to sack Rafa.

We are going to finish bottom.

We've let too many winnable home games pass us by and our coward c*** manager is still here. Reed won't sack him.

Have to beat Stoke - it's one of only winnable away game left !

Maybe West Ham and Huddersfield IF we pick up form from somewhere.

Got Arsenal, Man U, Spurs and Liverpool away to come plus Chelsea home.

I'm sorry but reading those fixtures made me smile.

This is going to be an absolute grind until the finish line. Question is who has the reserves in the tank to keep plodding forwards.

Its a strange table down there. I was looking at Everton in 9th and the gap between them and Stoke in 18th is smaller than the gap between them and Burnley directly above them in 8th.

We could easily have multiple teams still liable for the drop with a game or two to go. It certainly makes for an exciting end for those not involved.

I think Huddersfield and Brighton will be relegated. Carlos Carvalhal looks to have worked his magic at Swansea, so one from Stoke/Newcastle/WBA for the final spot.

Swansea look like they should stay up, although I wouldn't rule out them hitting the skids again once Carvalhal's honeymoon period ends. Just look at Allardyce at Everton, unbeaten in his first 7 games with 4 of those being wins and they now haven't won in their last 7, with 4 of those being losses. It can turn around quickly so I wouldn't say Swansea are out of the woods quite yet, despite big wins against Liverpool and Arsenal.
