I've watched Huddersfield's last two games and theyre unlucky not to have more points on the board ,they played well against Spudz but had little reward and they murdered Burnley and should have left Turf Moor with maximum points . I'm just hoping the walking wounded we have in Van Dijk, Salah and Mane manage to raise themselves for what could be a feisty encounter,as anything less than three points would seriously undermine our efficient start to the season and I fully expect Huddersfield's manager to view this game as an opportunity to grab his first high profile scalp of the season ,so it could be more of an open game than Klopp presumes.

There are doubts on VVD (rib injury still), Salah (muscle tear), Milner (hamstring) and now Mane (hand problem - broken thumb I believe); so its time to use our depth a bit for this one if some of these aforementioned players can't make it. Klopp effectively said there will be a bit more rotation from now on after that tough block of games we've had; and I am looking forward to seeing more of Shaqiri, Keita, Fabinho and hope Sturridge can continue his form.

Looking at our upcoming run of fixtures hopefully our front three and attacking force in general can get going. We've had a very tough start and still scored more this season compared to last up until now. But from here on in last season, our front three was on fire and if they're going to come close to last season's numbers they have to start now. We're facing Huddersfield, Red Star and Cardiff followed by a week off. No excuses.

Tinkering a bit with the line-up. Looks a good side though.

Looked disjointed to me, and the first 20 minutes backs that up.

I think all the Liverpool players were injured.

I have no idea how we're up here. To be honest we're reminiscent of Ferguson's latter United sides, never seeming to play all that well yet keep on winning. Hopefully we stay ahead in the second, but we certainly need to step it up.

Happy for Salah, hopefully he gets another in the second half.

Exactly this mate, we were pretty atrocious tbh, but got the result. Made it very difficult for ourselves, but got the 3 points and we move on.

Missed the game, will catch up with MOTD but I suspected a win for Liverpool would be more laboured than expected as Redpelt surmised. Huddersfield are no gimme, if they had someone decent up front they would be a different proposition. Plenty of time for "Town" to recover, the season is still young and there is a lot of teams in a similar position.
Liverpool wont care about that, three points from a potentially tricky away match (always nervous after an international break right?) is all that matters. This could be the difference between 'Pool's last season and this season, the ability to win grim away fixtures.

We're so unfortunate to only have 3 points. Overall we're performing better than we did in the corresponding fixtures last season but getting so luck at all and not taking chances. I still have faith that the results will come so definitely wouldn't write us off yet. The bottom 3 this time last year was Everton Bournemouth and Palace. Watford, Fulham, West Ham, Wolves, Brighton and Bournemouth up next for us, have to pick up some form...

The fans can see we're giving it everything and are totally unified. You won't find a better atmosphere than that from a team with 3 points from 9 games and no goals in EIGHT consecutive home games..

Liverpool's current game may not exactly sit right with the football purist but its effective, yes its fragmentary in parts but the cohesion that will arrive when the first eleven picks itself will
be worth the wait.

We sit level on points with City who have already showed their hand in terms of the football they're playing ,we on the other hand have yet to push out of the neighbourhood of workmanlike,I think the manager knows the eleven that will provide the smoothest transition to where City are currently at ,but I don't think he's prepared to tamper too much whilst we keep hanging out of Cities hoop by collating the requisite points to remain there.

Plus points from yesterday ,Salah's game in front of goal looks a lot more assured ,Shaqiri's ready to fight to retain his place and Joe Gomez even out of his comfort zone belies his 21 years on this earth by delivering performances of that of a consummate professional.

This has to be the most creative spin I've ever seen on our rivals playing fantastic football and us being dull as dishwater. I'd love for us to "show our hand" any minute now.

Why thank you ,I'm just trying to provide the more querulous of fans in our happy throng by dropping the tiniest crumbs of comfort through a time of such apparent unrest.

No comfort needed mate we're winning, I just thought it was funny. Plus, we were struggling real bad this time last season. Didn't start smashing teams until december really.

"They are very good, we aren't right now - which could potentially mean that we'll be FUCKING AMAZING at another time".

I'm going to use that one.
