The final episode (13) of series one which was fimed in Dubai is quite good, although hopefully they will drop the dead celebrity segment from the next series.
Yeah I'm hoping that was just for this series as it wore pretty thin pretty quickly. James cleaning the blood off the windows was good though. Also hoping they ditch the American as well and iron one or two other things out too; but overall, been a decent series.

Yeah I agree with dropping those bits. Thought the series was very good and I was surprised to see that they will be back later on in the year.

I guess this is the best place for it.

New Top Gear will be coming soon.

Anyone watch the first in the latest series of Top Gear last night? T'was alright I suppose. Seems slightly better balanced without Chris Evans. Enjoyed the section about the Ferrari FXXK.

I managed to watch half of it and then gave up, MLB doesn't do it for me, I'll wait for the second series of the Grand Tour which is due to be aired in mid/late August.

Yeah LeBlanc is as dull as dishwater, always has been. Didn't watch the last series, won't be watching this.

Finally a proper car magazine on TV. Some of the jokes are a bit cheesy but the main content is good. GT tries too hard and on the main more about the presenters than the actual show.

I think Top Gear has been really good. They have made improvements and the presenters are growing on me. Rory (I think that is his name) is the best one. MLB seemed more relaxed, and funny, in episode 2.

Anything with that LeBlanc idiot will indeed be wank.

The Grand Tour: season 2.
it started on Friday and I watched episode 1 this afternoon, it's quite similar now to the Top Gear show before the 3 of them departed old Aunty Beeb, they've discarded the fat American segment, and also done away with the rather silly 'celebrity brain dead' nonsense, instead of the 'star in a reasonably priced car' bit, there's now a 'celebrity face off' where two well known people from a television show race each other for the fastest time around the track, it was all put together well, which also included Hammond's car crash in which he was air lifted to a Swiss hospital.

The celeb thing still slowed it down too much and this ep wasn't great tbh. May has really ballooned too!

Need to catch up, missed the last few episodes. The bit with Clarkson on the farm the other week was hilarious.

I watched episode 8 today which is possibly the best so far, the format is becoming more like the top gear show prior to the punch a producer fracas, plus the female Stig is just as good behind the wheel.

I've got a feeling the female Stig is Kate Beckinsale.

Been catching up with them as I missed a few weeks and couldn't get my stream of episode 8 to work last night, but Jeremy on the farm remains my favourite bit so far.

Autostrada.tv has all the episodes in hd without any buffering, it's also in English.

Ive been catching up with this. Thought episode 5 was okay but episode 6 about the Jaguars was brilliant. Found it very childish, fun, stupid yet great. It is everything I want from this. Good guests on it as well, really really enjoyed it.

Whilst I've enjoyed Season 2, I was disappointed with episode 11 which was the last of the current series, it seemed as though they had run out ideas.

I thought it was hilarious tbh, and laughed out loud at many parts.

Thought its been a good series overall, with the only downside really that celeb crap that slows the whole thing down for 15 mins a show (I always skip that part). Hoping they bin that part completely for the next series, then I can see it really flying.

Yeah I thought it was good as well. When he first drenched himself with water I got the giggles, purely because I just assumed he is the sensible one so he would have made it water tight.

Wasn't worth a new thread but did anyone watch the new Top Gear last night? It was with Chris Harris, Paddy McGuiness and Freddie Flintoff.

I thought it was really good. Freddie and Paddy were really funny on it and they appear to actually get on. It was so awkward with Matt LeBlanc on it previously.

It was a good watch and I am looking forward to seeing more. I thought the road trip was good but the actual challenges were a bit weak.

Had forgotten it was on, but found it whilst channel-surfing after the cycling.

It was pretty good - three blokes who actually seem to like each other and looked as though they were having a laugh - much like Clarkson/Hammond/May (and before them, Brooke-Taylor, Garden and Oddie).

Looking forward to seeing it repeated lots on Rodney. :)

Agree mate, it was entertaining viewing and the chemistry between them came across clearly.

Another very enjoyable episode of it. I think they have got the host spot on this year, from a chemistry point of view.

Having said that, I don't think they have reviewed a car yet so can't really judge their actual car knowledge.
