Muir's not a finisher though and another signing who just hasn't worked.

We are CURSED but in the seasons we've been here sadly I've made my peace with that. Everyone we sign ends up shit, we always lose at home. We have the worst home record over the last 10 years than any other club in the top 5 tiers. It's crap but I'm just getting immune to it now.

The gypsies did warn the club when they kicked them off the car park!

Better team by a mile there but very wasteful in front of goal. Would’ve taken a point before though and just happy we now look to be improving game on game.

Much improved on the Barnet game, but kin ell, Ardley’s teams have an unhappy knack of turning wins into draws and defeats.

We got control of midfield very well though, but shite finishing, general wastefulness around the box and a fucked Booty letting the Wrexham lad run into our box unhindered cost us the win. Why tf was Dennis taken off, anyone know?

Dennis and Booty both looked knackered, he left those subs five mins too late.

Good to hear clear signs of improvement, in all honesty it's earlier than I expected following that pre season

How fascinating- we kicked some gypos off the site before we built The Shay. They put a curse on us. Maybe you're not shit after all Brother, you're cursed.
Like us. :ds:

I thought Dennis looked pretty tired too (there were a few eyebrows raised with that double substitution but I thought they were both justified). That was the best we've played all season. Still a fair bit of work to do but unlike the Barnet game at least it's starting to look like there's shape and aim to our team. I'm happy with a point and there's now the chance to put together a nice little unbeaten run. Let's see if we take it...

Ah there you are, wondered where Mansfield had got to. You know of course that when you've dipped into non league once, its nailed on you'll be coming back? Lincoln, Darlington, Hereford, Halifax, Chester, York. Torquay, Aldershot......... it's only a matter of time. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock...............:ds:

We were shite. County should've battered us on the scoreline.

Yeah you were crap tbh. Wouldn’t have surprised me in the slightest if you’d mugged a winner at the end though.

Sounded like our poorest performance this season, and Notts Countys best. Luckily they still aren't very good at the moment.

Wes Thomas and Kristian Dennis is a tasty forward line.

We're an improving team. First time for a year that we've looked organised, solid and capable of scoring more than one goal.
Frankly, we blew it. We've played play off teams in back to back fixtures so on that basis we aren't a million miles away from the standard we need to be at. Plus we now have competition for places and are able to rotate and rest players.
Definitely positive signs down the Lane.
Before kick off I'd have taken a point but left disappointed that we didn't win.

Theoretically we should keep getting better now. Just got to try and not lose too much ground on the top seven in this first couple of months - Ebbsfleet and Chorley in the next two looks a good chance to get some points.

We were awful, a general trend that on the whole we are poor in front of a big away following. Think we got away with one today and happy to come out of that with a point

Was expecting a harder game but one shot on target and score is a classic away performance. Great following too.
We really need to close out games we take the lead in though, it killed us last season and is doing this.

Sounded like you were, I always remembered when we went down, it was like someone had put a bag round your head, switched off the lights and spun you around expecting you’d be on a level playing field with everyone. Once you’ve done that you’ve half a chance.

Hopefully there is a time we play Halifax again, whereas the fans are pretty much the folk of league of gentleman it’s a nice town for a beer.

Do make sure it’s in the league though

Well let's be honest it's a 50:50 chance between it being a L2 or National League fixture. A real coin flip.

You're a MANSFIELD fan!:fl:

I went with a Huddersfield fan to watch you play there in 2004 and you walloped them 3-1 (Liam Lawrence absolutely fucking brilliant that day). Watching yous come out of the ground anyone would have thought it YOU that got hammered- never seen so many flat caps and sullen faces in my life. What a miserable set of buggars, I thought. Brother. :fl:

Maybe we haven't played enough of the smaller teams yet, but I'm still not getting this. All five of our games were basically indistinguishable from most League Two ones in terms of football played, crowds, pretty much everything.

Well we have played Stockport and Wrexham so crowds were always going to be healthy. It's very pleasing to see, and reinforces how impressive our home attendances have been whatever (aka how bad) the circumstances.

Wait til you go to Boreham Wood, Maidenhead, Barrow etc. Real eye openers.

We've already been to Boreham Wood in the FA Cup a couple of years ago. It was good fun and no more depressing than Crawley or Macclesfield or Accrington.

Can't wait for Maidenhead or Barrow, maybe we're still just a bit giddy at actually still being here! :D

Surely it's more depressing the more seasons you are in non legaue football#stain? The first season it's all new and there is an element of enjoyment in that fact
